  1. I'm looking forward to CS2 because it'll be a nice change of pace. Because of the way/s I play Bang and how I treat the matches, it's almost always fun, even still in CS1. So in that regard CS2 will be nothing new since I've always had fun playing the game the way I play it.
  2. It isn't completely universal. In fact a lot of his combos aren't, even if they seem like it, but no character specific notes have really been listed about that kinda stuff. I started testing combos and making notes about that stuff a long time ago as you can see from the air ender section, but people didn't seem to really care at the time about the rest of it so I stopped posting it. 2 examples: The 2 seal combo that Nezu and I think Den were doing in CS1, That 2 seal combo even though it wasn't the optimal 2 seal combo, it provided different oki setups. One may think it is universal, but it most definitely isn't. You record that combo on Jin and it will work and then play it back against the rest of the cast and you'll see all the differences. Now that combo is one of Bang's BnBs in CS2, because of the changes it may be more universal but at this point I haven't spent that much time on it, so we'll see. In CS1 it definitely isn't. The combo you're talking about is kinda the same way, You read it and there's no character specific notes. You try and do a regular forward throw and do that combo and you'll find out it doesn't work against Bang / Carl for whatever reason. You'll realize that you actually have to do a back throw against them for it to work. And I'm not even sure it works on Tager / Rachel but I can't remember. And I'm pretty sure there's other adjustments that need to be made for other characters or it might not even work out right against them. Stuff like that is important but lacking here. One could say that's stuff you just learn with experience or training mode, but for the site that's supposed to be for people who are competitive and "serious" about learning you would think those details would be important enough to be posted.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vtKTSuDgHA One of my favorites, literally and figuratively.
  4. I posted this in the lounge thread but it might've been overlooked since it was at the end of a page right before a new one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv1dszCoBKM Just showing some example combos. I already know some of them have better versions, but it was just a starting point and really it was just me messing around with what I knew and as I was trying things. It took me ~4 hours to upload...1.36 GBs...don't ask.
  5. I'll hold my judgement til I actually play people in terms of how good or bad he really is since it depends on the match-ups. But in terms of just him and his moves/combos: I don't think he's worst than CT, but I don't think he's as good as CS1 simply because there's a lot of situational stuff to consider. If you do the harder combos, his damage is still probably the same so that isn't really an issue. In general I just think his combos are harder than CS1 only because of the changes in certain moves properties. You can't just do whatever the hell you want. That's Day 1 Impressions though without playing people, so it isn't saying much really. I will say that any new people thinking of picking up Bang better really learn their stuff, cause they won't be able to just do whatever and win anymore.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv1dszCoBKM Just showing some combo examples. But I'm sure everyone has seen these combos from watching Japanese matches.
  7. BB:CS2 - Bang Combo Examples http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv1dszCoBKM *Note* - These combos aren't necessarily the best possible ones to do, they are just showing some of the new ways Bang can/has to combo because of his changes. And some of those fire punches are supposed to be grounded ones but it doesn't really matter in those particular instances if you get the idea.
  8. Nice list. I'm working on my own as well. I'm at 5 pages with some formatting here and there.

  12. Yea that's kinda what I thought / meant. When I was trying just 964C it wasn't working, but when I did 9664C it seemed to work. To me, that makes it not quite an IAD cause I'm used to thinking IAD as being just 96. But I don't know what counts as IAD or not, lol. You definitely gotta do it fast as hell so in my book it's practically an IAD anyway. And nice to see the combo damage on that, the video it was from had the worst quality ever so you couldn't see anything.
  13. Thanks for checking things out. My next question or I guess just clarification is for the combos that go into 6C>IAD j.4C>etc. Is it actually IAD j.4C or is it jump cancelled into an air dash j.4C? I ask because I was actually trying to see if it worked in CS1, and whenever I was trying IAD j.4C after 6C it didn't seem come out, but when I tried to jump cancel the 6C and immediately air dash it worked (the follow-up j.623B kept whiffing but I don't know if it was cause it's cs1 and just doesn't work or if I'm just not used to the combo). So is it actually an IAD j.4C or is it just a really fast jump cancel into air dash j.4C?
  14. Good shit, came here to see what Litchis are doing with the match-up, now I just need to do the reverse of whatever you said cause I'm tired of losing to Litchi so much.

  17. Can you guys find out how much damage Bang gets off of: 5A>5B>2B>6C>air dash>j.4C>j.623B>(wall bounces)>Daifunka Or 5A>5B>2B>6C>air dash>j.4C>j.623B>(wall bounces)>d.5C>6D>Daifunka Also can you check the damage on this combo: (CH) 5A>5B>2B>6C>air dash>j.4C>j.623B>(wall bounces)>d.5C>6D>623B>2B>5B>j.A>j.B>j.4C>dj.C. It's nearly impossible to see the damage from the video but it was definitely 3k+. The reason why it might be important is because that combo started nearly mid-screen and was capable of getting wall bounce anyway, finish in the corner, and do good damage. Extra note, it was done on Hakumen, so I don't know if that will matter. And if you guys happen to try it out, the combo started with the opponent at exactly Player 1's starting position, with Bang/Dora as Player 2 running up to them and doing it. Would Ashura actually do more damage than Daifunka during some combos since didn't it get a damage increase? I honestly don't know how the proration works so someone can probably explain to me why it would or wouldn't do more damage.
  18. Lol. Not to make you feel worse but after he grabbed you the 2nd time where the clip cut, he hit you into the air and you burst again lol and he caught you with another attack but didn't fully punish. Thought it was funny, but it didn't fit right with the timing.

  21. Nice write-up Kensou.
  22. In my opinion, I think it is situational in a broad sense. 1) How* far into the match did it take for you land 4 seals / get 50% Heat? -If they are practically dead....probably not needed to go into FRKZ at that point. -If you landed 4 seals early and got 50% before they are below about 50% health and you think it'll help you win the match, sure why not. 2) What character are you fighting against? -Tager, yes go for it. -Arakune/Litchi, maybe hold off on it unless it is a match winning instance, or the opponent isn't good against it. -Lambda, she's probably already dead..... 3) Does the opponent have experience against FRKZ or after you use it in match did it seem like they could stop you? -If no, go for it. -If yes, consider the above before doing so. 4) Will it turn the tide of the match or win you the match outright if you do it in a particular instance either mid-combo or before the active frames of their attack (or whatever)? -If yes, do it. -If no, maybe. 5) Do you think saving 50% for Bangs Counter Assault would be more useful? -If yes, don't use it. -If no, consider the above. At least that's some of the things I think about before using it. I know, but doesn't that make sense for a reason why I said it isn't like some auto win button. If it's not a good idea in certain match-ups, than it isn't some end all be all thing to do to win the match, which is what my point was.
  23. So you think it's a good idea to use FRKZ against Arakune and Litchi for example in terms of the match-up, not the players playing?
  24. Nah, it really hasn't, except against Tager / Hakumen. Even then, it's still arguable just how useful/needed it is. By no means was it ever a "win button", except against Tager 90% of the time. It's just something extra that let's him do crazy stuff. Using FRKZ isn't like it automatically becomes Bangs advantage in a match. And before you say "people just need to learn to use it", Nezu used it a hell of a lot in CS and I didn't see him win SBO with it. Satoshi who played the most cut and dry Bang out of anybody got 2nd with his team.
