  1. Put me down as confirmed if you are traveling to AI. Time to read up on Arakune lol.
  2. 16-25 people are about the turnout of most AI ranbats. NorCal SVGL ranbats are also averaging about 20 people. While the $30 venue fee might have deterred some people, I don't think it would have made a significant difference. So TBH I think 16 people was pretty solid for a BB major this early, considering the majority of California has not even gotten a chance to try the game out. If you have BB next year when console hits, you'll get a lot more players guaranteed. Speaking from a person who plays BB at AI semi-regularly, there's a lot of spectators for the game here. I have a feeling all they need is a training mode and they'll be playing the game in no time. In closing, if you compare everything to SFIV, the turnout for any game isn't going to be too stellar. Right now the FGC is SFIV, then everything else. That game is a different beast entirely. It's like a varsity baseball team trying to compete ticket sales with the MLB, not gonna end up too well. The BB turnout wasn't that bad compared to the turnout for games such as MvC2 and T6.
  3. 5 bucks...enough for a happy meal =) Support thread.
  4. lol my tolerance might not be too good but why do you want high tolerance for weed? That shit's expensive here in the inland empire lol. dude, i actually haven't tried BB high before, I should come stoned for the next ranbat.
  5. Anyone going 2nite? If not, I'm gonna get high and beat my friend's score in Robot Unicorn Attack.
  6. lol, no. Try coming here Saturday afternoons and see for yourself =)
  7. In defense of AI, while the sticks/buttons are known to crap out during heavy use, the manager is usually there to fix it asap. Personally, I blame Hazamas mashing j. C during their combos :p
  8. Dennys or Norms? Trick question, the answer is they're both a crappy way to waste $8.50. IHOPs please.
  9. lol don't you niggas need some off time after WCW? Oh well, 11th sounds good. Is there a reason why ranbats are never on Saturdays? 17th and 24th are available.
  10. When will Psyduck evolve into Golduck already.
  11. The next singles ranbat is on the 18th? Isn't there a SFIV ranbat the same day?
  12. From what I understand of the Arcadia rankings, they're total bullshit and only take their data from a small amount of arcades. Here's the real rankings SFIV is definitely S tier in terms of numbers and is way ahead of everyone else Games like BBCS, GGAC, AH3, Melty Blood, VF5R, and Tekken 6 are all fairly popular and have relatively the same population. Everyone's tied for A tier here. And then there's dead games like Daemon Bride and TvC.
  13. It's not that hard to commentate Blazblue, especially when Grand Final is Bang vs Bang o_O
  14. This is getting to be a pretty played out meme. Kinda like how Tron just keeps blabbering on about his ladies. You might want to bring a hooker to AI Tron, ZONG's Arakune is pretty legit lol
  15. 10 players, damn, that's a shame, but considering the majority of Cali has not gotten a chance to try out the game I'm not surprised.
  16. oh yea this is goal is to break the D button with my mashing.
  17. Start doing 66 right before Noel finishes her 214A throw animation, then immediately do a 2b. If you want, you can just forget about doing the dash 2b and just do a regular one. You miss out on an extra 6C, 22B, and 22C, but honestly it's only 300 extra damage.
  18. huh? I thought it was two cabs to the right of the MBAA machine. At least it was there a week ago lol...
  19. Heads up, the BB machine in the back of AI has 25 cent continues.
  20. Not necessarily Hellmonkey, doing the haida loop on Carl, Ragna, Litchi, etc, are all very distance specific. Sometimes it's best to just go straight into your D combo, or better yet go straight into 5D, 2D, 623D, 66C, J.D , 6D, d. 6B, d. 5C, 236 D (about 4400 if you landed a 3C without proation) Some character's I don't even find worth doing at all. Hakumen, for instance, is easy to do it on, but you can't really squeeze that many reps into it before he gets pushed back too far. Why not just go straight into the 4400 drive bnb? The character's that are really worth doing it on is Tager, Bang, and Jin to be honest. I'm still testing it on Arakune, because the haida loop works surprisingly well on his strange hitbox. I have squeezed a lot of reps on Rachel and Ragna too, but once again it's really distance specific for those two characters. A good haida should carry them all the way to the corner, and do about 4.8k meterless (assuming you do 22BC each rep instead of 22C).
  21. This MU is 6-4 in Tager's favor I believe. It's an uphill battle, but really as a Noel player you should be use to that by now. 5D going through sledge helps a lot. Also, if you see that the Tager likes to 5A or 2A after sledging, you can 4D it for a fatal counter combo. As for pressuring, 5B and IAD dashes are my favorite tools. IAD counters backdash happy Tager's pretty handily. 5B counts as a physical normal so he can't sledge through it. If he gadget fingers you I just mash the crap out of 5A and it usually beats everything but his distortion dire. For his magnetic bullet I try and stay out of its range. If the Tager whiffs it it's a free sweep into haido loop. Try and master the haida loop (and on Tager it's not very hard), it not only does monstrous damage, but it carries Tager all the way to the corner. The corner is where Noel really shines.
  22. So I'm assuming this is the official AI thread lol... GGs to all that were there today. I was the default color Noel (in fact I think I was the only Noel). I gotta think of an anti-Bang strat before the next ranbat lol =/
  23. Updated MU section with Ragna and Jin info.
  24. Is Chris Hansen gonna have to choke a bitch?
