6K, 6H, and aRtL changes are all pretty sweet. No real nerfs is nice since they seem to be balancing downward. Need to see the new moves but more moves is very rarely a bad thing and 3H Was definitely a nice move back in XX/#R/Slash. I'm pretty content with these changes if they stand.

Ky's 222H in AC worked just like Forward EXE beast, May FB, and IIRC Faust had one too. But yea the reason it does no damage is actually because it ate the guard bar completely. Like it took 30 guardbar or something outrageously high. I bet the new Javelin follow up is going to be for a corner loop since he lost that going into AC. Kinda like old #R VT loop or something cept way less damage because Javelin like call lightning eats guard bar. Kinda hoping FB Greed Sever is a low crush from frame one. That alone would make it cool, I don't even care if it's a mid at that point.

46D? It gives less damage then doing an actual combo. 222H is fine if that is what you think I meant. But 46D sucks because it doesn't give enough damage compared to doing Orb>5S>2H>combo. (which still gives you your best oki.) If it had less recovery there would set ups in the corner that would make it a decent corner combo option.

Ky's 222H is really good as it is. Also Sol's FB>OD follow up is amazing. Gives Combos, It does as much chip damage as Dark Angel and is way easier to get someone to block damage is solid too. Ky's would be amazing if it wasn't for the huge recovery. Like if he could keep combo-ing off of it in the corner you would see it more. Overdrives are mostly fine. Some aren't very good or useful but for the most part they are all useful.

Correct answers are May, Slayer and Sol. (Most the cast has pretty good normals tho.) May has 5H, j.H, j.S, far Slash, 2S, 2K, 5K, 3K, Close S and 2D. All are excellent normals, do high damage and some have good properties like 5K being throw invincible. Slayer's best moves are pretty much his normals. 5K, 5H, 2H, 2K, 5P, j.H, j.K, 2S, 2D are all among the best normals in the game. Sol has 5K, Everything on the slash button, 2H, j.H, 5H, j.D, 2D. All are extremely good at what they are made for. Since you have R-ky on your avatar... 5K, 2K, 2S, 2D, far Slash, j.S (I think it's either j.S or j.H), 2H, 5H are all fairly good normals. If your having execution problems I recommend just working the motions in the training mode till you can get the motion 5-10 times in a row. Then practice a short combo like 4-5 hits that ends with the move your intending on doing. Once your used to doing it, it should be easier in vs. mode. Also do the motion as slow as possible and make sure it is as correct as you can make it. Try to avoid picking up bad habits like f, qcf motions for DPs. You should just be picking whoever you want really. Most everyone has excellent normals in Guilty Gear. Even Normal Mode ABA has some good ones.

It is. IIRC it's easiest on Millia. I can check. But CH 6P>6H>236S>IAD>j.S should work pretty easy on her. Gonna be a certain distance of course. As soon as I hook up my PS2 today I'll check it out.

Kiskay. Which also is how every Ky player I've ran into. Pronounces his name. Kai Kiss-kay. Jokingly I'll sometimes say Kai Kai-skay as Japan Core has taught me. Made his Name even more awesome by changing the I in Kiske to a Y.

It's like 6.5-3.5 Ky. Maybe 6-4 May does do a lot of damage. Ky can turtle you all day. You really can't do anything without taking some risks. It's one of May's harder match ups I think.
