  1. Let me ask you guys something...how much would a custom joystick go for that could do multiple systems and USB/Firewire/Bluetooth compatiblility? I've been thinking of trying something that works on multiple consoles but also on PC as well.
  2. I saw this, and didn't get it at first. It really...makes you think.
  3. Why is it misleading and useless... You start a character early on, you learn their ins and outs, you learn their changes, you understand them more...WTF is wrong with that????
  4. Says you. I learned a lot from that experience. Why do people hate anything I say?
  5. 1. Yes, Johnny's very hard without Gold stats. 2. Dunno about selling, but www.guiltygear.ru has scans of it in their downloads section.

  6. That's not my fault. Survival mode in GGXXAC doesn't have stat boosts, you should know that.

  7. If you ask me...and you guys can laugh all you want, but it actually might be worth looking in to: Play GG...Play GGX...Play GGXX...Play #R...Play Isuka...Play Slash...and THEN play GGXXAC+ (in that order). Just pick a character from the series and just TRY to stick with them as you try each game in the series and watch the changes made, you may learn more than you bargained for.
  8. Well, if this ain't a work of art, I dunno what is...:
  9. I'm seriously not sure, but like I said, Testament was the first...Venom was actually dealing with Testament by kidnapping a girl who was a mutual friend of Dizzy's. Read it all here: http://www.mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/Drama_CD_Translations/GGXDrama_Disc2.txt Also, regarding that whole tirade in the animated clips, I doubt that's official. Though if you want details regarding conversations, you can read that here: http://www.mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/guilty_gear_x_plus_story.txt In all honesty, me and Raging Tofu are sorting out what parts of GGX+ turned out to be Canon and transferred to GGXX...and what parts turned into Canon there and turned into AC+ and so on.
  10. Testament is the first "known" according to the GGX Drama CD (second being Venom indirectly due to a hostage situation) and then later Faust. It's because of Testament that Dizzy has such a positive outlook, so much so he used Seventh Sign to calm her down from one of her berserker moments. Testament decides to protect her, until the whole bounty thing settles down. This is when the GGX Storyline starts up. As to who got to her first...officially Sol got past Testament and met her first, then spared her for various reasons, one of them being her asking this statement: Ky would be the second to meet her, and was part of the mitigation process that led to the big coverup between Jam, Johnny and the IPF's records (keeping PWAB out of the loop). One week later in GGXX there would be a big scuffle between Johnny and Testament to see who was truly worthy of protecting Dizzy. Johnny won, officially. Also noteworthy, the "Devil's Forest" is on the outskirts of where Kliff Undersn's grave is located. As of now, Dizzy is periodically visiting Ky on her days off, in order to research IPF's database for anything resembling Dizzy's "parents".
  11. "Non-Cauchian" refers to the scientist Augustin Louis Cauchy, "Geodesic" is a math term for a Dome or sphere of space. "Causality" is just another fancy word for "fate" or "sequence of events". (Read Berserk manga, you'll understand). I'm sure Suzaku could explain it better than I could...basically Justice is asking how Axl was able to compress his "time jump static energy" into a teeny tiny little sphere so that it only influences him and not anyone else...though that seems to have changed in recent events with Jam/Robo-Ky's...
  12. If you're gonna help, Zazz, don't be a biased fanboy about it. :P Anyways, done, and done... http://mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/GGXXACP_Win_Quotes.txt I'll compare older quotes to the latest ones later. I'm bushed.
  13. I just wish we could get more camera shots of it. I wanna see Necro in more detail.
  14. I was speaking in theoreticals. Ideally you do the following: Equips: --Tension Increase/Chaos RC/Yellow RC --Health Regenerate/Vampire Form --Fire Attack/Thunder Attack/Sheer Heart Attack/May's Fist Stats: --Max Attack --Max Defense (If you're not good at playing max this first, or get Guard Beat) --Max Start Tension (Ideally you do this early as possible). --Near Max Tension Rate --Jump +2 (for nimble characters who emphasize air combos Ky/I-no/Johnny/Order-Sol/Justice/Chipp greatly benefit) --Airdash +2 (for Dizzy/Millia players) Special Cases: --Baiken should get Soul of Zepp, ideally --Anyone who gets Berserk should have Health Regenerate equipped FIRST. --Limit Break should be avoided unless you're confident you can avoid getting hit most of the time (like Justice). --Only use Bonus Up/Experience Up/Hunter Saving if you're not good at getting a steady combo going (Slayer/Faust users).
  15. It might be that, but I can't leave to chance the suspicion that this game has localization issues.
  16. Absolute max "allowed" in Survival for most stats is Level 15, I believe. Max settings allowed for the game is 20 (Extra Menu only). You can go past the "absolute max" several ways, since most special abilities stack. Sheer Heart Attack Lightning/Flame Attack (ideally Sol/Ky would use these) Berserker Limit Break (good luck using this one, you can't block and enemies deal insane amounts of damage to you if they hit) These three can potentially ruin any Gold/Black character's day, if you have the Tension to do so. I've used EX Sol's Savage Fang "once" on most Blacks with Flame Attack+Sheer Heart Attack+Max Attack stat. The AI seldom ever has a counter for a "start-of-the-duel" Overdrive. Only exceptions would be Johnny, Justice, and Slayer and only rarely.
  17. I'm just wondering what all I would need. I've got a PSP, a USB Cable, an Ethernet cable, I have no clue about WiFi routers (since I live away from home). I'd like to know what would be needed if, say I obtained a PS3. Thanks ahead of time.
  18. Dengeki Maou I think it was...
  19. Just a side mention, but I'm slowly-but-surely working on Accent Core + win quotes: http://www.mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/GGXXACP_Win_Quotes.txt These are the official ones from the game, and there are a few things I'd like to mention regarding them: --I'm calling shenanigans on some of the quotes as several seem to be recycled from older GG games, yet some appear to be new...what's up with that??? (I need to do a comparison and get some of the Japanese arcade quotes to know for sure.) I wish Aksys could help me confirm this or not. --There were a few "official typos" in some of the win quotes along with grammatical errors, so in this little FAQ I fixed them a bit. No big changes to notice though. I'll be listing more later, and then compiling all the stuff together in one big FAQ dedicated to Winquotes. Note that Winquotes are DIFFERENT from In-battle Quotes in that they are printed text and not sound test grunts and voice samples. They are also different from Story Mode quotes because they can only be found in Arcade Mode...nowhere else.
  20. Dark Dizzy...URLS PLZ, not the pics themselves unless you only have one. @Danceljoy: Wow...who made it?
  21. Actually that's not the one, the one that has Ky's concept art in it.
  22. "Let's Rock!", "Darkside!", and "Let's Enjoy a Great Showtime!" are all things the announcer says during Survival mode at varying intervals. "Let's Rock" is default Level up voice at the start..."Darkside" is right after you've beaten all the Black EX characters and then go on to fight nothing but Black characters and later Golds mixed in. "Let's Enjoy a Great Showtime!" starts being said after you beat Gold Johnny (with good reason, one Mist Finer and you're done), I think he's at Level 920...you should read my Survival mode FAQ. http://www.mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/ACPlus_Survival_Mode_FAQ.txt

  23. I'm with you. I live in Wisconsin, which is pretty much backwoods. Online would be the only solution at this point, though people might be concerned about input lag and frame buffers. And speaking of gaps...you should check out the Competition Map thread I made in the Match Finder forum. It might help you find some locals.

  24. Thanks for the feedback. I'm not the only one who knows a lot about GG if you have questions. Raging Tofu and Suzaku are both knowledgeable if you want to ask something.
