  1. It's basically respect. If you can do that it means the opponent is respecting your block strings / pressure by actually blocking even though you "stopped" for a brief moment with your pressure. I won't really get into the other theory fighter things that could be implied or used with this.
  2. +1 internet to you for that quote.
  3. Sorry we couldn't play tonight, a friend was over most of the day/night. It saddens me that I know I need to play more serious or else I won't get better. It's just hard for me to get into that mindset considering a lot of different variables that come into play or that I think about in relation to this game. BUT that's pretty much what it has come down to if I want to continue playing BB with all the people I play with and not get "left behind". Unfortunately once we get whatever form of CSII, I'll have to start all over again anyway. But yea, I guess I'll be playing seriously all the time now.

  4. It's funny that you said this because literally last night I did it to a Tager in the corner 2 times in a row because they kept back dashing on wake up. 3rd time I'm like ok he won't back dash in the corner again, I go for a normal attack, back dash>360'd. 4th time, Web Nail caught his back dash again lol.
  5. EDIT: Nevermind lol. http://dustloop.com/guides/bbcs/systemGuide/systemGuide.html#heatGauge
  6. That's cause it was a combo video. If you saw actual matches with Unlimiteds you would probably think otherwise. But everything you said would basically make them not Unlimiteds and thus not even do half the cool stuff. Some (if not all I imagine) have some stupidly broken yet probably simple loops. Off the top of my head, Litchi, Noel, Hakumen. Obviously they are fun to mess around with and do some pretty awesome stuff, but by no means would I want to play it like that on a regular basis. Plus you have stuff like this: Fun vs. Tager.
  7. People post in different match finder threads all the time.
  8. Balanced in the sense that they are all broken? But still no, I think there are some Unlimiteds that are just more broken than others. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3v3o48xPOU Apparently the mode is going to be like Score Attack, except instead of fighting normal characters then "boss" Unlimiteds, you'll fight ALL Unlimited characters.
  9. (Long Discussion Post...sorry) Nah I didn't mean it like that with the CS1 patch thing. I meant that's exactly how they WOULD be dicking over the arcades, which isn't the case obviously. I'm just looking at it as the fact that the major difference between CS2 arcade and CS console is going to be just the balance changes. So I don't think it would be such a terrible business decision to then do the same balance changes to the console version in the form of a free patch, when that's all that it's really missing that matters. Then they can go and charge for Unlimited Wars / Platinum. If they never added Makoto/Valkenhayn/Platinum as DLC, then yea I wouldn't even mind if they released CS2 in disc form with the 3 DLC characters / Unlimited Wars / Balance Changes / Story Addtions. Like you said, that's basically what they do anyway when it comes to new games. But in this instance, I think they are just going to do a patch sooner rather than later, release Platinum as DLC obviously, and MAYBE Unlimited Wars as DLC. They would have to really add some more stuff to make a disc version, in which case they might as well make it the next game. Selling the stuff as DLC is business in itself, balance patch hopefully not included in that but free. Although your main point just seems to be WHEN and in what form these balance changes will come to us on consoles. I just can't see it as being several months when there isn't a lot to be added, unless they truly make the next full game which means more characters and more location tests so it just doesn't seem likely to me. And releasing it as CS2 in disc form a few months from now seems kinda bad for people who have bought the DLC characters and only real change would be the balance changes. DLC gives them business, and the arcade scene in Japan probably wouldn't be hurt by a console game just being updated to EQUAL the arcade standards. It isn't like SF4 > SSF4 (which is now getting an enhanced Arcade Version as well...) So yea, i guess it is like SF in that sense, so SF is NOW in the exact same situation with SSF4 console vs. SSF4 Arcade Edition unlike the SF4 vs. SSF4 situation. But I guess we just gotta wait and see/hear what they say. (Long Discussion Post...sorry)
  10. I think a lot of people are going by the fact that they said "6 months" after the release of BB:CS, which just so happens to be around now, which also just so happens to be around the time of the arcade release of CS2 which has balance changes in addition to the console characters/DLC characters. I could understand the view point of dicking over the arcades if it was a BB:CS 1 release, then a balance patch to console BB:CS, with NO BBCS2 arcade release. But I don't really see how it's dicking over the arcades when the only additions arcade BBCS2 is getting over the current console version is balance adjustments not including Platinum so far and Unlimited Wars. It just seems silly to not give the console version of BBCS a balance patch to make it up to date when from what I hear, shouldn't be "too hard" to do. Confirmed by the fact that Makoto's parry loop was removed from 1.01 to 1.02, so they can obviously make gameplay changes at will. EDIT: The simple fact that it even goes by a version number should mean that a balance patch was always an option and it just doesn't make sense to wait an extended period of time for what could be a simple process for them outside of getting it approved by Microsoft/Sony. I see no reason why we couldn't even get another balance patch 6 months AFTER the one we should get for the exact same reason. Then even the arcade can get updated with the new system they are using. All the while they can work on the next game/s, while releasing balance patches to balance BlazBlue until the next full version. I also don't think we will have to pay for the balance patch specifically because that just doesn't seem like something that should be DLC. Having to pay for Unlimited Wars and the DLC characters I'm fine with by comparison, although I'm not a fan of DLC in general so normally i'd be against paying for that stuff as well. Now when you say "anytime soon", that's another story. I see no reason why we couldn't get it by at least January. Hell if it wasn't for XBL I think Platinum would've already been released or at least be released next month but now who knows.
  11. Lol nice job walking RIGHT IN FRONT of their shot. I must be damn good at remembering faces.
  12. Mr.Biscuits on TV??? - 2m16s into the video... I honestly don't even know Mr.Biscuits like that, I've seen him on the teamspooky stream before but that's about it. Either that's him, or the dude looks JUST like him. (if someone somehow already posted this, my bad lol.)
  13. It's funny because that was probably the first post I've ever made in any other character's forum ever. *Gets out*
  14. this thread might be as good as Road to Ikaruga one day
  15. Let me know if you're still trying to play tonight. I can only stay up til around 9pm since i have to get up early for work.

  16. That'll work. If not i'll let you know if something came up.

  17. Yea no problem. I'm not really doing much of anything today, so just give me a time frame and i'll try to get on.

  18. I'm trying to test it now. You can get at least the 3 seals, but maybe can't finish the combo for oki. *Note* you have to be relatively low to the ground with the air throw it seems. On Hakumen (so far): Air Throw>B Nail>5A>*explosion*>j.D>2B>623B>d.2D>j.D>Web Nail>X = I personally couldn't get 5D or d.5C to connect at the end. Maybe that was just execution error on my part so who knows. Air Throw>B Nail>5A>*explosion*>j.D>2B>623B>d.6C>j.D>Web Nail>d.5C>6D>X = I'm not sure if 623B can land after 6D, but you can at least do a bumper. EDIT: Some "testing" results: *I recorded the d.6C>j.D>Web Nail>d.5C>6D version of the combo against Jin and used it to test on everyone else, so it might not be entirely accurate but it gives you an idea.* Jin / Litchi = Works fine. *Hakumen* = I did the combo before on Hakumen, but the recorded version d.5C didn't land like it did on Jin so it is a difference in timing I guess. Ragna / Tao / Bang / Carl = They can tech before the 6D, so maybe just different timing will land it or a different height of the air throw OR doing d.2B which I didn't even do which probably would help. Noel / Lambda / Hazama / Tsubaki / Rachel / Makoto = All can tech before the first j.D apparently, so I'd say it more than likely doesn't work on them no matter what you try. Tager / Arakune = They can tech after the Web Nail, mainly because the Web Nail caught them too high. Not sure if that can be fixed by doing the Web Nail differently or not. Mu / Valkenhayn = They can tech before the second j.D. I'm probably not gonna post a video after all since it doesn't seem to be needed after explaining it. Someone else can feel free to test it some more to see what they can get to work on other characters, or figure out any adjustments.
  19. Again? They must really hate j.D. I'm pretty sure it was nerfed the same way from CT > CS. Not really that big a deal though in the grand scheme of things.
  20. Time / Money, support from "Xanadu regulars" that actually play BB to show interest beyond just playing it if it's there.
  21. Madden 2004 is easily my favorite Madden, and I haven't liked a Madden game since then. I even made my own playbook and PLAYS specifically designed around Michael Vick, and was quite unstoppable against my friends. Now I hate Madden (although I never really liked it much anyway). So yea, I'm a Michael Vick fan minus the whole dog thing.
  22. I agree with this post almost entirely. I hate the tech system for the reasons you stated. The only thing I disagree slightly on is the damage nerfs, which really only depends on how I look at the combos and what they are trying to accomplish. If they want small combos, I don't understand why they would also nerf the damage. The rounds already take forever in competitive matches, making even lower damaging combos and just more of them isn't going to help that. If they wanted small combos I would've thought they would go for higher damage for all characters. I don't agree with really long high damage combos either (CS Litchi). But having everyone do damage like CS Rachel/Tsubaki doesn't seem right either. I would think CS Hakumen would be the more appropriate combo length/damage if they truly wanted shorter combos. 10+ hits for regular BnBs (not beginner ones) for the average damage, and 15+ for advanced high damaging combos seems reasonable. But 20-30 hits for high damage is not cool just due to length alone. And 10-15 hits for barely any damage isn't either due to a lot of effort for no real impact. At least that's how I would look at it. Guess we gotta wait and see how the overall game turns out.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vtKTSuDgHA Pretty awesome if you guys are playing JoJo's. Is spooky still going to stream or is he busy with other stuff? I'd be interested in just seeing JoJo's on the stream lol.
