people tend to use it just for the hell of it (me included). I'd hardly call it something that would turn the tide of battle, like a heaven's libra or something. the thing is generally made of fail unless paired up with a group of all three of Sol's normal units, where it would constantly upgrade them. and we know that having all three of his units out isn't really....the best way to play Sol in most cases. very situational. Edit: Believe me when I say the Idea of what blockhead does is VERY cool (it makes pencil guys actually do damage), but it just isn't that useful. you'll pretty much almost never need it in a 1 vs 1 match...unless your determined to stuff it in your play style.
-
.... yeah, maybe not. I hate blockhead. in one update, they made it more expensive, but I don't see why. no one ever uses it anyway.
-
hehe, that's clever, I should do that for pencil guy. god damn, that unit simply does not do enough damage.
-
so I guess all women in suits must have been inspired by SNK right? c'mon.
-
if there's one thing that annoys me about this game, it's the useless units. there are units in this game your just better off without summoning. crap like pencil guys and wisemen. they just are not worth the mana to summon. those crappy units REALLY need a buff or something.
-
funny you say that because I'm a street fighter gamer myself.
-
whats MW2?
-
so your saying make them harder, but not crazy hard? yeah, makes sense, I agree. I just don't like the whole 1 frame reversal thing. seems...overkill. it's like a reversal is a mythical thing in sfII only found in legend when it comes to me doing it.
-
what does the word arbitrary mean by the way? and excessively easy reversals isn't really a problem in my eyes, if the moron is pulling a reversal, just block and punish. you know, mix it up and think. problem solved. things actually beat reversals you know, so making them easy doesn't really degenerate the game...well I think anyway.

HDR stands for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. it was released on xbox360 and ps3 via download. it's a rebalanced version of SSF2T with some things made easier, such as certain command executions and such. an example would be 360 throws.
-
Interesting opinion. HDR = HD remix right? HDR is awesome, and is a great example of what your saying.
-
funny, because Panda made combo videos for both of them. but I guess it would be redundant for you to basically record the same thing over again wouldn't it? can't you do something a little more creative besides combos when it comes to them though?just throwing the Idea out there.
-
didn't you just make a video for Izuna? what community?
-
did you know about the Sol guard break thing though? I have never seen anyone do it besides kimera in one match on nico video. I was very surprised about that. did it on this rolent chief (a good jp ky player) me and my friend crabbas was joking that player was probably all like "NANDATO!?" when I did it to him. I felt bad ass killing him like that. you should have put that in your combo video if you did know aout it, it's really helpful. I don't really celebrate Christmas. you save a lot of money that way. I LOVE GG2! EVEN IF I DO NOTHING BUT LOSE.

you miss a lot when you play in increments of weeks.

new post cuz I'm badass like that, to hell with edits. found something very nasty for Sol's overdrive. (L) x, 6x, 2x, a+x. if they block the first three hits, the first hit of the overdrive will break their guard, the second hit Will do 480 damage. three characters instantly dead, no chance to burst. WOOT! I loves it. Edit: don't avoid a knock when it comes to stun dipper. just don't.
-
Xithmos, would you be so kind as to place combo inputs for these videos in the descriptions? should be easy for you since your the one who did them. also, I don't like ky's guard break combos in that video. seem VERY bad, only noobs will sit there and let ky break their guard like that, and many of the strings would not punish side steps.

to me, I believe a team that works with one another and is receptive the their team mates needs is what makes a good team. this means they are both equally flexible, they can carry their own lot, and are willing to lose some ground for the sake of helping out their partner. coordination and communication is key when it comes to collaborative offense as well. and for the love of god, help the guy out when he's getting jumped by two masters. I mean, holy crap. sometimes being turtle is necessary, but you must do something to break the ice and change the momentum in your favor. FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD. oh, and my F.A.Q. has been updated with 2 vs 2 and Points Match sections. WEE!

blah, the last match I had with ayumu as my partner, he sat at a ghost THE ENTIRE MATCH. that's ALL he did. I was paradigm, he was valentine, vs a sol and a ky. Illyria2. He was on top, I was on bottom. I had the center of the bottom, and attempted to get units on the uppper bridge on the opponent's side. well, he didn't get the center of the map on the top, he missed out for whatever reason. how did he try to open the enemy defense and capture the middle again? STAND IN THE GHOST NEXT TO IT WITH HIS UNITS AND NOT MOVE. for anything. just stand there, hoping Sol is dumb enough to tell his force to advance so he can overdrive them. Sol sat there all day, made a Gigant and fortify his position, making the assault all the more difficult, but it's ok, BECAUSE AYUMU CLEARLY HAD NO INTENTION OF ASSAULTING HIM. I wanted to, you know, make some headway, so I go over to ayumu is, and I tell him "lets advance" clearly I'm telling him to attack the ghost ahead of us, and I'll help him out personally, my force where it is in case Ky tries to penetrate it without me there. he continues to stand there. than I decide to say to hell with him and advance myself on the bottom of the map (so far I've tried a few times, but the deadlock map dominance made it difficult for subtle moves to not get overtaken when your partner is literally doing nothing). so I do so, and on top of my units being dominated by a group with a convict hammer (I must have made some mistake with my assistant Bonnie, and the buff units must have torn through my regular ones) I'm ready to call this assault off and retreat. Sol decides he's going to help his pal eventually, and goes to where I am and double teams me. I get destroyed. Ayumu is nowhere to be seen in in my plight. through my regrouping efforts, I don't remember what exactly happened to Ayumu specifically, but I clearly remember him NOT DOING ANYTHING for the majority of the match. I never see him engage an enemy master or advance.when Ky starts pushing back, Sol once again gets bored and decides to double team me again. Ayumu demonstrates his awesome teamwork by standing at his ghost and letting me get raped. that has NEVER happened with one of my partners. I mean, at least throw me a fucking bone and help me out when being double teamed. shoot. when a paradigm has more balls to advance than you, there is something wrong. stop being such a turtle ayumu. Edit: don't mind me Ayumu, just ranting. I was really pissed about it when it happened though.

I swear these Japanese.... I go in a room and everybody runs for it like I have the plague. at least give me a chance!
-
I so he wins alot when he's not partnering with you? guess your not a team player.... I never hated I game that I like so much as this. Fucking hard as hell. EDIT: English voice acting rocks, use it. oh, and new guy, I have a guide for multiplayer at gamefaqs and a GG2 video thread at guilty pleasures section if you need help in the game. have fun with it.

Xithmos vs Blackgenma 1 vs 1 record xithmos: 3 wins, 3 loses Blackgenma: 3 wins, 3 loses I suck.
-
updated my video thread again. YES. also neovid, you got your wish, I've incorporated an Item section in my FAQ over at gamefaqs, but since I'm working on other parts of the guide, I haven't submitted the updated version yet. remember to put those videos in a play list Xithmos. Since they're part of a series, you should organize them as such. EDIT: the video thread lacks matches from Sin's perspective. it only has one match from a Sin's perspective. EDIT(2):OK, I lied, there are about 3 matches with him as the player total.
-
all those Sol combos end the same.... oh well, they're still practical I guess. the last overdrive combo looked cool be sure you put this stuff in a play list.
