I think his frailty will always keep him in A class, as long as S class exists. It's the thing that brings balance to his otherwise ridiculous nature. edit: Also i don't know how accurate that list is because what I've seen of platinum, i find it hard to believe she's in the bottom three. She's fast, her pressure seems good and she can crank out some really nasty damage.

This new reset in CS2 is just like his juggles in CS1 and the Clap Trap in CT. I'm pretty sure that no one, including the developers, foresaw that his moves would be able to combine to produce this specific effect. It's the same story with carl every single time.

I'm cautiously optimistic about MK9. So glad to see that those dumb-as-all-hell combo sequences are gone. -
sorry couldn't resist the urge. I've never bothered AAing the elbow because unless i'm mistaken Carl can just block and punish it with 5B.

I'd say it probably takes 55-65%, and it resets... 2? 3? times into combo > Super finishers? even if we cant use it to full-life them like it does in this particular instance we can probably get off at least 1 reset -> combo and if it's mid match probably a super finisher so it's ... what... 2ish-k reset 4k? still pretty damn vicious. Edit: Started at ~60% left her with nothing, used 1 Fuoco and 1 6D in block string, 2D to start the combo, Resets twice, so each reset that way uses i want to say roughly 20% of your meter, Each reset -> combo -> loop reset does 2.8k so roughly 3k damage, Air combo into fermata = 3.7k. So 1 KD Combo (what i call an air combo with j.c into 3d) ->Reset -> Air combo -> fermata = 6.5k for 20-30% nirvana meter (keeping a range because i really cant say whats exact, i'm just eyeballing it.) Ladies and gentlemen that's pretty damn Skippy.

might also be useful to be able to jump cancel from j.C in ground pressure for cross ups.

going out on a limb when i say this but i'd cal carl's j.a the most broken j.a in the game if only because it leads to unblockable set ups. -
so far i've only seen j.b loop picked up form Knock downs into 3D, i kinda wonder if it can be picked up from ground loop into a reset -> 5B 6B j.B j.2C blah blah, like the current jump loops can be picked up. I realize it's kinda less interesting but i kinda dont mind it too much when compared to the character specific lists we have now. Since i can't really do the Ragna j.2C allecan loops.

doesnt seem to me like he gets anything new for rapids. probably still some use for the reasons we have now. Curious: Did we lose the j.c - j.b reverse Gatling? i know j.b j.a still exists.

carl standing in the way made her hit box push him. that's really funny. Also makes me wonder if you could use that as a set-up and instead of flying to the corner with her just 5C-> Air combo back into nirvanna.

I'm glad you have no match up experience kona because if memory serves Carl v. Mu is 7-3 in mu's favor... So as soon as you learn how to deal with me i'll be hating my life. -
I would not call that DP safe. That was good bait and punish. if he hadn't planned that reset and blocked he would have eaten that. Furthermore if ragna had not DP'd that would have gone back into blockable pressure, so it's really neither of those things. However that still was pretty sexy mix up and reset. It seems like we're discovering that Carl really does have some chutzpah. just, as was from the jump of CT -> CS, completely different from what we're used to.

So i did something fun today~ near corner: Blah blah Blah Rhapsody of memories -> mix up reset blah blah Final hit launches -> NC O |Corner 5C Cantata, they tech, 8D into end of cantata, 2D j.2C allegretto late 8D for tech trap. I felt so crafty.... [/self gratification] Just kinda fun that u can get an easy UB reset that leads into a tech trap like that <3 needs like 80 heat at start but whatevs~ -
I'm just wondering if on a planned Air GUard break we have enough time to either hop or Vivace under the opponent and air combo them back into set ups. As for the knock-back you mentioned Akiro, you could probably avoid that problem by just using this set up when you are close enough to the corner to wall bind. Makes it less awesome but still has it's uses.

Brio also breaks primers so it might have merits after an opponent bursts. Just have to be ready to find a way to foloow up the stupid wall bounce from break. On that note, when you get the wall bounce from air guard crush, do they fly backwards or forwards? would be neat if you could follow up with the old cross-under 5.c j.b blahblahblah
