  2. Oh so there' additional proration for repeated moves in a loop? I didn't realize that :O that makes sense then.
  3. maybe the volante does something with positioning, because when i 2d loop i've noticed that the spacing starts to get really weird really fast. Or maybe it's the hight since Volante does seem to appear faster than the swing-down of 2D and Nirvana doe seem to recover from it fairly quickly. And yeah combo into gold burst = epic style points.
  4. Keep in mind Taokaka also has Carl's 9500 HP in CS apparently. Still, yes that's just obscene. Does Volante Reverse Prorate in combos or something?

  7. Somethign i think we could use, especialy for those of us who are some times input-challenged: A basic break down of where to release ]D[ in certain BnB scenarios like j.2C j.B j.214C 8D etc.
  8. when you tap the button it is pressed and released so just tapping without holding is the same as a release as far as the game is concerned.

  10. How fast does nirvana recover from 3C? It's terribly slow if i remember right is it not? Still, with the little 3C double vivace:a trick, what about instead of 5A or j2.c, 6A -> Air combo? is there enough time for nirvana to recover and set up an 8D to continue into air BnB? Because unless they jump up and barrier block they will have to eat 6A and even if they block 6A you still get air pressure correct? the idea really is dependent on 3C recovery tho otherwise you just end up tossing them away from you and it's not really much of a great reset.
  11. I think it's less "always finishing" and he's just discovered that 2 hit clap + 50% heat = Fermata which is carl's highest damage super, so if you have 50% heat and ur clap hits twice, why not? I think the trick here is to find what elevation/distance/timing you need to ensure your clap hits twice so that you can guarantee the Fermata for big damage if u need it. Looks like it could be character specific, but hitting the back of the clap seems to do it.

If i'm to believe what i have been told, the Console release will feature a compatibility for periodic updates and rebalancing, and may also come with some balances based off the arcade versions (ie Rachel being less horrible.) There is always a chance Tao will become less boring over the life span of CS. Back to topic: Since these combos will leave nirvana fairly dead, would it be unwise to end them with something like an allegretto to launch them far away, allowing a little more time for nirvanna to recover?

  20. totaly unrelated to current DP talk Remember the not-un-blockable Con Anima Sandwich mix up? I was thinking about it, and while it's pretty apparent what to do if the throw break, shouldn't there be some conceivable way to take advantage of the throw follow up? I messed with it in CT and there is enough time to switch sides via vivace, jump up and combo them in the air briefly. trouble is even if u delay it out long enough, j.b j.b j.236c hits them over nirvana. I was wondering, is there an air combo follow up that is long enough for nirvana to recover and low enough to slap them into another 8D? Maybe something to the effect of j.2c, j.b, j.c and.. does j.c combo into allegretto? I just feel like there should be some way to take them not teching the throw and work it into, at the very least, some oki shenanigans.

  23. it's significantly more irritating online where it is difficult to block on reaction... Sucks for those of us with no local arcade .. or local anything really.
