Speaking as a veteran member of the SF scene I can attest to this; I have personally seen (and faced) Mr. Wong's Potemkin in a tournament and let me tell you: the man knew his shit. My long-term FG experience is Street Fighter, and I find that a lot of what I learned over the years comes into play in GG, just not in the same vein. SF builds the groundwork on a general level, and I find that coming to GG with said groundwork can prove productive when used appropriately.

Casshern and Ken the Eagle for me, who will be subbed by Jun and Joe the Condor when I unlock him. Haven't played any of the Capcom cast yet; my purchase of this game was based of my absolute love for any and all things Tatsunoko. Not that I don't like the Capcom cast; on the contrary (lol). I just need to let my inner fanboy have his fun before I deal with Ryu and co.

No GG at EVO. Not surprising, but I'm still a little disappointed. Maybe it'll be run as a side tournament?

Can't describe how pumped I am for this game. I've been watching Tatsunoko anime before I was even aware what "anime" was; combined that with my love for fighting games in general and you basically have my dream-come-true fighter. My approach to this game is going to be the same as it is for Brawl: emphasis on FUN. I don't give a shit about broken mechanics, tiers, or basically anything I care about in my "serious" fighting games. This game is the new Brawl for me.

BLEED stopped playing GG? That's such a shame. Especially since I've seen recent vids of him playing Litchi in Trashblue. BLEED, I am disappoint.

Indeed. Satou was on fire in this one. He's doing things I've never even seen BLEED do, but it frickin' works. Lots of improvised combos, unblockable setups, frame traps. And lol 5P as AA on Ky. Looking at the new things he's doing is giving me ideas; I hope he gets recorded a lot this year.

Anyone have a list of who's who in these vids? Only recognized Hase (SL) and RF (FA).

I really see where 4r5 is coming from with all this, especially against ABA. In my own game I'm trying to make getting KD after combos a priority, because landing that big impressive long combo sometimes really means having to start from scratch, and I end up working doubly hard for that second coin into combo. Perhaps a solution lies in nailing the 6FRC6 KJ combos off of midscreen low MFL2? Or maybe that's character specific?

It's been a solid four or so months since I've been recorded and I think I've made some improvements. I'm still making some stupid moves and breaking some of my bad habits is easier said than done. Firstly, Happy New Year fellow JOs! Let's all make 2010 MARVELOUS DA ZE! My corner enkasu training has been paying off as of late, and I thought I'd add a corner enkasu to the list on the 1st page that I have confirmed works: Combo: Throw->j.P->j.S->j.D->Enkasu Position: Corner Damage: 64 Tension: 0 Notes: Works on CH. The link timing is very similar to how you'd approach SL in the corner, which is extremely helpful to note. Because of CH's weight though you might want to add slight delay between j.S->j.D. Sorry if this is old news already though but I want to help solidify some of the corner enkasu setups on the cast now that I can actually do them

I can tell you that this method will work, as BB definitely has a sound test section. You can find it under the Options menu.

I'm all for casuals, but bi-weeklies in LI might be a little rough on me. As it turns out I was at the Play N Trade in Manhattan today, and in talking with phyre he seemed very interested in having casuals/tournaments for any fighting game, so of course I suggested GG. We should follow up with him on this; nice location, easy access to trains and it's NYC. If we get a lot of people to show up I think this could become something significant for the community.

I wish...I could go to this...better luck next year I guess. Will be looking at the streams, especially for GG.
