  1. 2 requests for the Danisen League site, please: Bang's regular #6 Palette and Lambda's DLC Gold Palette, using the same CS style portraits like the others. Thanks.
  2. lol I agree with your statement though.
  3. I want to say nice job to everybody doing these. I'm going to ask for a pretty random request: Is it ok if I potentially use these for the Danisen League site I made? I would obviously give credit to each artist. What I want to do is for the rankings next to the player's name instead of just having their character listed, instead it would be a small sprite of their character in the color they actually use/used last. So originally the idea was to just use a default picture of the characters, then I was going to put the sprites w/ the specific color, and now we have these. I think these look really good which is why I'm making this request. For starters I was only going to put the pictures with the highest level players. Since obviously all the characters/colors aren't finished, I might just make a request for the small handful and at least try to get them done. But first I want to get permission from: Misae, MusouSenshouzan, Murki, DarkSSJShinji, yashanyu, and Tong. If I have to, I'll PM each of you individually to ask when the time finally comes for me to set it up. Again, nice job on what has been made so far.
  4. It doesn't work on Ragna. You should man up and just do 6B>2A>5B>623B>d.6B>2B>623B>d.6B>2C. But no seriously, you can just do 6B>2A>5B>623B>5D>air ender. Or look in the combo section for the highest damage one that still gives oki (or max damage no oki, whatever).
  5. Yea, I guess I was thinking of people actually posting them to compile information, but that's probably not needed or the right place for that.
  6. I find it funny that people are coming up with some high damage combos using meter, before figuring out BnBs and mix-ups to even get that meter. Feels like a bunch of steps have been skipped and it's already into combo videos. If I spend some more time on this game I'll post some Kanon/Shannon related stuff if someone doesn't already do it before me.
  7. I don't know about "troll setups", but if I'm messing around with bumpers, at the start of the round I'll do IAD backwards>B Nail>land>B Bumper, and depending on how they react or if I didn't get hit already D bumper. I used to do sj away A Nail, try to setup whatever bumper pattern, but that's not exactly effective (not that the other way is really either.) And if they didn't come after you and they are playing relatively reserved, you could walk up to the B Bumper and then TK the A bumper I believe it is, and now you have a row of 3 nicely spaced bumpers. Otherwise, I occasionally will throw out a bumper after a combo ending near the corner to hopefully set it up just outside the corner (Nezu). Then there was a combo video with a bunch of random Bang stuff and part of it had mid combo bumper setups. So you'd start a combo>bumper>continue the combo>go into potential mix-up off said bumper hoping they actually tech to your benefit. I'll probably remember this wrong but it was something like, 5A>5B>2C>B Bumper?>2A>5B>j.B>j.C (you should be right near that Bumper)>bumper dash mix-up. Part of that has them whiffing j.4C after the bumper dash (on purpose) into command throw. While if you happen to do this kind of mix-up and actually land that j.4C anyway, that's big damage. Another bumper situation is off of the Nezu combos, where he usually does blah blah>6D>Bumper or blah blah>6D>623B>Bumper. Because 6D's hit stun/tech time? or whatever it's called is so long it gives you plenty of time and obviously 623B's wall bounce in CS gives you enough time. But I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for with "troll setups" while still being "good" setups so I don't know what to say really. Go into the CS1 Video thread and look for matches from Den or Nezu to see Bumper stuff, or find ones that say "Yellow Bang" since that could potentially be Den.
  8. Checked the game out, probably would go with Kanon and I guess Shannon for a team.
  9. Let's say I wanted to make a character intro using the available sprites/effects, what would be the easiest program to use, assuming I have no experience with ANY of the possible programs? I have some experience in Photoshop/After Effects but I'm really looking for the most basic and easy way to accomplish this just to see if my idea looks cool on screen as it does in my head. I have GIMP as well but haven't used it much at all. And I have no experience with Flash animation.
  10. How do I beat YOU? Or at least what the hell should I be doing/looking for in the Bang vs. Litchi match-up besides "don't get hit" ? Make it as detailed as you would like, because the Bang match-up thread for Litchi is lacking solid information.
  11. I'll summarize GAMEacho's past BlazBlue videos: Nezu's Bang going on win streaks with FRKZ, Taokaka / Litchi / Hakumen and used to be Galileo's Tager going on win streaks, and maybe a Ragna player. But 9 times out of 10 a BB video from them will be Nezu doing FRKZ and winning a lot with the occasional other character winning before or after Nezu stops playing. At least that's what I see most of the time. (At least I think it is Nezu, and the rest of the Bang forum probably agrees.)
  12. Sure. @ your sig - I still need to finish Persona 3, and I have Persona 4 still in the wrapping lol.

  13. Nonetheless, his combos are almost completely different, which is what I was referring to. But ok.
  14. He should be more concerned about his character staying really good, than you should be for your character going from top tier to what is as of now bottom tier? How does that work? You basically have to re-learn Bang, and I don't know anything about Arakune but that 100% Curse for 50% Heat seems kinda good and from the little I've seen, Arakune is doing relatively the same stuff as he did in CS1. NINJA EDIT: *Damnit rei lol*
  15. Air Unblockable. It can still be barrier blocked I imagine, I doubt it's a true "air unblockable".
  16. Dear Arc System Works: If Arakune is allowed to get curse off his one Distortion, please allow Bang to get seals off his command throw a'la his unlimited form. -Thanks Stream is pretty awesome, I like the way they are running the multiple screen setup. And I just saw an Arakune go for Astral..... EDIT: Beginner Mode Tager, lol, gets Astraled.
  17. A+C for movement, B+D for mix-up, at least that's how I look at it, not counting TK'd bumpers. B+D are low to the ground and give less time for them to react, while A+C is obviously higher so they see you jump into them longer before you actually dash anywhere off them. And you'd be much more likely to be able to combo off of a hit after a B or D bumper dash since you're low to the ground, while A+C you're much higher. With B+D being lower it puts you at risk for getting hit by more things in my opinion, which is why A+C seems more useful just to get around. But obviously against certain zoners it still puts you in danger at times because they have moves that can cover that high into the air (Lambda's swords). I find myself using B+D, or even just B at times. I've been using A+C a lot less though, maybe only against Tager/Hakumen but even then I probably just end up with B+D.
  18. In my honest opinion, you should never be out of nails at the end of the round unless the match is really close. That said, it does happen, and you're pretty much stuck playing BlazBlue's form of footsies. You should be using Bang's mobility to try and put yourself in a better situation than the opponent. For the most part it shouldn't be an issue with Hakumen. Litchi....well she's Litchi so not much I can say since I do terrible against LK and WoZ. You'll probably be jumping a lot more, just make sure you're doing it with a purpose and understanding of the situation it is putting you in in terms of the match-up. If you're worried about mobility and are using up nails, you might want to consider actually using some for bumpers, so that even if you run out you at least have another option to get around differently than the opponent. A 2 nail bumper pattern lasts the whole round while 3 nails are gone in a second and sometimes don't even work out or get wasted. How much mix-up you get off those bumpers or how useful they become is another story, but at least it is something to consider. Maybe even consider just 1 bumper (probably B or D) in the middle of the stage since that's where you would want an added option since it's the most likely place to be neutral. Another option is to go for FRKZ which speaks for itself. If you're getting outpoked in general, that's more or less you not thinking about your spacing / their spacing and making bad reads or not reacting with the appropriate action whatever that may be. I honestly don't feel right "critiquing" people because I don't think I'm good enough to give advice, but it is more or less general things to consider and there probably isn't a correct way to go about doing it since it depends on what your opponents are doing and how you actually play Bang. But that's my thoughts, if you do post videos I'll watch and see if there is any glaring mistakes or bad habits that I could comment on. Otherwise hopefully someone else can give better advice for things to look out for.
  19. I'm not sure I'd call an hour drive locally, but I guess that's splitting hairs. Honestly, I don't even have a problem with the MD Dustloop BB community being nonexistent on here. One of the problems I have, is people "hating" (i'm using that loosely) on the BB scene and calling "us" out for staying at home / playing online, yet what the hell is the GG scene doing? This is supposed to be Dustloop, and GG is supposed to be hot shit by comparison, yet I'm pretty sure I saw GG pull single digits for that tournament. So I guess the MD GG scene is worst than BB players by the logic everyone is using around here. And i'm not even hating on GG itself. And i'll bring SF up again, the Xanadu thing is posted on SRK which is bigger than DL, and SF is way more popular than BB, and BB is never even listed for the list of games people might be playing, yet that ONE time we did do something SF was barely bigger than it. It's easy to pull players when the name of the game is Street Fighter. So how can you even say anything about the BB scene not showing up, when in the instance there was a notice of something BB related happening it was one of the more popular games and pulled more people than the game that everyone seems to praise and whole basis of shitting on BB is from (GG). If I lived in Baltimore and was more local to Xanadu and could show up on a regular basis then I wouldn't have a problem trying to make a BB scene myself and get people interested. But I don't have that opportunity. Not live right in Baltimore, have to get up for work at 5am.
  20. Ragna is one of the characters where the timing is really strict, which is why you probably aren't landing it consistently. EDIT: I'd say the character with the most "general hitbox" or the character where almost all of his combos work no matter what, is Jin.
  21. That's more or less a timing thing. You'll just have to get used to it. Assuming you're talking about landing the initial d.2D. As for landing j.D off of the 2D, that'll be specific to certain characters. On some of them the timing is stupidly tight to make it almost not even worth trying, while others are a lot easier. THEN even if you land that part, the rest of the combo is also going to be character specific to a certain degree. This is all stuff I was testing a long time ago, but no one seemed to care at the time so I stopped.
  22. Just to make a point about this: When I actually did a BB tournament at Xanadu, almost every Maryland PSN player I know showed up and played and a few of the 360 guys that I've seen post on Dustloop. I believe there was only 1 person who I think was from MD or at least "the area", that didn't make it since I guess they were busy I can't remember. Not only did "we" show up, we had 3 setups, and had I believe the 2nd most people in the tournaments only behind SF4 by like 6 players or something. Considering the negative stigma in MD for BB, and "online players", I'd say we did alright by comparison. But....it was just that one time, but probably the only time recently that there was a PLANNED BB tournament for people to show up to, at least to my knowledge. Just saying.
  23. CH j.D's ground bounce>dash under>5B>2B>j.4C>j.623B = 1,995 (I think)
  24. It's been how many days since the game released? I thought the idea was that things would get better as time went on. Give it time. No point stressing over it until a few months from now if the Japanese players are still doing terrible or until you actually get to play it at least.
