  1. Yeah, goodluck with that. Maybe if you say 'Vanguard Princess', 'EFZ', 'jail bait', or 'Ritas' they'll come out of their cave.
  2. Ghaleon, what are the caps on the venue and tournament?
  3. S tier in this game are characters that put you in really terrible situations while rushing you down I'd even put Hakumen over Ragna tbh. EDIT: LK posting
  4. More rooms were just added under the special rate. Grab them up people!!!
  5. Makoto is allowed. No unlimited characters. Edit: Anyone trying to book rooms right now, they're all out of the special rate. BigE is going to get us more rooms tomorrow. http://www.starwoodmeeting.com/StarGroupsWeb/booking/reservation?id=1006186380&key=8D26F Use this link to book your room.
  6. Why has tonamento become a standard? I've only ever heard bad things about it. If the internet at the venue is slow or craps out doesn't it pretty much become useless?
  7. Wow, I totally missed the fact that this was a 3 day event. Stay free me. Just make sure you have enough setups and everything should work.
  8. Singles is easier to run, but teams is FAR more hype. Ghaleon, what would be running alongside GG? Also, if you want to run a BB tournament but you're worried about time, you could make a capped bracket (64 players or something) and make sign-ups start toward the end of GG teams on Saturday. A small capped player tourney is better than none at all.
  9. You're an idiot.
  10. Damn that Jin needs to learn to hold back. First one was too early, and I'm not even sure if the 5D would've connected because of how long the combo was. (Just tried it, couldn't get it to work...) Note: If it gets that far into the combo just go 2DD > Air Ender. Second one he bursts :< (but it would've connected). The only tricks to relaunch 5DD is doing the TK as early as you can and being somewhat close to them as their falling (while at the same time not having too many hits in the combo... duh).
  11. Try using it after catching them blocking in the air: 2DD > 6DD > 236A. They might be a little more hesitant to push a button like that when they're in the air and you're right in front of them on the ground. Also, if they try pushing a button too close to the ground, their normal won't come out and they'll be stuck in landing recovery... which leads you to whatever you want pretty much. Keep track of their air options and use it accordingly: if they use their double jump or air dash they can only fall straight down. Also, if they're really close to the ground you might want to be a little more hesitant to use this trick because they'll land and recovery before your 236A does. To anyone complaining about 5D CH's never happening... you're an idiot. It's a risk to press 5D, but it's also a risk to press 2D and 6D as well. Guessing doesn't always work, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't exercise all your options when zoning (from becoming too flow chart). Some matchups will be easier to play than others in this respect.
  12. If Pozer quits just because he didn't win a qualifier... like damn. I doubt anyone would do that though. I'll believe it when I see it. He was damn good.
  13. Thanks again for doing this fubar. What you do for the scene is awesome.
  14. We'll see about MM's if I actually go to this. Still too far off to tell. They need to add BBCS after last years showing for BB.
  15. Doren, you can actually win against Eddie now? News to me.
  16. Both gravity well and 6A are pretty bad because he can dodge whatever you stick out with a button press. You're better off with IB'ing his chain then following up with 5A (just to get him off you). If you get a 5A CH you can follow up into 6A > 6C > ZweiC. His zoning and rush down is better than yours, not to mention his chains just guard-point your D normals. This match-up isn't in your favor, so just learn it to the best of your ability. At mid/far screen you have to space yourself well to the point where you can react to his movement (or button presses) with your D normals. Up close he can pretty much walk all over you. Once your friend is good enough, you won't be doing any oki or mixup... ever. tl;dr: space yourself well and use 5A as a safe anti-air. Use 6A and pit against his chains sparingly. IB his chains. Edit: Just thought I'd elaborate a bit more on pit and 6A against Hazama 'going in'. Hazama's chains have different hit-stun and block-stun depending on how far away he is when it hits you. The farther away he is, the more stun it will put on you. Only try to AA him with 6A and pit if you know he's going to land in front of you and if you know you'll be out of block-stun by the time he pulls himself in. tl;dr: the closer Hazama is to you when he puts you in block-stun with a chain, the faster you'll recover from being in block-stun, increasing your options to anti-air properly (or allowing you to jump out of his mix-up).
  17. No one else found this hilarious? Keep dreaming doren2e. Comeeeee toooooooo thiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssss!!!!
  18. Change the topic title Tinshi.
  19. Team St1ckBuG will not fund any gatherings in New York. That's not in your contracts.
  20. I know I'm popular... but damn. And this qual is damn free for Jersey. You know what I'm sayin' ZONG? I'm going to this qualifier, even though I'm not going. See you all there. Taking all MM's by the way... but don't be surprised if I just dodgemonkey you the whole time, cause I don't even play this game.
