  1. Something i just kinda stumbled on: small air-juggle -> 5C -> Fermata is a really mean tech trap.. As long as you're still close-ish to nirvana they can't tech forward neutral or back because they'll still eat it. and if they do tech and eat it you can combo off it. Idk if anyone else has tried much with this before. but it seems kinda mean. I s'pose late-teching would dodge it though. the training dummy doesn't do that tho.
  2. the 2B -> 5B Gatling might be enough to extend the length of Carl's ground pressure for nirvana to recover, and if vivaceB is full invincible it might be an option for crossing up with 2/4D (since usualy you do it with vivaceA at short distances, i assume b would be used for block strings that keep you farther away from the opponent. but a might still work.) and there's also always Anima shenanigans
  3. if it has heavy block stun you could j.a into Brio, which would go into Wall Bind combos if you're near a corner. That might be pretty sexy.

  7. i'm proud of myself~ i actually pulled off 4D in a juggle combo today. in a match. too bad i dropped the easier allegretto 8D fermata finisher at the end =| from awesome to lame in seconds. woo! lol

  10. It's techable but 3C cancles into cantata really quickly so i'm wondering if it can catch them before they hit the ground and are able to tech. fermatta probably not tho because it just starts too slow so they can tech off the ground before it smacks 'em
  11. I feel like if you're close enough to them you might still be able to jump cancel 3C into j.2c alle~can -> combos, just you wnt have enough time to complete the cross over of IAD j.2C alle~can. Presumably if you input it fast enough 3C->cantata/fermata should hopefully still work too. I'm just speculating but i hope they wouldn't make his trip completely useless. vids please?
  12. I do it on accident allot now so it's probably just fine to do it on purpose. Just wondered because Volante and 4D don't have the 102% proration.
  13. it's feasible to slip 2D's into juggles with alle~can 5C 2D i think right? even if the new high bounce takes away j.2c jc right?
  14. I dont think volante itself is multi hit just that it has multi hit armor against other projectiles. So you cant counter projectile it. Still helps allot but i imagine it will still have no hit/block stun. If it does hit multiple times as well... well... there goes my volante -> Green throw mix up but oh well lol. But yeah Overall i like the idea that nirvana is actually now a threat to opponents outside of combos. .. Poor Tager is gonna have fun. but it's always sucked for him.

Oh btw i think i know what they mean about Cantata's new start up Know how it's totally not invincible? well i think what it does now is carl does the start-up frames before the super flash and therefore if he's hit out of it's its start up before the gear comes out (super flash) he doesn't loose 50 heat. That's my assumption. and if this is the case, i'd call that a really nice buff.
  16. I think she dies faster because Anima and Fuoco are more threatening now. or that's the intent anyways. Either way i'm not keen on having to do more sis-less fighting. Carl's whole scheme is that he's 2 people. And that he's kinda sister-Dependant. Lets not break the formula here (Also why would i want to play arakune? it's like CT carl. get the combo? HUZZAH YOU WIN! la-ame. I'm fairly certain that they wont nerf everyone elses damage and still let arakune zone people into 8k + recruse)
  17. that's going to be rather odd to get used to XD yes 214c that is what i mean. i've been backwards all day. so i'm curious, think j.2C j.B 2D will still work in air combos? i feel like if J.C hits them on the ground it'll be unwanted in that string because even if 2D will pick them up, if they are on the ground they wont get the super high bounce that you get from 2D hitting aerial opponents.

I thought JC only drops them on counter hit? which btw makes CH j.C allot better imo since you could usualy only get things off ch j.c if you did it super low to the ground, and they were never more than 5b j.bblahblah combos. and the CH 6D sounds delightful. I get allot of those too XD. ... of course it's only delightful if the vivace, 5B j.B j.236C 8D pick up still works. i never got all the specific info on carls "changes in untech time" from the earlier loc tests. I'm still kind of enthralled with Fuoco being sure to come out and anima having super armor. That's some unlimited Carl B.S. right there.
  19. I can live without the added hit stun from Fatal as long as j.b still wall bounces. If nothing else it gives me a split second to collect my head and form a plan. and really, a.Vivace?? That was the only thing we had that was almost a reversal c.c
  20. What i'm curious about is if it knocks down in the air, do we still bounce off their heads or will it be like Unlimited carl and take us to the ground with them?
  21. Why wouldn't we be able to combo off 3C? If they were silly enough to make it keep you grounded even when used on an already KD opponent that would be dumb. 3C (j.2c alle_can)xn

Shit-storm of Carl changes O.o I'm going to be learning the game all over again... again. and I was just getting used to volante in air combos :x by the way when they say cantata... do they mean rhapsody? because cantata never took up nirvanna meter that i was aware of c.c In any case, if anima is getting it's super armor and Fuoco still retains it's "garunteed to come out" property from the last loc test i think Carl is still quite dangerous. if nirvanna can't just be poked out of everything that makes her a pretty dangerous thing, even if you can't net 5k juggles off of her. Given the way they seem to want to make the game play, we might not be in as bad a position. However if "big damage only comes from the corner" and the j.2C thing ruins the j.2C allegretto 8D loop in the corner that will kinda.. hurt.

My guess is that they want to keep sandwiches strong (Like corners "will be strong for other characters") but limit his setting them up a little bit. even if 3C doesn't lead into 5k anymore, 3C always netting an air combo -> 3D oki would still be pretty mean. as far as i can tell, the whole CS2 idea is "everyone needs to work harder." of course we've always been working harder... but... yuh know. Gotta make it seem fair.
