  1. Even more than that: -No good approach or mobility tools -Magnetism doesn't even remotely fill that gap I can't help but feel like that's his basic problem, more than anything else. It's pathetic that he can't pull vulnerable opponents who are on the ground and magnetized just because they happen to be in the middle of certain moves. They fucked up his gimmick and they're never going to fix it. Didn't somebody say that Bullet's drive used to be a prototype for Tager's drive? You don't see her wacky-ring failing because some old fart decided to turn into a flying dog. Ugh. Also, didn't Potemkin become a solid character at the same time as he got Hammer Fall Break, giving him a decent command dash-y option? While he'd still have the issue of not being able to pull opponents at certain times, I do think it'd be nice if Tager had a move where he could cancel his pull. Like, 6A or something. Of course he'd also have to get mag first... augh he's just too terrible.
  2. Oh, you can cancel him out of it after absorbing a shot? Wow that is nice. Tager is looking more and more like a sub these days... Yeah that's kinda what I had in mind. Or the entirety of Tempest Daliah. COME AT ME... uh, sis.
  3. Do we have a sense of how many hits or how much damage growler field can take? Can he survive projectile supers?
  4. That infinite looks very... buggy. I think that'll just get patched out, probably.
  5. It doesn't even look cool, lol.
  6. I'm... I'm just gonna wait for the game to come out here. Heck, I only really care about what happens in actual story mode anyway.
  7. Oh. Yeah, lifelinks are complete bullshit of the highest order. Unlike the rest of the crap in the story there's not even a SEMBLANCE of an explanation of them. They're just there suddenly, for no reason.
  8. Honestly, I think the most badass and respectable thing that Bang has done so far is run from Terumi, saving... Tao and Carl in the process I think? That was legit cool of him. And funny how it even surprised Terumi. Oh and he acts more reasonably toward Jin now too, which is nice. About all that Observer shit: I thought "The Eye" was something special, beyond just an observer. An observer is just somebody who helps some other poor "boundary-afflicted" bastard not collapse into a fine mist. The Eye, on the other hand, is a particularly important entity that can flat-out determine the "true" course of events, out of all the overall probabilities. Basically, an observer for the whole world. Pretty sure Noel is The Eye. Also yeah it'd be nice if they'd just sit down and explain this shit at one point, instead of the characters just going on about it like we should know already. Or talking as cryptically as possible. It really kinda kills the drama when it seems like something important is happening, but you don't entirely know what or why. The scene that always comes to mind is at the end of CT, where Hazama is all like "LOOK AT ME!" at Noel. Cuz apparently he needed her special Eye power to confirm himself into existence more properly, or something. And it's triggered when she even so much as looks at something. That scene would have probably been really cool and dramatic if I knew ANY FUCKING THING ABOUT ANY OF THOSE PLOT POINTS AT THAT TIME. Which I didn't. And I don't think it was my fault. Conceptually, BB has a pretty cool story I think. It's execution and narrative, on the other hand...
  9. Oh, well that works too I guess. Which means some Lambda experiences may still be lingering within Nu.
  10. Well, that's sorta the idea. I'm interested in her not just being a lunatic villain until the bitter end. She feels like she has potential to be sympathetic.
  11. Oh man, yeah. What if Lambda is dormant in Ragna or something. Then Nu tries to do her hug.exe shit and suddenly the Lambda soulstuff jumps to Nu. Freakouts and character development proceed from there.
  12. This shit makes me rock hard. It's like being a grappler, but weakpoint bullshit instead of the constant threat of powerful throws. "He wants to land that other WP so I gotta defend from those attacks but then he might go for the opposite attacks just to fuck with me and oh shit he got both WPs if he touches me I'm dead OH GOD HE'S BEHIND ME AAAUGH" ::head explodes:: As a Tager player, I honestly feel like Azrael is a more logical character to jump to than Bullet, since she just seems to have typical high/low mixup. Also he fills the manliness quota nicely.
  13. I can't help but feel like there's some persistence between Nu and Lambda. Despite her "dying" at the end of CS, it just feels like she's still around. Perhaps another way to look about it: Lambda WAS Nu. It's just that Kokonoe kept her mind so fucked that her wacky personality was buried deep and didn't really surface until the very end. So if Nu is now still... well, Nu, then that probably means its still the same soul. I guess. I have no idea how that soul was retrieved and placed in Nu's body though.
  14. Okay so Nu is an obnoxious insane bitch, but... ... awwwwww. That is SO FUCKING CUTE. Part of me is kinda hoping for some kind of turn-around from her. It sounds like she's going to start off as whacked-out as she was in CT, but I wonder if maybe she'll even out a bit. Still be wacky, but not as murderous. Maybe even pull a heel face turn? I wonder if Lambda is still lingering in her somewhere. That could affect things.
  15. Yeah me too. He kinda dialed it back in CS, which was unsatisfying. If he's saying crazy shit about sending people to hell though, I think I'll be satisfied. Between that shit and his new theme I get this feeling that Tager has entered srs bsns mode. Which is kinda weird considering the fact that last we ended he was hanging out with Noel and Makoto. You'd think they'd keep him positive.
  16. I don't really care much for her, but holy CRAP that is adorable.
  17. Well, I think he was specifically suggesting punishing things that don't actually put up an attack box, judging by his list there. Whether it's perfect or not.
  18. So basically... full screen punishes when they so much as flinch? What's the startup on it like, outside of super freeze? I never really looked that closely. I noticed Azrael often sitting on a lot of meter, not doing much with it. Seems like a good use for it.
  19. Well, whatever happened, it certainly seems to often not require tight links late in combos. Yet the combos still end after not too long. Maybe some attacks DO increase/decrease the total allotted combo time, even if they don't increase/decrease untech time. Meanwhile: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14675-BBCP-System-Changes-Movelist-Translations-and-Loketest-Information-Anything-Else-INFRACTION&p=1423915&viewfull=1#post1423915 Jump in j5B/5C > grand punish makes grand punish crossup? maybe we can make it ambiguous... 4.5k damage off of a raw 2C with no meter or mag? Ouch. 6C fatal counters. 6A maybe fatal counters? Weird stuff here.
  20. Geeze man, it's not that bad. It's not like combos weren't basically determined by the first hit anyway, before. Honestly I think this is better since you don't have to sit there and wonder whether or not two moves will link or not just because its later in the combo. And it certainly prevents infinites and/or absurdly long combos.
  21. Makoto is Zessica, I know that much. Though I know the character and not the show she's actually from. Which might tell you something.
  22. Uh... one of them developed telekenisis and the other throw-rejected it? Haha. I have no idea. I did just see a throw reject, right?
  23. Yeah, I actually barely get a lot of these anime references. I can catch the obvious ones, like Ragna's Ichigo palette. Most of them elude me though. Anybody got a list?
  24. Are any of the others references, besides Johnny and Kamina?
  25. Welcome to the new combo system. There is no "that late in the combo" anymore, since the only thing that determines how long the combo can go is the first hit. Following hits don't do hitstun proration, so every hit always stuns as long as possible. They can tech once the "time limit" set by the first hit runs out, though. Strange, but true. Before I was informed of this, I was kinda noticing a lot of things linking late in combos that seemed like they shouldn't, though I never completely put my finger on it. This explains it.
