  1. Here it is: the BBCS2 Chin compilation! I put in all the CS2 vids I could find. If anyone knows of more, please tell me so I can update with the next compilation I make in a couple months.
  2. I made a compilation of Chin's BBCS2 matches. Godlike Hakumen. Now watchable in one easy-to-view package!
  3. Doesn't hurt to put something up. We could supply the footage and Grimm makes up the effects or something. Didn't Nini compile plenty of hype moments we could use?
  4. Really haven't put any thought into it, actually. I could have a look at it tomorrow. Best thing would be to all collectively look for converters and alert the others when we get our hands on a deal. But right now I'd dead tired so I'm off to sleep. Peace out.
  5. Lol, I don't think they'd come all the way over from Texas just for 200$ (plane ticket). We'd probably see dudes from NYC or NJ though. I don't mind that either. Bring the hype, build up the community. We have to think long-term here.
  6. Hum, Brice's got a real good reason for CS2, actually. The offset is that we're going to look extra scrubby on stream. That's not something I care about, though. If it brings more hype and CS2 comes out on time... Let's go with what brings in people.
  7. Imo, whether or not we use CS2 will depend on how long it takes to adapt. I don't think 1w is enough. Some characters like Haku have some pretty big changes to their playstyle/combos so they'll take time to re-learn. I suggest we wait until CS2 actually comes out, play with it, then see how confident everyone is with their character before deciding anything.
  8. Meter gain and average damage is worse, but close-quarter pressure is better. It's now easier to optimally break 5k and corner damage/options are more lethal. Despite this, he's still listed as bottom of B tier, though I'm not too clear on why. Maybe the rest of the cast simply has better stuff. He does have to be played smarter. Combos look a lot more fun, though. I think I'll be working on making my Haku into walking combo vid material in CS2 matches now. :]
  9. If you watch any CS2 Haku vid, make it the compilation I'm going to make on Chin this weekend. Gdlk Haku, I think he's the best one out there. I'm going to be emulating his play once CS2 hits consoles.
  10. ^ I agree. We can't know how long it will take to adjust to CS2 or if it will even come out this summer at the rate they're going with 3DS/PSP release first.
  11. My favorite CS2 Hakumen right now is Chin. Gdlk use of Haku. In fact, I'm thinking of making a compilation of his CS2 matches over the weekend for quick and easy viewing.
  12. Slayer links, links everywhere! Any post around here that displays all his links and/or how to get them down consistently? I got down 2k -> 2H fairly consistently, but not much success in doing j.H -> c.S for ex. EDIT: Never mind, it's the first post of Slayer 101. I'll still leave this post up if anyone wants to add anything useful. It's appreciated. :]
  13. Is cheating really that rampant? I know there are some really creative ideas that can pop when cheating comes in play. Still, I learned long ago the one and only tried-and-true method that will net you the best results: Maybe I don't mind it because my memory is awesome, but I don't find it needs that much work to be effective.
  14. Whoops, yeah, forgot a 2b in there. :P Though in CS2 I believe you do 2c now?
  15. Hakumen's combos operate a bit differently from the rest of the cast because of the way he uses meter. Fact is, the starter doesn't determine that much as to which combo he uses -- it's how many stars he has and what kind of advantage he wants. So it would be more useful to say which combo strings go into X combo if he has Y stars... an example: - Haku lands 5c CH. He has 3 stars. His options: 1) Basic enma combo for 3.6k. 2) -> 3c -> gurren -> hop pickup 3) [corner] -> renka -> loop 4) [close to corner] -> renka(1) -> gurren -> 5b -> loop etc., you see what I mean. The point here is that the above can also be started by just about any other move of his that isn't 6b... So there isn't much point in listing the normal as a starter. It would be best to go by star count, then list the benefits and why you would use X string. We could then add how each string is affected by a normal with better or worse proration. I think Mac originally had the idea of going by star use way back when we decided to make the CS1 combo thread. I now see the light of reason and repent. :<
  16. I think we should we start thinking about a CS2 combo thread, eh? We've got plenty of vids to gather info from so far, though stuff is still developing. I think the format should be a bit different this time around. Instead of going by normal starter, why not make a list of common combo strings and then divide those by how they are affected by normal starter? It would probably end up more efficient than simply repeating the same combo but for sevral different moves.
  17. ECT, eh? I dunno, been having problems trying to get my passport. I just got my tax forms back so I should be able to fill out the appropriate numbers they need. We'll see about that one, though it sounds hype.
  18. This man knows how to live. Well, clubs ain't for everyone. It all depends on how much you like people, loud music, and getting drunk. It's also not exactly known for mental stimulation. After a while of doing it, the lifestyle'll get to you. It's not something that's sustainable. I've been to my share of houseparties, but I'll have to admit I've only gone to a club once and it was this shitty place in a dark basement. Shame on moi. :< ----- Also, fuckin' finance teammates dump a portion of the term project on me at the last moment and I have to write it up because it's due at 9am. I also haven't studied the theory at all because I thought they'd take care of it. FML.
  19. Yeah, I know, my post was actually directed towards Eb. :P No u. And this why I, Hakumen, shall cleanse you from this world! You are Ragna, Spawn of Satan, seed of all hate. I will end you, all you love and your perversion of the Jesus Kick! Begone!
  20. What's wrong with Nini being religious? You make it sound like he had to go to jail or something, lol. Anyway, I'm in the "not religious" camp. Not in the sense of "atheist", but in the sense of "there's nothing there to even believe in the first place". Being an atheist would somehow validate the possibility of a deity of sorts by its own firm denial. No such thing. That said, religion can be a good thing if only for the social aspect. I loathe church and all it stands for, but the community values are as good as they come.
  21. Yes. I don't think it's anything more than .5 or 1 in Haku's favor, though. Carl has a hard time dealing with Haku's range, footsies and counters but he can still use and abuse his resets and mixup. He just can't autopilot.
  22. Thanks! I'll get to work on these... err... difficult-looking combos when I can. :P
  23. What the heck is Tenchi doing being so reckless? I guess that's just his style... Anyway, Haku - Carl has always been at least .5 in Haku's favor in my opinion. Haku's range and footsies are simply superior to Carl's and control a lot of his movement options. Sandwich is still a threat, but Carl can't autopilot because of counters and Haku's potentially big damage. If Haku makes Carl work to get to him, it can be a frustrating match for the Carl.
  24. Hey guys! I'd like to learn Slayer more since he seems to be my type of character. We also have a big tourney in Montreal coming up and GG is going to have a small set up all its own next to BB. So, if someone doesn't mind listing them, I'm looking for a couple easy combos that deal big damage and work on most of the cast. The level of play shouldn't be too high outside of a couple players, so these should be plenty good. Aside from these, what should I know about Slayer combo-wise? I'll get into the more serious stuff and 1f links later on when I have time for them, so I might as well get a head start here along with the easier stuff. Thanks for the help! :]
  25. LOL! Yeah, maybe, though perhaps the word here would be "poise". They can all be real chill in their corner while being zoned. Then they turn on a dime and suddenly! 80% hp combo. I like that. :P
