  1. Well, that certainly SOUNDS nice. Better than waiting for 100 meter to be able to rapid cancel a MTW.
  2. Those 3k values on the H2 followups looks scary, but I guess they're prorated pretty heavily by that point. We're reaching Tager tier proration here.
  3. Voltic Charge. People call it "Cross Your Heart." Ah, ninja'd. Kinda. I had the page up for a while and didn't refresh.
  4. Well, its more like damage proration and hitstun/untech proration are two different things. I don't think anybody was suggesting that the damage proration is gone. You sure? Because it sounds like he meant exactly what he said: the first hit actually hard-sets the time in which you have to combo, and the rest of the hits don't matter. NOPE Uh... well, it's not a LONG combo I guess? Hahaha... eh.
  5. So... there's literally no hitstun proration, is that what this is saying?
  6. Hey man, I'm just happy to see somebody being legit effective with Tager again. But yeah the CH j2C bounce was ridiculous. Then again Rachel's j2C does the same crap, basically. I always did get annoyed when I'd counter with j2C and STILL not pick up a combo. Problem: SOLVED. At a bit after the 1 minute mark in that video, Tager gets a fatal 2C. What was Ragna doing? Somebody said it was a 6D but that seems like an odd thing to do that late into Tager's wakeup.
  7. Yeah, I thought he did lean back more for diagonal spark?
  8. I can actually see the logic of going from Tao to Azrael. He's got a similar cross-uppy "make your head spin" style of play. He's just a huge manly man instead of a spaztic catgirl. Holy SHIT. That 6k combo at 3:54. 50 meter and started from midscreen with a throw. Of course. Because his corner carry is fucking ridiculous. Also started with about 25 meter.
  9. All dead. THEY'RE ALL DEAD.
  10. Yeah, that's sorta how I felt. At least now I won't be fooled into trying to get a clean anti air hit out of it.
  11. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14675-BBCP-System-Changes-Movelist-Translations-and-Loketest-Information-Anything-Else-INFRACTION&p=1420962&viewfull=1#post1420962 ........ WHAT. Fuck me right in the ear.
  12. Well, that's certainly a thing that can happen in this game. My brain is having a hard time processing the notion that this isn't some unlimited shit I'm looking at.
  13. As if Western sub-culture wasn't just as bad about this stuff. Also I assume Agni probably isn't happy about other examples of fanservice either. My usual complaint in this matter is that I often feel like the sluttyness of a character's outfit doesn't really jive with the character's personality. Though in this case I can just blame Relius. He gave her a good ol'fashioned schoolyard wedgie.
  14. Well... it IS a drill.
  15. You sure? I get that crunching vegetables is good for bone-cracking type noises, but for blunt hit punches (that theoretically don't break bones because FG characters are made of adamantium)? I guess it depends on the vibe you're going for. EDIT: A cursory google search got me this poorly written post: "For teh punches just put a few leather jackets on top and hit em witha baseball bat. THat';s how Ben Burtt did it." That's regarding Indiana Jones.
  16. I'm not even sure what a generally accepted "getting hit" sound IS, guys. I think "slapping pieces of meat together really hard right next to the microphone" has been a media standard for decades in games, shows, and movies. Like, go listen to the ridiculous sounds you get when people get punched in Indiana Jones movies or something. So yeah, this is kind of a weird argument to be having.
  17. I'm not hating on it. It doesn't hurt my fucking head like... some others in this game. I will play Bullet shamelessly.
  18. Basically, there's no hitstun/untech proration. Instead, if you use an attack in a combo, then later on in the combo if you use it again at certain points, the opponent can burst out of the combo for free. Eventually you run out of attacks to use at those certain points, thus forcing you to end your combo. So basically its the same basic notion of trying to keep you from being repetitive and loop-y. Except it isn't all mixed up with a traditional proration system at the same time, making it less confusing to deal with.
  19. The more SMP gets applied to this game, the more I feel like SG's combo system makes perfect sense.
  20. Absurdly big - absurdly small - absurdly big You'll notice this recurring pattern in fiction. Anyway: I'm looking forward to Bullet. She's grappler-ish enough to be a good alternative to Tager. Probably better since she's faster and seems to have more options. Not sure why she just ended up looking like an alternate Makoto design though. Though honestly I like it better. Even if its still pretty slutty, at least it doesn't hurt my head as I try to figure out how it physically works. I feel like I'm going to like Makoto more as a person still, though. I'm hoping I'm wrong but I feel like Bullet is going to have a somewhat more stereotypical personality.
  21. Ah, really? That's a hell of a backdash. Well, smart Tagers won't randomly blow spark anyway.
  22. Why you gotta single us out man... Also: no idea. As far as I know Tager is the only guy that has a backdash with ridiculous invuln. Based on that trend, I'm going to guess "no."
  23. At least somebody in this game is keeping it classy.
  24. Yep. I can certainly hope that's the case, at any rate. I mean, it seems weird that it'd put the enemy airborn that long and not let you do anything after it.
