  1. oh Because 5C pushes them too far away and the hit stun is just short enough so by the time the little puppet reaches them they can just block it. 5C_cantabile only works in the corner, but in that case it pushes carl farther away from the opponent and a pick up combo is probably harder to follow up with. personally i'd like to see them completely remove cantabile's "whiff if ur too close" option but i guess that would be too easy.

Also jC knock downs into 8D seem like they make for very hairy situations for the opponent, as well as brio in the corner. also, is it me or does using the same nirvana move multiple times eat up allot more of her bar between activations than using different moves? (thus the 6D and 3D in one ground combo.) also 3C ->IAD alle~can might not be for combos but it puts them back into pressure and i think if u combined it with a nirvana move it would completely stuff forward teching, and a neutral tech puts them in NOC so it semi-forces a back roll. If you got sneaky and did a glide throw instead you could maybe even cross them over or tic-throw even? I will say tho it seems like that litchi was trying to mash out of resets because i heard multiple unnecessary "counter!" hits lol.

  5. Plat -dose- seem to have a very wide hit box because of those pig tails but who knows maybe it'll work on Valk/Jin/etc too. i feel like it won't work on ragna/tsubaki/arakune.
  6. No one does 2D anymore because apparently it does no damage and lost it's special proration.

  8. Idk watching characters (who aren't tager) in CS2 in general, carl's damage isn't significantly worse, just a little worse by comparison. Platnium? she has bad damage...
  9. I'm pretty sure you always have one air option after an air throw break. it's how you set up unblcokable resets with j.B+C(break) brio air dash (j.a)xN 8D in the corner and stuff.
  10. the j.c 3D stuff look s like it's actually pretty swift. I'm slowly becoming less worried about carl, though the lack of life bar still is distressing. I want to see some vs. Mu match ups. Side note: Tager seems absolutely brutal ...
  11. yeah it seems like the screen-stop on cantata's start up is longer to compensate.

  13. does 8D also take 2 primers from standing opponents? because if it does you could put opponents into really nasty guard situations with semi-force crouching and stuff.
  14. i feel like a combo that would hold them in the air even close to that long would cary them far away, especially with j.c knock down so ud have to face the corner.
  15. The j.C thing is actually really neat. not gonna lie. Looks like the new sandwich idea is launch -> wake up / reset rather than huge juggles. I still worry tho. Hazama is a footsies kind of thing. Characters with strong (maybe even just moderate) rush down still seem like they're going to cripple carl. Side note: Platinum is more talkative than Hazama and almost as talkative as Bridget... <3
  16. Judging by the video in the lok test, no. Her life drains faster from attacking too it looks like.
  17. This Did ark not take into account that we need nirvana for pressure too and if she's almost dead by the time we land a hit 1 little solo carl combo isn't going to do a thing?
  18. the combo after the burst started with about 20% of her life already gone but yes. She was dying way too fast. I did notice that it looks like 3C starts up faster and maybe even recovers a little faster. yay? And when he does it a second time in round 2 3C doesn't even put enough hit/block stun to protect him from makoto mashing out. p.s. Arakune has always made the game unplayable. I'm a firm believer that he is unfixable.
  19. I'm really starting to see CS Rachle honestly. What happened to rachle in CS? they took away everything and gave her like.. what one new trick. CS2 Carl, they've taken away his damage, his footsie tit for tat, his human shield, he lost his air reverse Gatling, and we get 3D pick up. lose almost everything, get 1 parlor trick. and Struggling for 4K with a Super was Rachel's bag in CS. and she could at least run away. We can't. I'm really legit worried..

  21. If he can still play keep away and zone you into that ridiculous damage i would say he'll be pretty over-the top. Sorry but nothing should do 8k+... I didnt like clap trapping in CT so idk why this is okay. But enough bitching about arakune. speaking of CT tho, why do i feel like we may be going back to the days of lame-carl. And yay that we still seem to get beat out by mashing.
  22. .. so nirvana can still be punching-bagged by opponents, dies faster when hit by opponents, and we don't have damage anymore? and the brio wall-stick is unimpressive...? i'm not sure i'm okay with this.
  23. so i was thinking. Who all remember's the old/bad summon combo from CT of cantabile(22d) 5b j.b j.b brio allegretto? since Brio has that new Wall-Bind property, i can see a similar set up like that leading into some really mean corner-summon loops.
  24. I know what it meant lol that was more of a "No way really? we have a busted-ass AA now?" side note, Seems like Volante in juggles is ass now. I wonder if 4D is still worth doing?
