  1. Cool.. You plan to go to any of Brent's sessions at his place (Tuesdays / Thursdays) after you're on winter break from classes? Maybe we can meet there sometime.
  2. Anyone wanna get up some offline BB or P4U some time soon? I really wanna play some matches. It's been forever since I got a chance to play you guys in anything.
  3. oh I didn't know it doesn't hit twice on block at all. I'm guessing that applies to the other versions (A/C) as well... And yeah Romey, I think once the game is out for a while there will be new things that make up for her lost oki.
  4. Does 63214D, B not hit twice anymore? I know the A/C versions do, but I saw a video a couple days ago where the B version didn't. Maybe it was out of range for the second hit, but it didn't seem that way from the video. Also, anyone know if 4B Anti-air works like a standard 6A anti-air / invulnerable to jump ins.
  5. Yeah, I think stargazer or someone else said that 214A-C-D is plus on block. Not sure about 214A-D.... And j2C was pretty bad in Extend (dunno how it compared to previous games though). As for starting a combo off CH projectile.... in Extend I know you can just run up and 5CC into whatever, or use 214A-C-delay-B, into whatever. But that's in a previous version of course, so it might not work in CP. Though tbh, You probably know more about this game than we do. You can actually play it. :v she does. 3C is actually a sweep kick and j2C she attacks with her tail. :P But yeah, another kick/tail attack would be nice.
  6. Makoto isn't exactly a complex character. So unless they make her completely garbage, there's a good chance she's gonna be easier to play than most characters obviously. But I don't think it's to the extent of braindead... You're still going to have to work in specific matchups.

  9. Yeah. Watching the same thing.... Or at least was until my session timed out. I like what I saw. I'm actually pretty excited about Makoto now.
  10. Definitely. For me, it's one of the main reasons I have certain games that I only play offline / and certain ones that I only play offline. Usually, the best experience is going to be when something is on the line / when people have to sacrifice $$ to play (gas money to attend offline casuals for example). Otherwise, you'll probably run into a lot people (especially online) who don't care that much, aren't helpful, or want to test out things that they normally wouldn't try in a tournament match. So in turn I guess you could call that a bad experience if you are trying to learn from that environment. Another bad experience of course is inconsistencies online, with connections and whatnot. Plus, it's hard to get proper feedback as opposed to talking to someone face to face.
  11. I don't believe it is default. Arcade operators can change it. Most likely set on best out of 5 so people can learn / get adjusted to a new game.
  12. Yeah he was definitely new. You'd still get better info from watching the loktest videos. @stargazer - The stream was okay considering there's not much footage to go around yet. The majority of the stream was either Ragna or Bullet playing against the cpu and testing out their move properties and such... The only versus sets that I can remember are Bullet vs Makoto and Bullet vs Relius. Unfortunately, it looks like her dash speed is still slow like in the loktests.

  15. You could try using 3C whenever you know she'll use a D attack (the early-mid part goes under 5D). And super jump might help since it is possible to avoid her 6D depending on when she attacks or where you jump. When she jumps at long range, there's a good chance she could use j2D (since it's the only aerial move besides jD that's going to hit you at long range anyway), so it might not be a good idea to dash in 6A unless you know you can get in before the drive attack hits.. Not to mention, there is a dead-zone for all of Lambda's drive attacks, so you can sometimes hit her even if her drive attack is out. For her blockstrings... If she uses a jc'able move at a distance, look out for tkj214D mixup (2C and 6B is pretty common). I think her offense comes to halt once you block her tk214D... unless RC'd. Also be ready to tech grabs / block low when she's using the 236 mixups.
  16. Was good meeting everyone at the tournament last night. Definitely had a good time. Hope to see you guys in future events. Also lol at there actually being 2 setups for AH3 for a while at the venue. :P
  17. Yeah I'm not sure what it is.... Looks like 623E with the Love Super activating above it. :V Would be cool if they actually added extend force attacks though (besides Blaze attacks).

  20. You can set up Titanomachia, but afaik you can't actually combo into the actual super itself off GC starter (unless you use OMB, then you can do whatever). But even with OMB, the proration and hitstun is so bad, the best you could really do is OMB > raw Titanomachia super. If you try to combo into 5C > Titan your opponent will tech before the Tiatanomachia super (the ender I mean) hits. But yeah, GC's into 2C have been used for a while now. :x

  24. If every one of her gatlings were air-tight, then I could agree with you.... but I don't think he meant that every single gatling should be air-tight. Just a simple 5AA would be fine.
