Good god. You could never pull somebody that far on the ground with a driver. That's some fun shit.
-
I was just dreaming about air-unblockable 623D earlier, myself. And I hadn't even considered negative penalty.
-
That gets me hard.
-
Oh yeah they're a snorefest to watch. But when you're PLAYING that shit man, you feel like goddamn Sun Tzu. Walking forward and watching the opponent being like "oh shit what do I do WHAT DO I DO." It used to just be dumb people who acted like that, but with diagonal spark you can get that shit even out of vets who are used to just jumping their way to victory. I'm SO looking forward to it.
-
Sigh, it is a tragedy that we're losing that possibility. I scored so many ragequits with that shit online. That just means against Tao, you just walk forward. If she just crawls on the ground the whole time then you're getting the advantage. Eventually she has to either attack or jump. Maybe there's a bunch of dumb Tagers who will just blindly blow spark, but I won't be one of them. I'll hold onto that shit and lumber forward threateningly.
-
Yeah, everything is a matter of experience, and what you're used to. I'm a pad warrior, myself. My left thumb keeps on rollin'. Also, thanks v0ddy.

Hitbox? Oh THAT thing. Yeah 720s would be kinda weird on that thing.
-
Ah. Well then, IGNORE ME. Part of me feels like OD is worth it just for 720.
-
Sigh. Though now that I think of it: maybe if you're right next to the opponent and you TK GP, it will cross them up, since it propels Tager forward a bit. Also: I swear, during some match video, I specifically looked to see if OD 720 magnetized an unmagged opponent, and it didn't seem to. Then again I think that 720 was a KO. Not sure if maybe the game didn't bother to apply magnetism at that point or something.
-
Whatever. At any rate Tager probably has the most healthy female prospects, lol. Even if one is a psycho bitch.
-
Well I think I'm just going to start calling it "Pancake" anyway.

The way GP moves his body upward and has such a big hitbox, it seems like it'd be a great way to jump in on somebody and maybe flat-out punish an anti-air. Actually being threatening on jump-in would be a hell of a change. Imagine jumping in on Ragna and him actually having to wonder what you're going to do, rather than just being like "oh uh 6A I guess."
-
You got me kinda hype, Chaos, I have to admit. Anybody know who that tager is?
-
As has been stated, it's not really an overhead. It does however move him forward a bit. Something I really want to see is whether or not it would make a good quick crossup when you're right next to the opponent. Also it does launch Tager upward slightly, changing his falling momentum, which can mess with people's aim and timing if used sparingly. Like at about 2:45 when he avoided and countered Azrael's super with it. You're right that it doesn't actually seem that punishable on whiff. Though that might just be people not being used to it. EDIT: Damn, watching this whole thing, grand punish is looking pretty awesome. It has a HUGE attack box, but at the same time it doesn't seem like his arm is actually vulnerable since Azrael's attacks often went right through it. Seems like you have to hit Tager's body, which gets moved up and out of the way during the attack. Chaos might be right.

This... this would actually be hilarious in practice, I can only imagine.
-
Yeah I guess they both are, really. I'd be comfortable saying that both Ragna and Noel fit the protagonist slot simultaneously. Noel doesn't seem like she's just "the chick" since I feel like she's past needing rescuing.
-
Ragna's been getting mad about this shit since day one. I think Ragna is supposed to be the audience surrogate character. Unfortunately, the writers failed to realize that the point of that character is to reveal things to the audience through other characters revealing things to him. They kinda missed that last part.

What Airk said, totally. I fucking hate how magnetism is flat-out nullified in a lot of cases. Airk's listed characters are the big offenders, but even stupid crap like not being able to pull Hazama on Houtenjin's recovery drive me up a goddamn wall. I mean, magnetism is SUPPOSED to be Tager's solution to his own lack of mobility. But it's like... imagine if you were playing as Ragna and you literally couldn't move any closer to a character while they were doing certain actions. Like, there was an invisible wall that held you in place until they completed that action. That's how retarded it is. On that note: while a sledge break would be awesome, I've often proposed a break on a magnetism move, such as 6A. So it'd be something of a reverse hammer fall, where instead of you going towards them, they get pulled towards you, and then you can immediately cancel to neutral at any moment while pulling them. Of course, that would still suffer from the above problem and not help when they weren't magnetized, but I figured it'd fit more with his theming. Maybe let us use GF whenever? That already recovers really fast. I dunno.

And suddenly Tager has legit air combos. How about that.
-
God damn this subject really brings some people's piss to a boil. If you want to talk about something else then talk about it. Don't just tell people that their current conversation sucks. That's useless.
-
And she needs to look like a hooker in battle because...? Not looking for an answer. There is no logic to be found here. We can just deal I guess.
-
Yeah that's probably my favorite feature of the game.
-
Ah, by "apple head" he's talking about "ahoge." Means "foolish/stupid hair". I honestly never even noticed it.
-
Dat character portrait.

Ah, yeah, I guess she wouldn't be wearing the NOL outfit, would she? Heh heh, err... THE UNDERBOOB JUST BOTHERS ME OKAY. It's not even about fanservice. It's just ever time I see her boobs and her top I'm like "no support aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAH." Yeah yeah "tons of unrealistic things in BB" I know but it still drives me nuts. HAHA NUTS BECAUSE SHE'S A SQUIRREL RIGHT okay that's enough from me tonight.
