  1. So upon further inspection, it seems that much of this information is extremely paraphrased info from the individual weapon descriptions, is that correct? Or are you adding in your own personal opinions?
  2. You signup using the challonge link in the OP thread
  3. Hey guys - for our 10th BBCP Online tournament, we're making it special and doing a 2on2 tourney! This thread is mainly for helping people find partners - if you are interested in participating but need a partner, feel free to post your own info here and look for partners here as well! Of course other discussion etc is also more than welcome ALSO - I forgot to mention that after the 2on2 is over, we'll be doing a Large Team exhibition (kohakusen / red vs white), with NO MAX LIMIT, so it will probably end up being something silly like a 20v20, with the team captains being the winning team players (or whoever is the highest placing team interested in playing). They'll simply be picking back and forth from anyone who's present in chat when we start, so if you're interested in the post-tourney large team exhibition, just be around when the 2on2 ends! Signup / Bracket etc - http://ubw.challonge.com/bbcp_0518 Stream: http://twitch.tv/thebrett How to Sign Up: If you're new to signing up, the challonge link allows you to signup by registering on challonge and then creating a team with a friend. Once you've made your team, you can enter the bracket.. When you enter the bracket, please enter your Display Name as Team Name (Player1/Player2) for convenience! Details / Rules / Info Prize for 1st place - TBD Double Elimination, Waseda Format (2/3 For WN / LF / GF) No connection or region restriction. Start Time: 5PM PST You MUST be able to communicate via Twitch Chat to compete. Please report your own scores via Challonge, and use Twitch Chat to communicate. We'll be using a world lobby in conjunction with a spectating lobby for organization. If neither player can connect to each other after all possible options are explored, the match will be resolved with RPS.

This event could not have succeeded without your generous help, so thanks again. All the Team NorcalDogfight members for helping with basically everything: Dakanya, AJ, Tsubasa, Everyone else who helped staff, carry stuff, etc: Jinbu, BBV, Meth, Cosmic DoomBacon, Bako, Blitz, Shingin, DJ, Commentators who helped fill awkward silence: Bako, Airmaster, Lark, Dakanya, Tari, Jinbu, BBV, Shingin All the out of town participants who flew from around the world to support the scene: Calgary crew, jdg-king and his friends, East Coast, Montreal, Utah/Colorado, etc - you guys are godlike. Ogu, Sengoku, ASAGI, and all the other JP supporters for restreaming, retweeting, and helping us grow our event internationally. DJCream for putting up a note and reserving Gundam on Day 2 when I overslept - you saved the tourney \o/ Once again thank you all for your support. We'll be having HQ footage uploaded as soon as we can, and I'll be sure to inform you guys when it does happen. ================ I'm happy to announce we'll be running an 8-player setup this year! That means two concurrent matches. Day 1 will be running one Team Shuffle and one Team Free room! As always, we (Team Norcal Dogfight, Unlimited Brett Works, etc) will be continuing the tradition of running a Gundam EXVSFB side-tournament at the annual Evo 2k series. If you're unaware of what Evo is, it's the largest fighting game tournament in the world, held annually in Las Vegas. For more information, refer to the official site: http://evo.shoryuken.com/ Pre-registration Pre-reg by posting in the following format i.e. this example: Team Name: Player 1 / Player 2 - Region(s) Pre-reg isn't required at all, but it's nice to show your support so people are aware of our growing numbers. It also guarantees you guys will be on the bracket and properly seeded (by region, skill, etc), so it's a bit of insurance. If there are enough entrants, we will also separate by pool. Pre-registering guarantees you'll know which pool and what time to show up ahead of time. Lastly, if you are using a DLC suit and you pre-reg, we will ensure that suit is available for you! Don't have a partner? If you're looking for a partner, please post the following information if possible: Name (Region) - Suit Name A (Cost) / Suit Name B (Cost) / Preferred Role: We usually do partner searching on-site, but this year I'd like to be a bit more pro-active and do as much ahead of time. We'll do our best to try and suggest players of compatible suits etc. Details Entry: $10 per team Format: Double Elimination, Matches are 2/3, with Winners, Losers, and Finals being 3/5 Pot Split: 70/20/10 (per team) Seeding: Yes. Map: Side 7 lock DLC: All free DLC unlocked, paid DLC suits playable if someone has pre-regged with it. Character / Burst lock: On win only Time Out: In the case of a time-out, a rematch occurs. 5. Alright, all three teams have been decided for the upcoming 4 on 6: Norcal: WhiteDevil / Brett Socal: AcidAce / GMcustom Online: jdg-king / keith_zih
  6. I think you're just failing to read the sentence correctly, unless this isn't the sentence you're talking about: "The main weakness of this technique is that if you already are backturned when you do this, you'll have no choice but to cancel it into a boost dash - by this point its a lot of boost so you may be at a boost disadvantage." Too lazy to explain the semantics of english atm though. If they're at least one character height or more above the ground, you can do a fastest possible sidestep to connect this. I'd test it in training mode (on a grounded opponent) because I forgot what his 6BBB string looks like.
  7. Quick comment on Delta: The description for his AC makes it sound like you can amekyan it off angle, I believe you mean to say it works off-angle if you are at zero ammo for the main (reloading). It's also worth explaining that to link the BC > BC > BC~AB combo, you need to actually input BC~B for each rep but then rainbowstep before the B followup actually connects thanks for all your hard work again
  8. WingTV: CSb doesn't cut guidance during melees, you take 1.5 damage if hit during it
  9. we're actually working on getting a wiki section since there are enough people publicly known to be working on translating this stuff (I'm pretty sure there are even more people that just haven't said anything publicly about it). So be aware in the future we'll be moving all this info onto the DL wiki. Edit: Also some corrections for GX-Divider: 1) His brake cancel for Sub should be more clarified - the way it's written makes it sound like its only usable if empty. As I posted in the cancels list document, there are varying speeds of his brake cancels, which are practically half of his moves technically 2) BC is not his best long range option.
  10. 8bc is fine for going in. Even without using the bd cancel mightfo mentioned, using it to engage or go in is good. It's very common to do something like boosthop BR -> Sub -> 8BC > AC -> A to go in (step cancelling 8BC into amekyan)
  11. Is there a link to the patch notes? Trying to look for the source of all these translations...
  12. Personally, I've been using a BMIS for around 3 years and haven't had much of an issue, pretty satisfied. Some of the AverMedia cards are pretty legit I hear but I forget which models :P
  13. If you fire one, boost dash cancel, then actually FIRE the second BR after confirming the first one hit, it's possible to confirm. Much easier depending on the distance etc. At the very least as the first BR is airborne you can generally figure out whether the trajectory is good or not, and then act off of that judgement call. Confirming the BR actually hit then BD cancelling and BR'ing at that point is not as feasible due to startup etc - often times it wont combo once taking into account your reaction time.
  14. The date of the exhibition matches has been decided! April 22nd @ 9PM PST! On a random note one of the players confirmed on the JP side is Kirin, the #1 CP Spiegel player in Japan and also one of the best Red Frames in EXVS, as well as the man who invented all the original Red Frame Final Cutter combos! Kirin's Community: http://com.nicovideo.jp/community/co44643 As a separate event, We'll also be doing some casuals with Sengoku's stream live from Norcal's local GameCenter arcade this coming Friday on my stream @ 8PM PST! If you're in the Northern California area be sure to show up!
  15. Imo: Defensive suits: V2, Hi-nu, Strike Freedom, Ex-S Neutral: Nu, Xi, DX, Sazabi, WZC, Reborns Offensive: WingTV, Unicorn, Quanta, Turn A, Turn-X, Master, 00, FC, Destiny, Epyon
  16. "(横)Nからドムへの繋ぎは 最速左ステ で安定。" The most consistent way to combo 6BB (1st hit whiff) into Dom is with a fastest possible left rainbowstep.
  17. Edit: Our third event will be taking places this coming Monday, the 28th. We will be re-streaming his stream onto our stream (twitch.tv/thebrett) and be doing numerous things: 1) Answering any questions people would like to ask of the Japanese Gundam community 2) Sengoku will take suit requests, so if there's something you'd like to see, mention it in the chat! (Sengoku can use almost every suit well) 3) We'll be translating his commentary and communicate with him directly via Skype. Feel free to post any questions you'd like answered in this thread if you happen to not be able to make it on the day of. ==== Hey guys - for those of you who don't know who Sengoku is, he's an active Gundam Extreme VS tournament organizer and player, most known for being the man behind the Sengoku Cup - a Shuffle Tournament Series that many of you have probably watched if you were looking for early EXVSFB footage. In addition, he runs a large streaming community on nico for the game, as well as contributes with his own Cram School event for replay review and critique. He and I have decided to collaborate together to run an exhibition series between US and Japanese players. We will be simultaneously streaming a 4on6 set of online matches between Japan and the US on April 22nd @ 9PM PST. That is to say, Two Japanese teams and three American teams. Due to the limitations of connectivity, this event is exclusively for the West Coast. Of the three American teams, the local Northern and Southern California communities will each nominate a team for this event. The third team will be chosen via a free entry Qualifying Tournament held online. The tentative date for this qualifying tournament is Saturday, April 19th, with the actual 4on6 event happening the following Tuesday, the 22nd.). The rules and details of the tournament, as well as the place to signup, can be found here: http://ubw.challonge.com/SengokuXUBWQuals - Please be aware of the rules before entering (must be present in stream chat, etc). If you wish to participate but don't have a partner, please feel free to post in this thread! The winner of the qualifying tournament will be the third participating team in this exhibition series. In the case that a team cannot participate, the second place team will be chosen instead, etc etc. If you're interested in an actual formal interaction between the US and JP communities for EXVSFB, this is definitely an event to look out for! Sengoku's Nico Community: http://com.nicovideo.jp/community/co1376243 My Twitch Stream: http://twitch.tv/thebrett
  18. -Fires two waves of 3. -The second wave muzzle correction re-corrects (再度) even in green lock -The A followup during melees restores ammo
  19. Update: -Added more details to Nyuukon, CSa, Sub, and TRANS-AM.
  20. The proper translation for the neutral start com is "Let's take it easy and have some fun" :P
