  1. something on the PSP version i think.
  2. Sadly it's because match ups are beginning to look like they did in CT. Get the loop? cool ggs. Cant get the loop? you're in trouble... Fighting Hakumen? good luck. It's less-stupid than CT but still kinda .... that way-ish... so the match up info just becomes a briefe list of what you can punish into reset and since carl can hit confirm just about anything into it.... yeah. that said i'd adore some match up info anyways.
  3. If you have enough heat you can do another 5C sj.B j.2C j.B j.B j.C 8D Fermata after that first one but the timing is tighter. Yay looping. (does over 5K p.s)
  4. I may be slow to the draw here but did anyone else notice carl's grab radius seems bigger?
  5. Wow so i decided to go back and mess with CS1 carl for a while and i forgot how odd the inputs are for some of those combos o.o CS2 Carl is growing on me though, not because of simpler combos but i really have come to love j.C 3D shinanigans. Even when not doing the reset, being able to end random nonsense with j.C and almost always forcing them to land on or close to a 3D is just insanly useful. i found myself doing allot of j.c enders and then saying to myself 'fuck, right... cs1.' even without 3D, j.C knock down gives carl a few solo oki options sine he falls to the ground right at about the time they would be instant teching, and if they wait it's even easier to react. You still deal with wake up reversal lame-ness but i love scrubbing in a grab or just jumping over their head as soon as they tech and doign j.C 5.B cantabile set ups. I also have found i prefer to punish rolls with 6B these days. who knew. Because initialy i hated all this xD
  6. I'm not Real i'm half-real. Atleast these days I am. i have yet to master the art of cookie-cutter unblockable resets that i'm supposed to know how to do. In all honesty i dont mind the damage nerf, it's nirvana's meter nerf that kills me. no more human shield all day ; -;
  7. you shamelessly 6A when approached :D <3 play with me again some time tho
  8. Dear Danny: why the hell do we lag so much i don't think you even live more than 150 miles away. Love you forever~ Toasty
  9. <has not done the challenges, watches match videos>
  10. you actualy don't want to be fast. it's actually very rhythmic, but unfortunately there is no real trick, it's just a practice practice practice issue. just don't try to mash it out; it's a very 1 2 3 kinda thing.
  11. i telleport her in right after hit1 of cantabile, just before the launch. also sorry dude, but i never play on PSN i own the xBox version.
  12. the reset is the hard part, the jump loop is easy, the only trick is u cant try to mash it out. it's very delayed/deliberate. but for the most part it's just j.b then j.1C repeate. You use diagonal-back(1) instead of straight down (2) because it pulls Nirvana and the opponent towards you as your attacks are pushing them away, thus allowing them to loop. the only real trick is the delay. and until you learn to do the reset you can just end the loop with j.2C j.B j.C -->preasure/mix up/rhapsody of memories for preasure / 2B 3C cantata to end with damage. Untill you learn to time the unblockable (and it is tricky.)
  13. do you mean the basic jump loop?
  14. the only way i can see this haku set up working is if it's a trick with hit stun proration, where the 6C would normaly combo if it was executed earlier, because you -can- combo 3D -> 6C. (Since the other unblockable works in about the same way) and yeah Ragna (and all the other squat-hit-box targets) are trickier for me. Tall and thin isnt much of a problem.
  15. it's very low to the ground and for some reason it also works better with nirvanna behind you, I think she pushes you forward just a little. also when you get to it, there's no time for delay between the 2C and the 236a as well as between it and the j.B you, you have to do it very quickly or they'll tech out.
  16. presumably they can block that 6C though, correct? edit: ooo wait no, the screen shakes. that means it's fully charged. guess you gotta start charging mad early, like before 8D ends.
  17. Sorry fixed. JG: Curious, i know you were doing some playing with big damage combos, how well does carls' damage do if you toss a gold burst in during his new 4D juggle? I'll mess with it myself but i know other members of the cast can bust out stupid damage with gold bursts, just curious how we fare.
  18. yeah new carl is less-fun, but still a sneaky son of a bitch. Having 3D for amazing Wakeup is really nice tho, I will say.
  19. o_O video of this?
  20. it's low? really? i feel like when i'm low i hit the ground o-O
  21. Reset's not so hard to do on tager because you're so high in the air on him but I find myself hitting the ground often or the j.a in (j.B j.A j.2C) missing allot when trying to preform the reset. I'll keep playing with it but any tips would be greatly appreciated.
  22. wait what? combo into astral?? this intrigues/amuses me. Edit-tastic: Kay the only semi-practical one is the corner set up because honestly when are you gonna astral + gold burst combo. Still, lawl.
  23. I'd like the answers here as well. Also fun/flashy/decent mid screen damage: 4D Reset -> Hop Under, 5C sj.B j.2C j.B 8jc J.B8]D[ j.C -> land -> Fermata, 44 5C sj.B j.214C 8]D[ iad j.c into oki for 4.3k and wake up game, uses... about 40% of nirvana's meter if i recall correctly. Also good for flashy finishers with a cantata if you've got 100% heat. (Edit: Fermatta can whiff on smaller characters, see Platinum, if the distances gets messed up.) In general i've found that the j.C -> 8]D[ knock down makes it absurdly easy to combo into fermata. And i do kinda like that. Also finding that in the land of scrub tactics, j.C knock down v.s people who instant-tech when they hit the ground is fun for green throw set ups.
  24. She's been able to do that and in CS1 it might have had some applications but CS2 is far too meter-conservative for that to be useful for anything but flash. It does look neat tho.
  25. Awrighty finally adjusting to the knock down, now to get used to to akward j.a j.a j.b+3D. any tips on that one?
