At this point I think the only reason we haven't seen her in some form yet is because they still aren't sure what to do with her. I mean Pachi pretty much already said that balancing her in the context of Xrd's RC system required some drastic changes if that Evernote from Fern is anything to go by.

It's probably better that you just invest time into the character you personally want to play because if you just pick up a counter pick then your friend is going to probably learn that matchup and still win even though it's not in his favor.

Well the original SNK went bankrupt right after and for the most part the gameplay wasn't any better until Playmore happened

I have no idea what you're talking about at all. The overwhelming majority of GG's comedy characters are from Pre-Xrd. May, Faust, Bridget, debatably Jam, Slayer and Zappa to a lesser extent. The only characters from Xrd I would say are at all lighthearted are Elphelt who is now an evil robot and Jack-O who is also debatable.

Trying the 1.1 route on Elphelt and I'm not sure which variation to use. The lightweight one (j.Px2 j.S) seems to not work because she falls out. Should I be using something else or just going for 236H off the 1H instead of jumpcancel?

Consider also that this is on "next gen" hardware. It is inexcusable for it to look this hideous. But since it's KOF it will probably play very well so I'm still excited.

One more thing I'd like to say because I missed it earlier...under no circumstances do you EVER say "Don't talk to me unless you're good at this game." Like, what the FUCK. As I mentioned prior I barely follow the Persona scene so I have no clue who Bace or whoever is, they could be the best Persona player in the world for all I know, but it doesn't matter. If you consider yourself a top player, then you must also consider how your actions reflect upon your game and community. Furthermore, based on how serious many of you are about stamping out misinformation through anecdotal evidence, I would THINK that you'd encourage low level or inexperienced players to go directly to a reputable source, but when you tell someone to not talk to you unless they're a certain skill level then congrats, you have done the exact opposite. If every high level player did that, then the entire mid/low level community would be nothing BUT anecdotes because nobody would feel like they're able to verify their information through a reputable source. I'm not saying you're under any obligation to play the shepherd, but I imagine most players are mature enough to know right from wrong. But more importantly, use some fucking courtesy and get some perspective. It doesn't matter if you're some random poster on DL or if you're Daigo Umehara or the god damn president of the United States, you're not above someone as a human being just because you play a video game better than they do. Fuck outta here with that nonsense.

I propose that they make Slayer's DOT track the opponent, be completely unblockable and safe on whiff, and always do counterhit properties no matter what the situation. Also for it to wall stick and have instant startup. And I don't even play Slayer.

So what are the optimal punishes against VV and GV? Usually I just jump up and do a simple air combo, what should I be doing if I succeed in a safe jump or bait them with air movement? If I wait on Sol to land he can reversal throw if I'm close and return to neutral if I'm not.

I'm not a expert or anything but that doesn't sound wise. Retro consoles don't display well in HD compared to CRT, and in fact I believe some of them drop frames but I'm not sure on that one. If you really want to play old games in HD (that don't have an HD re-release) you would probably be better off using an emulator with filters, but I probably shouldn't go into detail on that because rules.

Well the problem isn't with the logic behind the phrase, it's the wording. There are certain things that won't make sense to someone getting started with the game or someone at intermediate level. It's like taking a subject in school, you don't start with the advanced classes. That said you should probably at least attempt to explain it to them before you write them off as being unworthy of your time because they aren't as good at a video game that simulates fights between characters from a glorified dating sim.
