  1. I stand corrected, bursts are supposed to have recovery until landing if they burst in the air, so it is made to be escapable in this case.
  2. This is a question I'm sure will float in the minds of a lot of people for a while, but the simple fact is right now no one knows. Even Japanese match videos show people getting baiting for out dated muscle memory still. Combos are also early drafts, and some nuances of changes are yet to be discovered. Even if you can objectively look at Tager's stats and say "Yeah that's not bad" it is meaningless if everyone else is much better.
  3. It indeed has been possible to punish that burst with a collider, and yes it is inescapable. For a while you could just hold it and get the collider, then some properties were changed and then the collider didn't last long enough, then I think our magnets got nerfed and it got wonky. The magnets here look a bit kinder, but she also bursted kinda late. It seemed to fling her to the point where the throw punished would have missed if Tager wasn't in the corner, which is a bit goofy.

  5. If collider whiff is harder for you than that, you're doing it wrong O_o. They give you like a bajillion years to do collider whiff. I've literally dropped the controller mid match by accident and got the combo anyway. (I have a condition>.>) J.C >J.B is character specific. Try to follow up with 5C 6A on hakumen, or try to hit makoto with it at all, or try to hit makoto with J.Dwhiff J.2C 2B 2C for that matter. Collider whiff 6B 2C also works on more levels of proration and prorates less, so a lot of combos get more options (and sometimes heat/damage if you go for more hits before the collider) in more situations. It'll also put people back in the corner with you closer by. This makes some corner combos possible/less character specific if I'm not mistaken. If you could only use one, Acx2 6B 2C simply works in the most situations on the most characters. I can't say this is what they are doing, there's too many instances for me to be able to give you a concise and complete answer.
  6. It was always hammer. It was just reported under the move's name which is "Sledge follow up" which some people misunderstood.
  7. No one gonna mention that 3D typo? I hardly think that combo is optimal with a starter like 2D, but it kindly illustrates some new combo paths. I look forward to improvement. I also see no similarity between sledge and hammerfall. They don't do any of the same things, might as well compare it to 2D or J.C since the only thing they have in common is they move forward.
  8. For some reason I'm like the only one who doesn't get an R.Mika vibe despite wanting it so bad. The only part of her outfit it could really be is her forearm/inner elbow, in which case it looks hella beefy/thick/short and I'm not sure what to think. I guess it'd fit as other parts of her body if they made her costume less fanservicey, but sakura is still in a school girl uniform, and cammy is still cammy. But only the otherhand I can't off the top of my head name anyone else with a light blue theme with frills at the end.

  11. I still say we need to write a letter about how nerfing Tager to his own tier has no legitimate benefits but has legitimate drawbacks for the game.
  12. We has it in CS1 and CS2 had it but it got a damage nerf. almost 1800 was too much I guess.

  14. Winning isn't all it's about, man. I'd rather play CT against a a skilled Carl forever than play a guy who'll never learn that you can jump out of throws forever.
  15. Tager is indeed up in the air for once. Normallly everything thinks he's going to be really good for some reason.
  16. Right right, forgot about hammer combos. Also Asledge Links to 5B there's a difference. There's still a shortage of information and the simplest solution is that Bsledge did not get a proration buff, so until we get some sweet sweet good news, I'm not going to assume anything.
  17. Well, I heard that VC could be canceled into sledge follow up, and then they said they got 4k off VC sledge, which to me means hammer. Also they only listed it in that situation they never mentioned sledge in combos except that it's pretty much impossible to combo off bsledge on an airborn about to be grounded opponent mid combo.

  20. It's a poorly thought out idea in a couple of ways. It'd be like an unblockable slidehead oki except not as good. Only plausibly useful if the charge time was really short, which would just be silly or in weird meter intensive situations and even then not as good as unblockable slidehead except maybe against Hakumen if you had just frame timing. You'd have to make it randomly and uncharacteristically unbalanced when compared to similar tools to make it usable at all as anything other than a gimmick.
  21. Disgusting, you should talk to a doctor about that. Seriously though I can't think of a situation where I would ever use that. 5B getting a level buff could be a big deal. For me it would be a bigger deal than CS1 tager getting GF, I would have traded GF for it in a heartbeat. Tager's biggest/best changes are property changes, his new stuff usually just sucks.
  22. Probably. People were always hype for new Tager. There's too much up in the air right now for me to have anything to look forward to personally, but changes like buffing 5B could be pretty big.

  24. According to the frame data it is a 1 frame link, or rather however many buffer frames we get. It's ok to talk about junk here, it's for general Tager discussion.
  25. I do the actual J.D through rhythm. You also need to get a sense for how long it is between inputs rather than visual cues. But online will be online. It shouldn't be impossible. I haven't played in a while either though. so I don't know how confident I am with it right now, I'll probably practice it tomorrow morning.
