  1. I will agree to that. Dp inputs are a bitch to use under pressure. Though Rel's you have to use on prediction since it has the range of a 6A with the invul of a 2C. Mostly referrin to people who have 2 AAs.
  2. The reason why valk upsets me is because if you don't kill him the second you get him to block, if he finds an opportunity to jump out, you might've just lost the match. I mean, does valk have any bad MU's? Granted, a lot of the top tiers dont have bad MU's, but Valk and Tao are the ones that generate the most salt from me.
  3. Dont worry about it, cuz I just noticed another issue is when I play as Relius and lose, my reaction is "fuck their character" but when Im Kagura and lose, Im like "needs more dp" xD. Also, I take casual matches waaaaay to seriously, but its hard not to when someone gives you that savage beating and you cant tell if they're gonna be "man, this player ks trash and should kill themselves" or not.

  5. May be old, but I havnt been usin it. Sj.IAD j.2D j.A combos and is faster (though not as ambiguous) as our usual dash jump j.2D crossups
  6. Idk, her 623B is only slightly more punishable on wiff, with 4f h-invul and a muuuuuch larger hitbox (even if its actual coverage isnt as much as it shows). I honestly cant say which is better or worse since I dont play Izayoi, but I do know I've seen more people get hit by 623B than Rel's 2C
  7. 2Cing it is pointless and risky, cuz even if you IB it, you don't get a CH or an air hit. Man I wish our AA wasn't crap. I mean, usually a character is equipped with 2 AAs that work in different places or 1 good AA. We get 1 bad AA. Aaaaanyway, while watching a videos, seems a lot of high end players have the same problem matchups that I do, so I guess those are just disadvantaged matchups.
  8. I knew that, but there jse to be a 6f grap between his w.5C and wolf dash j.A, so it should at least trade, but it doesnt.
  9. Kinda funny cuz Azrael I have like no issues with. He's gotta decide between mixup or pressure it feels, so I can either mash... or IB and mash. Valk was just aggravating me at the time, but any character who can do one super-jump and bypass relius' neutral I have issues with (Bang, Tao, Valk, etc...)
  10. Did our 5A get nerfed? I havnt been able to hit valk out of wolf dash j.A since the patch, even when mashing the button as hard as I can.

Valkenhayn is the one difficult characters I get plenty of rounds in with, but I'm also blowing off steam for arksys being fucking stupid and not giving Rel ANY defensive options or options to discourage "dont just run up and murder me" while ignis is recharging. Yes, I am salty atm. My right eye is shit because optometrists are assholes and charge $400 for a years worth of contacts.
  12. Human mode valk. So Arksys has a few characters that are godlike with and crap without (Relius/ignis, Arakune/Curse), but Valk is stupid in both modes. Whats his trade off? Bad defense? There's people with worse. No offense to people that main him, I just... cant handle him ._.
  13. I was testing this myself, and when you do any drove follow-ups it seems very difficult to not put yourself in the corner. Of course, I was doin 6DC and 2DC. Is the timing for stances weird to keep them in the corner? One combo I got to work and still keep them in the corner was CH 5DC>[4]6B>6C>6DB>2DC>[4]6A>5B>3C>6DC>2DB 4.2k dmg Now my own question, is therr a specific type of oki we can do on Haku so he cant just 2D it?
  14. This is the most impractical combo ever, but its still cool and I finally figured it out. Requires raw OD, hp <10%, 100 meter, and 236C starter. Kf that isnt specific enough, idk what is xD. Anyway, its that 8k+ combo shown in that cmv a few months ago. OD>236C>214A>5AB>RC>214B>j.8Dx3>j.236C>j.214B>5B>2C>214A>214C>2C>6C>41236B>4D>632146D 8312 dmg
  15. Its also funny because you can use it at varying heights. If you use j.2D and Ignis is above them (likr her feet at their head) no one expects 236D to hit low. Also looks really funny when you set up UBs this way.
  16. So its a damage vs oki type of situation? I'm fine with that, I just always used 2DB till now.

  18. So, what are the pros and cons between deciding on A or B orb oki? Till now, I've always done A oki (this is largely due to people for some reason never blocking it). I think the main reason I never go for B orb is because if ot manages to clip someone out of a tech (or they just... dont block) i have no clue how to follow up without screwin up the combo cuz of B orb smp
  19. Well if your sig is your mains, 2 could just lawl dp and the other has a 5f 5A (probably an unfavorable trade without IB though). Frame data says nothin about Terumi's H-invul on his 6A, but if its 5f onward it should beat it if you react fast enough.
  20. As I said, I was just opening it for discussion. Realistically, the combo should only be used when you're at half ignis or less, because at this point, regardless of how little ignis gauge you're using, you're gonna have to be without her for a few seconds on oki and pressure. If there was a combo that restored her to above half, we could just recycle the combo and still get oki. But anyway, seems like leis not ground bouncing was what made ignis desummon combos possible. Maybe impossible now.
  21. Ok, I got CP for vita which lets me lab anywhere, so I was lookin back at one of the pre-1.1 CMVs... there was some underappreciated stuff in the one that showcased the vinum glitches. The guy had posted ignis desummon combos that were meterless. After realizing now how good it would be to have a combo that regens the ignis yoy use with no heat cost, I labbed hard (my fingers hurt from not bein use to vita dpad for so long). So, I had a small bit of success with ignis desummon. Corner 5B>3C>236C>214A>41236B>5B>6B>4D>5D>5B>2C>6C>22A I only managed to land this once and the damage was like 3500, so its not great, I just wanted to open it up as a topic for discussion.
  22. My salt comes from getting AA'd during air dash pressure, then trying to do the same to their airdash pressure, only to remember that everyone in the game has an AA better than relius' :D
  23. I think I only played him on Vita, back when my blockstrings with Rel were [5B>6D>5B>5C>3C>2D]xn. You can just feel the mixup right?
  24. Ggs to ZONG and defteros. Really surprised I managed to rank up off defteros. He was one of the first people that constantly destroyed me a while back.
  25. Using Jin as my dummy (though I've tested before on all characters) both min and max range 3C could do the IAD
