  1. OK I get it now, thanks 10stars as always. I'll get started on these enkasu setups now, using macros as I can't really invest in a stick right now. I just thought of something; back when I was interested in learning I-no on pad (a hopeless endeavor I know) I learned about 6FRC6 which is how she is about to IAD out of her Chemical Love FRC. Does Johnny use this method for the KJ enkasu setups as well?
  2. Wow really? So I guess I have to manually FRC KJ if I want to accomplish those enkasu setups from midscreen?
  3. Great stuff here Nattak. I was wondering if you're still continuing this project on the rest of the cast? Also, I'm having a hell of a time getting that AD after the KJFRC in those midscreen enkasu combos. Does it matter that I'm mapping P+K+S to L1? I've heard that there's a delay when you set marcos as opposed to manually FRCing (which is a pain in the ass on pad already).
  4. Thanks A3 I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Another gimmick I've been trying is working JI KJ FRC into my pressure strings. On paper it seems fine but in application I tend to get thrown after I recover from the FRC. I usually do 5K-JI-5HS-KJT-KJFRC. Is there something missing? Or should I not even bother with pressuring with Jump Install KJ?
  5. Things sure have been dead around here. Allow me to try and liven things up a bit. Despite indulging in BB these days I continually strive for improvement with Johnny. I think I've made some progress so now I'm starting to think about aspects of JO play I haven't before. For instance; I've been fooling around with impossible dust combos in training mode lately, but before I decide to invest in any combos my question is: are they worth it? I understand that JO's terrible dust is terrible but it catches my opponents off guard every now and then because it's such a rare occurrence. What I'm liking about them is that I can get semi-decent damage off a successful mixup for 25% to no tension. Thoughts?
  6. Out of curiosity, what JO players are you fighting against that makes this matchup so bad for I-no? I may not be that great a JO but the few I-nos I've fought certainly have no problem making me eat mixups into long ass combos all day. I have noticed though, that out of those few I-nos I've fought, I never lost a match to them, only a round here and there.
  7. I have to agree with OP and Zem; the last few online fights I've had with the boobie lady have proved awful for me. I tell you nothing licks balls worse than being perfected in a round online by a Nu that's only one level higher than you are. Offline in training mode I can pull off her bnbs pretty well, and her higher level combos are coming along slowly but surely. Online though, my rushdown is sluggish, the goddamn DP doesn't activate when I want and I get punished for free. Hopefully when I take in some offline matches I'll see the fruits of my labor but I do wish something would be done about this input lag.

    is dizzy alive?

    Do want. Please link.
  9. Ok, what about this one? It's a little over a year old. First match, the JO player is Jonio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4s_QJnwKfw&feature=PlayList&p=94149C268ABFEDAB&index=80
  10. My mistake; meant to say hatsu. Chunn really is a bad poke w/o RC.
  11. Now that you mention this 4r5 I've been having trouble landing this on the lightweights, especially May (ugh). Does this work on them or do some adjustments need to be made?
  12. With staff = tsubami gaishi (DP motion with D button) Without = Not sure yet, but I tend to use Barrier to create space, then poke with 5C or chunn.
  13. From the few fights I've had with him, I've realized that you really don't wanna rush this guy down; Litchi has a lot of holes in her pressure that can be easily autoguarded by him that will lead to a world of hurt. My success so far has been zoning with staffless D; and carefully applying safe pokes while he's too busy watching the staff fly around. Bait the autoguard, throw, combo, zone, mixup, dead. Easier said than done if the Haku player is aware of all of LI's mixup options. It's a hard match, but not impossible.
  14. Well I don't know that much about #Reload Johnny "easy" combos...but his big damage ones involve some complicated techniques such as Jump Install. My advice to you is to read up on the techniques covered in the General GG thread then come back, because chances are you won't understand the lingo involved with doing Johnny's combos (which are especially hard if you're playing him for the first time).
  15. Quick question; when doing 3C IAD JC into air combo; how does one do the JC right after the IAD? I'm having trouble nailing that.
  16. Haha yeah I know, guess the NY cats have been MIA for a minute. Come on guys it's summer, someone hold a gathering somewhere already!
  17. Haha I'll try my best. I'll be sure to upload some new fights soon!

  18. Really? That's interesting, and it shows in those videos where N-O was just completely helpless against Tsukji's mixup rushdown into combo into death. Definitely one of the most enjoyable Slayer's to watch; it'll be interesting to see how he does in SBO.
  19. I've never been one for tier lists either. After starting with Ky back in GGXX, I grew bored with him towards the end of the #Reload era, then I was inspired by a mirror JO match I saw between two friends in college. I'd also been a huge fan of the Iaido style in games way back when with Ukyo in Samurai Showdown and Ibiki in Last Blade/CvS2. So Johnny was a perfect fit. I may not be a great JO player compared to some of you guys here, heck I may not even be a great player, period. But I love the underdog, and you can't be more underdog that ol' Johnny. At my most recent tournament vs a Slayer, not one person was rooting for him. That alone is reason enough for me to continue playing him, because we are so few and far between. And the hype that comes with defeating top tiers, well, you can't beat that. Plus, he's voiced by Japan's most epic voice, Norio Wakamoto. Do I really need to go on here? lol
  20. Kinda makes you wonder why we, and other Johnny players still play him huh? I've never been one for tier lists. I play who I like, and I like Johnny. I may not win a lot, but when I do, you damn well know I feel pretty badass doing it, and I'm sure it's the same for all you other JOs as well.
  21. Great stuff 10stars, definitely gonna dwell on these little gimmicks.
  22. For lows, use her 2K and 2P they are decent poking tools. Her 2D is also good but not safe so use sparingly.

  23. @ Mitsurugi's stick: DO WANT. That stick is quite manly.
  24. Hey there; the term "tiger knee" means to input a move normally done airborne as close to the ground as possible. For Dizzy, she can tiger knee her bubbles. It basically means you have to press Up or Diagonal Up Back in order for her to summon the bubble as close to the ground as possible.

  25. Wow, just wow. Phenomenal video Raven.
