Is there really any reason to do that 3c combo? It's really not difficult to haida in CS unless your up against Hazama, Makoto, or Tsubaki IMO. 3c -> 22c -> dash (gauge distance during dash animation to hit with tip of 6c) -> (6c -> 22b -> 22c)xN -> ender I tend to 3c -> 22bc -> 66c -> 4d -> Bloom Trigger -> 6c -> (ender) in the corner, but a little haida practice goes a long way and often positions you near the corner for 2b oki and 5a/throw.

The whole combo should work on Carl, too. Keep in mind that if they are crouching (you have plenty of time to confirm their status during 6c's hit animation) you need to change it up to 5d -> 6a -> 6c -> 6d -> spring raid -> 66c -> ender.

Where was this tourney at? I live in the Toledo area too, but haven't looked around for a scene.

Wind regen is worse now, but she has her instant overhead mix-up again. Not having to use wind for 5cc and slower overall wind recovery balances out how many j.2c's you can do in any given blockstring in any given match. You will also want to conserve wind for fatal j.2c's for big damage. Smart move IMO. Only problem I see is that pumpkin doesn't seem worth the wind any more.
-
Well if you can condition them to block 5a after j.b jump-ins then you can start to omit the 5a and do the jump drive cancel into d.6b, d.6d, d.214d, or d.5c -> jc -> w/e.... etc etc.
-
Well, I understand the concept. I just don't play anyone that isn't on auto-pilot 99% of the time so I don't really get to use it. In fact, I'm getting pretty awful at this game playing ranked matches.
-
Fast overhead/one frame hole combo reset is useless?
-
We still have IB 4d.
-
Not really sure either. Can you cancel 2c into 5c from the first hit or do you have to land all three?
-
She doesn't, really. I guess she can 22b through his d moves...
-
I haven't really had any troubles with Hakumen since I retrained myself around 6a's new timing. Most of these guys are scrubs so you can troll them with optic barrels and AA them during the typical iad -> j.c. I tend to not follow it up and just start optic barreling them again. It's amazing how many times they will IAD in on you after getting CH'd and smacked away every time. You can 5d through a lot of his C moves, but try to shy away from using 4d here. You'll probably get counter hit.
-
Ragna doesn't need speed because his 5b shuts everyone down anyway and his pressure actually leads to massive damage.
-
Except Noel and Tsubaki belong in C+ tier. Noel can't do anything with her normals and Tsubaki has to spend all of her time charging for lol worthy damage gain.
-
5d, 2d, and 4d are the only moves with invulnerability to worry about. You can cat chair drive strings. Just be smart and time lobelias if they're spamming 5d for approach and j.236b if they're using 4d as an anti-air.
-
Nu's C moves don't just "beat drives." They are slow and if she's going to interrupt you, it's not going to be with any C shit. You can 2d over Lambda's 6c and 2c and 5d through 6c and 2c as well. 3c is a worry because it has so many active frames but it's slow anyway so stick to d.5a links and you're somewhat safe. That brings in the DP shit but whatever.
-
I'm winning because they all suck, but I can't get out of her 5a. It's too fast.
-
If you're charging 2d at full screen and anybody uses a fulls creen projectile (Jin ice swords, Bang nails, Litchi's spinning staff, etc) you WILL have enough time to 22b.
-
It's very very very easy to guardpoint ice swords with 22b from full/midscreen. Even if you're a bit too slow every so often in the exchange (sword spam) the invincibility frames are lengthy enough to cover you for the most part.
-
I mean... I guess it will land SOMETIMES because it alters her pattern of descent somewhat. IAD -> j.4d covers a lot of distance and can make them screw up their aa timing or cross up. I never know what to follow up a drive hit with anymore though because 66c timing off of spring raid is bullshit online.
-
j.4d has invulnerability on the way down, but it's too slow. Theoretically, you could use it to pass through anti-airs with enough recovery to be hit by the actual attack portion of the move. But if I'm going to jump in and see an aa coming... I'm going to instant block it and j.d anyway.
-
oi It's like playing Dead or Alive 4 with all this disadvantage on block.
-
Winded lobelia makes this match laughable.
-
That's pretty universal advice. However, having heat = huge damage potential for Rachel. You have 100% heat and have the opponent cornered? gg On the defense it's best to block correctly and/or wind out of trouble. Heat is too useful in other situations.

Maybe he means recovery?
