  1. Thought I'd inform you Bio, most of my stuff can now be found here: http://www.scribd.com/Mimeblade Also, since Megaupload is gone, if anyone wants GG Drama CDs and the like, we might have to make a torrent or something.
  2. And this, ladies and gents, is why localization in general is better kept as text rather than dub. At least the fighting voices haven't changed that much.
  3. Something I'm kinda hoping for: a normal display mode for non-HD TVs. :D Yeah I know, blessing in disguise and all that...but still. I haven't gotten an HD TV for BlazBlue yet, so I'd appreciate something like this coming down the pipe. And while I'm at it...here's hoping for Dreamcast-quality sprites and sounds.
  4. Keep at it, sir, you have a long road ahead to programming. Don't slack off on animations just because you aren't interested in them. Be cohesive, be consistent, and bear in mind people need to understand what the hell is going on in the games you create.
  5. I've gotten an RQ penalty while playing H&H once, and I ended my game normally...I think something is wrong with how the post-game loads up after a match.
  6. See the problem is, most of Capcom's demographic is playing Call of Duty when they aren't playing SSFIVAE or UMvC3, so "modern graphics" is the expectation. Anything less is "animu fighting game" to this demographic. ....or should I say, "dumbographic"...?
  7. I figured I'd get the ball rolling since we're being hopeful about all the changes that could happen, and while this may lead to dispute between fans and those who intimately know the game's older systems, it's best to keep that sorta thing in a topic such as this. And since I made the topic, I'll put my list of hopefuls here: System: GG Generations GG Mode (Faster Movement, Kakusei Mode, Dead Angles, Jump Cancel everything, Low Airdashes, Chargeable Specials, Charge Cancelling, Instant Kill "duelling", Instant Kill Cancelling, Breaker Dashing, Opponents get Green Burst in AC+ mode, Bursting Banned, Roman Cancels Banned, Forcebreaks Banned, Force Roman Cancels Banned, Classic GG Music Enabled) GGX+ Mode (Normal Movement, OTG combos, Dead Angles, Roman Cancels, FRCs banned, Forcebreaks Banned, Bursting Banned, Faultless Defense Cancelling, Faultless Defense Dash Braking, *Normal* Instant Kill Attack Meter, new moves and revisions from X or X+, Classic GGX+ Music Enabled) GGXX Mode (Normal Movement, Dead Angles, Roman Cancels, Force Roman Cancels, Forcebreaks Banned, Psyche Burst, FD Cancelling, FD Brake, Normal IK Meter, new moves and revisions from XX) #Reload Mode (Normal Movement, Dead Angles, Roman Cancels, Force Roman Cancels, Forcebreaks Banned, Psyche Burst, FD Cancelling, FD Brake, Normal IK Meter, new moves and revisions from #R) Slash Mode (Normal Movement, Dead Angles, Roman Cancels, Force Roman Cancels, Forcebreaks Banned, Psyche Burst, FD Cancelling, FD Brake, Normal IK Meter, new moves and revisions from Slash) AC Mode (Normal Movement, Dead Angles, Slashback, RCs, FRCs, Forcebreaks Enabled, Burst, FD Cancel, FD Brake, Normal IK System, Wall Stick/Floor Slide, new moves and revisions from Accent Core) AC+ Mode (Normal Movement, Dead Angles, Slashback, RCs, FRCs, Forcebreaks, Burst, FD Cancel, FD Brake, Normal IK System, Wall Stick/Floor Slide, new moves and revisions from Accent Core Plus) GG2 Overture Mode (Normal Movement, Short Dashing (like a short hop), Side-step, Blast Drive (Dash Cancelling a normal, drains Tension on use), Blast Drift (Dashing behind the opponent from Blast Drive), Modern Cancel (replaces RCs/FRCs/YRCs/Chaos RCs), Cyclone Blast (Replaces Psyche Burst, uses Tension instead), Power Attacks (Normals can be charged/delayed), Specials cost Tension on use, Tension Regenerates over time, new moves and revisions from Overture, special music from Overture) Extras: System Voices GG Voice GGX+ Voice GGXX Voice GGXXAC Voice GG2 Voice DLC Voices (like the VAs themselves like in BlazBlue) Extras: Stages Stages from GG Stages from GGX+ Stages from GGXX#R (Including Korean #R) Stages from Slash Stages from AC+ Extras: Extra Fighting Modes EX Mode (for everyone including Kliff and Justice, compatible with GG Generations) Isuka Mode (1-4 players online/offline, players can join/leave at any time if you turn on the online option) Boost Mode (simplified field combat system similar to GG Judgement 1-4 players online, players can join/leave at any time if you turn on the online option) Dust Striker Mode (platforming, 1-4 players online, players can join/leave at any time if you turn on the online option) Darkside Mode (everyone, Infinite Tension, compatible with GG Gens + EX Mode but only in non-ranked matches) Gold Mode (everyone, includes special 'Kakusei moves', compatible with GG Gens + EX Mode but only in non-ranked matches) Kakusei Mode (similar to Gold Mode but removes Damage Modifiers to more closely resemble Unlimited Characters in BlazBlue matchups) Online Matching (similar to how BlazBlue has things set up, including options to ban extra modes when creating a Lobby, and text/mic chat options) 3-on-3 Online Matching (similar to BlazBlue Lobby, including options to ban extra modes when making a lobby, and mic/text chat options) Ranked Matching (standard rules that boosts a rank card) Tournament Match (online tournament setup once a week or something) 3-on-3 Ranked Match (standard rules for 3-on-3) Anyways, that's my wishlist...though it's a big one and a tad unreasonable, it's just to springboard this topic, since I know lots of people hope this game gets revised a lot from individual characters all the way to systems and GG Gens.
  8. Let's not turn this topic into one huge wish-list of rebalances, guys. If you want to talk about that, go make a separate topic for it. Regardless of what they plan to do, I think it's more logical to keep things as they are for the most part. I doubt many changes or extras will happen anyway. Heck, I'm not even sure Story Mode will even be included. I do hope they keep the 3-on-3 setup though, that was fun, since characters keep Tension from previous matches.
  9. Here are my thoughts: 1. ArcSys is smarter than that, they allow most of their game systems to swap to "earlier versions" of a game for various reasons. BlazBlue is proof of this. So even if you don't like the revisions they make, you can always swap to vanilla AC+. 2. Chances are if revisions happen they'll mostly happen to Kliff and Justice and maybe Zappa for consistency purposes with vanilla Accent Core (which was the previous standard).
  10. If they ever made EX Mode for Justice and Kliff, that would be like Dividing by Zero. :D
  11. Regarding all that whole "mainstream players not getting it" thing...the people who cut their teeth on BlazBlue (i.e. CT or CS was their first fighter) would probably get into Guilty Gear a bit easier than anyone from the Street Fighter or MvC or Tekken crowds. Idiots will eventually call this an "anime fighter" and underestimate it anyway. But at least now more players can pick it up and learn it better instead of gaming in isolation (like I've had to do).
  12. ....I was holding off on getting 3rd Strike, Arcana Heart 3, and Battle Fantasia...guess I got something to look forward to on PSN. :D
  13. 1. Throw spam is dumb in any fighting game, but moreso in Capcom fighting games. 2. lol @ fighting in a Zero-Gravity Space Station...is that even possible????? 3. I hope to God there are no broken Gem setups like UMvC3's FingFangFoom deck in Heroes & Heralds. 4. They still using six-button layout for PS3? Ugh...
  14. Not necessarily. EX Characters are similar to Slash/Bust from Samurai Showdown 4, which are generally accepted for matchups. As far as I'm aware, even EX characters get rebalanced to some degree though most have gimmick leftovers from Slash and #R to begin with so it's not that big a deal. I do know EX Slayer and EX Testament could use a tweak...not sure about the rest. Kliff I know can't take much damage, probably weaker than Chipp, but if they nerfed his 6P and a few other things, he'd be alright. Justice I'm not so sure...maybe a few changes in her hitboxes or active frames.
  15. If they rebalance Kliff and Justice, I will definitely be happy. Keep in mind though, AC+ GG Gens isn't the same as Slash GG Gens. Slash Gens let you play as #R, I'm not sure they'll go that far. Here's hoping they do though. GG Mode GGX Robo-Ky (complete with hunch and stutters) would be awesomesauce.
  16. Here's hoping Zalsalamel is a DLC char, then...I wanna make Testament. :D
  17. I still want this game...sigh...
  18. I've been seeing these types pop up online a lot lately. Their parents need to beat them with an iron fist or something... Also, weird question but...assuming there ARE DLC characters...do you think their fighting styles will be added to CaS? That'd be pretty sweet if it were true.
  19. What I'm hoping doesn't happen, is that they use the Gem System and make it as broken as Heroes & Heralds in UMvC3.
  20. Don't get mad about what I said regarding SCV...it was just a summary of all your previous statements. Also, as for myself...I'm what you call an isolated gamer, so I don't get to play others that often except online or if I take my whole friggan console to Chicago, which is a pain to do. What I look for in a game, is a stable enough and balanced enough system, coupled by enough content to be enjoyable for at least a few months...playable or replayable. So far the only games that have that "spark" of replayability for me are Dissidia Duodecim, BBCS, and Guilty Gear. I'm not the type to just casually learn a game, I'm a completist, so I like to beat the crap out of it and have fun while I'm doing such. And while I'm not the best or most skilled fighter offline or online, I do like to learn a few things at my own pace. I didn't make much progress with SCIV which overwhelmed me with it's ridiculous guest A.I. (remember fighting Apprentice anyone?). The cost of unlocking things was also a pain, half of the items weren't nearly as versatile as what you got in Broken Destiny (despite BD's graphical limitations). So I was really looking forward to a solid CaS mode to compensate for how boring I felt the rest of the cast was. Even if Seung Mina or Kilik or Sophitia aren't in the game like they traditionally used to be, I was hoping I could still use their fighting styles in CaS...and I'm still hoping to make a female Nightmare among other things, complete with SC2 helmet and red hair. To say nothing of Rock or Astaroth or Zalsalamel's fighting styles (if they're even useable in this game). Main point being, is this worth $60 or should I wait for a used or price drop? I'm a poor man, you know.
  21. ...............Okay so, here's my findings: 1. SCV isn't worth $60 due to trashy story, trashy CaS system + items...and I'm better off just playing SCIV and Broken Destiny for now....ugh. 2. UMvC3 Heroes + Heralds mode is trash due to the abuse of ranked resets and poor matching system and lame booster players who show up at the last second of every campaign, impossible to win if you suck game, no incentive if you lose game, and pretty much overall just plain crap. I might as well get the H Colors as DLC at this rate. 3. With the way Crapcom designs games on top of the fact everyone is saying the Gem System will be crap, SFxT doesn't look all that appetising EITHER... 4. It feels like the only fighting game worth getting is BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend, despite me owning CS2 on multiple systems. 5. Might as well get KOFXIII since I hear it's better than anything out recently.
  22. I can't really say for sure based on people's responses but...is CAS worth getting SC5 over? Or should I pass? (I'm only interested in that, lol).
  23. I have callouses on my thumb joints like I'm one of those Chinese Monks from the Himelayas, lol. My thumbs aren't big big, but they're boney and flexible. I can catch a basketball with the back of my hands (you don't wanna see that). As for inputs, I've done everything from Guile's Flashkick super to Geese Howard's Raging Storm and Iron Tager's 1080+D. I think the only time I have a hard time doing inputs is during negative edge moves, like Zero's Buster combos or stuff for Eddie, Arakune, and Carl...I can do a few things, but I drop a lot.
  24. I just thought of something...Tekken 3's King had crazy throw loops IIRC...is that gonna be in this?
