  1. Minor thing: A cornered Arakune spitting curse at you is baiting you, as to why he thinks he's cornered I have no idea...
  2. That's actually good though since hardly anyone expects a double hop forward to close the gap when most use 623A to get in.
  3. What I meant was normals that link from jump in, like jC>2C or normals that cancel into specials or TKs (low jump specials like 2149B), basically stuff that's air to ground or ground to air that doesn't combo normally. 3C doesn't combo with much unless you delay 236A and hope it links.
  4. A few things mix in to throws if your willing to take the risk and they don't expect it (just watch out for push-outs): 6A>step>Throw>whatever 5A>Throw>whatever Jump-in jB>Throw>whatever (in air) 214B>jc>Throw>jC as you land? Throws give almost a star and can give you some combo control and direction change if you need to get into a corner. Note that 6BC Throw is easier to combo with, but 4BC Throw gives more meter.
  5. I get caught on Bang's D nail shurikens on floor bounce, any ideas on how to escape those?
  6. Night of Knives takes place inbetween the interval of time when Justice was sealed after the Crusades and the 2nd recruitment tournament. So somewhere between 2175-2180. 2180 is the year GG takes place. It has nothing to do with the alternate timeline.
  7. How come you didn't add me yet to your gamertag?

  8. Question...where you live? If you aren't too far from Wisconsin, I'll play you on BB.

  9. So the story goes that their relationship was that of Zato-1 being obsessive/abusive and possessive of her, and although her feelings for him were that of love, this didn't last long. After the God-Soldier series events (Night of Knives), her desire to live outweighed any orders from the Guild...therefore the next mission she was given by them which just so happened to be a mission in which Zato-1 himself was involved, she sold him and his subordinates on that mission out to the IPF (International Police Force). Zato-1 was imprisoned and his Kinjuu sealed to dormancy. It wasn't until the events prior to the 2nd Sacred Order of Holy Knights Recruitment Tournament (Guilty Gear: The Missing Link) that Testament set Zato-1 free, informing him that the spillage of blood was allowed for this tournament (for the purposes of breaking Justice's blood seal). It was during that tournament that PostWar Administration Bureau managed to keep an eye on Zato-1's movements but were unable to capture him, though they did manage to obtain Ky Kiske's initial combat data for their RK series. Zato-1 managed to finally meet with Millia, but the meeting was short-lived as not only did she manage to defeat him, she fled him, declaring full independence from the Guild. Though he wasn't seriously wounded and managed to even fight the likes of Justice at one point, his power-drunkenness awoke the Kinjuu that had been incubating inside of him. The birth cries of the Kinjuu (Forbidden Beast) itself were what ultimately killed him as it took over every aspect and function of his body, his mind and body could not take the stress. The Kinjuu realizes it has killed its host and names itself Eddie. Realizing it can no longer survive without a host (and also realizing it's given lifespan limitations programmed internally into it along with the predisposition to hunt gears as its natural nemesis), it sets out to find a new host. Dr. Faust has been monitoring him for some time as well. It was shortly thereafter that Venom sets out to find Zato-1 or what remains of him, and during the Gear bounty events (Guilty Gear X: By Your Side G.Gear) he ultimately confirms Zato-1's "death". This is also where Millia makes an attempt to sever all ties to Zato-1, including Eddie himself. It's currently unclear the whereabouts of Eddie or if it died or evolved past the need for a Host or was captured and put in a test tube for study either by the PWAB or That Man...either way we don't know. For a time Venom pursued it in attempt to recover the body at least but that has failed and so he himself tasks himself with the destruction of the Kinjuu (and perhaps Millia's Kinjuu should it come to it). It seems that Venom has been given reign over the Guild with Slayer's blessing, though Venom holds an equally strong grudge against Millia, it's not certain if he will actually pursue her. Slayer has given Millia fair warning that her Kinjuu "Angra" is on the brink of "being born" and what this will do to her body, but we can't say for sure what will happen or has happened during or prior to GG2: Overture events, only that it's possible PWAB is pursuing her, most likely to recover the Kinjuu they implanted in her body (like Zato-1 was given initially).
  10. I like how you think.

  11. 623A will eat pokes and get countered easily, and Tager's command throws will eat anything even Renka if you're too close, so slashing 6C is safest.
  12. Didn't know that, um, so what do you call knockdown state in BB, you can relaunch from it and the longer the combo the easier the tech, but...there are a few untechable off-the-ground setups, or at least Haku's 6B has small floor bounce (counterhit), so what do you call it exactly?
  13. Regarding Leopaldon, about all that is official is that HE is a Gear. Everything else would require the Isuka mook guide from Arcadia I believe.
  14. I'm not sure how many people know this or if it's old, but 236A is OTG-able into either 5B or 2C (lol I said 2H at first) in the corner. Jump cancel either for some nice corner stuff. 3C>...236A>2C> or throw>214B>2C> jc>jB>jc>jB>214B>jc>jC>214C This costs about 6 stars but the throw should help, also note 214B has jump install for one jump. If you run out of stars early, you can end it with: 214B>jc>j2C>jC Also since the rule of Haku's move chains is one move per chain, you can link 5B (and other normals) between specials to reset the rule and continue a combo.
  15. Can someone list all of Haku-men's 2-in-1s, jump-ins links, and special-cancellable normals?
  16. I really hate how useless D counters are against Ragnas DPs in this fight, any tips?
  17. Somehow I'm partially regretting posting that list of Birthdays...but...I'm not gonna read more into it than that...also to my knowledge no two astrologers have ever said the exact same thing regarding sign reading, so I wouldn't trust it per se, except to say it's coincidental at best.
  18. Haku is a mix of Robo Ky and Baiken with just a hint of ABA's trickiness. 623A will get you in close if Arakune decides to play keepaway. 5C works as your fastest anti-bug normal besides your drives. Arakune will most likely try and get you to wiff 6C and punish. Low pokes and anti airs help. His high low high combos are hard to deal with so try keeping him in poke range. A good setup if you have stars is 623AA>41236C>236A it closes in hits low and then the damage comes and you can rep 236A after into knockdown. The main thing though is NOT to IAD in this matchup since bugs will be flying overhead when cursed. Cautious forward hops and 623A and small pokes into OTG games will win this. This method caused a player to ragequit on me so it does work.
  19. Hey guys seeing as I got a PS3 and a JP account, I'd like to know where to get the ad-hoc party update? Can someone tell me where?
  20. lol, the hell would I know??? I prefer replays anyway.

  21. Anyone else having trouble breaking out of the corner with Hakumen? About all I can do are low poke links and slip in the occassional 6A if they let me.
  22. You should add your tag to your profile. It'd be easier to find among the listings.
  23. Hey ES any chance you or your friends playing Blazblue online have PS3 tags for us to play them? Lately that's all we've been talking about here.
  24. I am the Instant Block. I am the Counterhit. I am the Faultless Defense. With Controller in hand shall I reap the spammers and scrubs of this world and cleanse them in the fires of an Astral Finish! I am Mimeblade (PS3)! The end has come!
