  5. I like the second one more than the first one- but I prefer instrumentals over vocals, so I'm a little biased. I also think Judgment has an awesome soundtrack, and if you can't decide, you should look into some more tracks from it before you make a decision.

I've been found out! *Silent clicking noise* In seriousness, if you're expecting someone's mashing DP, just stop your blockstring. The purpose of a blockstring is to open your opponent up, or set them up to be opened up, right? Well, if you end the blockstring early (jump canceling being the preferable means) and just block, your opponent will whiff their DP and open themselves up to you. So your blockstring still served its purpose, even though you didn't "finish it" per se.
  8. I made a proof of concept video regarding it. Watch on Youtube for annotations 'n stuff. Basically, you can just allow the barrel to hit you seven times, get pushed out of the way, and then the next time the barrel hits you it'll only be one hit. I used it to combo B Brutal Impact -> A Brutal Impact.
  9. Aw, that's a little disappointing. At least the barrel doesn't go away after a certain distance. If whatever you're trying to do with it works in the corner, you can just start the barrel in the corner opposite of the one you want to do the combo in, run towards the other corner, and do the combo from there. The fact that you can press direction + reset and start in that corner in P4A makes things even easier/less time consuming, considering combos like that are difficult to get on the first try. And yeah, I should have figured as much. :P Do you think you might be able to Standing C -> A Brutal Impact? That remaining 50 Heat + Burst is taunting me. XD
  10. Yeah, definitely. I think we'll be seeing quite a few Teddie items over the course of this game's combo videos, haha. Those videos are awesome, and scary. Have you looked into doing a Dash 5A at the end of the last one? You might be able to get in a 5AA -> Challenge Authority from it, depending on the proration (which I have no idea of whatsoever).
  11. MTNDPs! I approve. After some more thought, I think getting counter hit by something mid-combo (likely one of Teddie's items) might make five possible. But that sounds haaaaaaaard. XD
  12. I see your 3 DPs with Yu, Uri, and raise you... Uses the same idea as yours, only with a different starter to squeeze another in, a OMB, and a different ender to get the most damage (because the opponent can tech during a finisher Ziodyne after this combo). I honestly don't think five is possible... But I'll keep trying. :3
  13. Yu's DP "goes through" Kanji's command grab, in the sense that Kanji's invincibility frames kick in so the move passes right through him. Then I land on the other side and he gets a chance at a counter command grab, which is even worse.

I'll be bringing Eireprince, MrMinionMan, and trettree up this Saturday to MTN. Mustangs only have four seats- but honestly, with the kind of space the interior has, it might as well just be a two person car. Things can get uncomfortable when people have to sit in the back seat. :/ Maybe you can g-ram could ride up together? EDIT: OH. You're talking about Fight Night.   15. Damn, I haven't even scratched the surface with Yu combos yet. The most I know how to do is like, 5K. I'm gonna have to step up my game. I mentioned it before, but it doesn't bother me in the least that Yu's DP isn't OMC/OMB'able. The fact that it's Super Cancelable means that many attempts to try punishing it is a 50/50. And because Ziodyne is OMC'able, if Yu DP's and Ziodynes but his opponent blocks both, he can OMC and get a mix-up off them (assuming his opponent is on the ground, of course). CUCS is so legit. I can't wait to figure out how to get it consistently. It seems like it's even possible to get it against some characters' cross-up specials. I know for a fact that you can get it on Teddie's EX spinny move (no idea what it's called, lol). Also, fun fact about Cross Slash is that it's not OMB'able on hit, but it IS on block. I think. That, or the recovery is so fast I just Max Bursted once it was finished. XD Give Yuri fifteen minutes with a character, and he'll find whatever it is you're looking for. Seriously, that's awesome. I jelly. :O Thanks for doing that for me! There are a few things you can do. Keep in mind that Paralysis doesn't restrict Evasive Action or Short Hops. You can use the former to escape the corner, or the latter to prevent him from command grabbing you on wakeup. Some characters can wake up and DP his DP, but I'm not too sure on the specifics of that. I'd say that one of Yosuke's best options, if you're not afraid of taking a risk, is using his Whirlwind super after a neutral tech. If I'm correct in my assumptions, it should go through pretty much anything he uses. And even if he blocks it, you might be able to use it to put some distance between the two of you given your maneuverability during the Super (unless Paralysis restricts your movement on that- again, I'm not too sure. Probably something to be taken to the lab for).

  17. Yeah, KoF is still in the schedule. Times 'n stuff are in the first post. Poor Skullgirls though, lol. I really think the announcement of the patch and how long it's taken to get it out have been a major factor in its seemingly dying interest. :/ THE PROUDEST. You and Graham will have to get some Yukiko mirrors in some time. Those seem like they'd be a lot of fun. And as for the Sanwa vs. Seimitsu thing, Sanwa buttons are supposed to be easier to press, and Seimitsu buttons are supposed to be harder to press. That means that Sanwa buttons are easier to press accidentally, but Seimitsu buttons are harder to press on purpose. It's mostly a matter of preference though.
  18. Lol, WOW. I love how Lord Knight called him out on his bullshit "2 frame overheads," so the guy bans him. And right after that, some other guy calls him out on banning someone for calling him out on his bullshit, so the guy kicks HIM. The legitimacy of his retorts boils down to "k thx you retard." And the fact that he doesn't know Guard Cancel (P4A's version of Dead Angle/Counter Assault) and complains about "having to block for 10 seconds without being able to do anything" (at which point, if he really couldn't have done anything, Guard Bonus would have kicked in to compensate) implies to me that he really doesn't know anything about the game whatsoever. You're absolutely right. What a butthurt child. Thank god he DOESN'T decide what games get played at EVO.

  20. I was thinking about doing a list of shout-outs, but then I realized I don't think I can do two weeks of shoutouts in a row. So I'm just gonna abbreviate by saying: ^These. Seriously, it was great to see the diversity and solidity of everyone's characters and playing styles, despite the game being out for less than a week. Tad gets my undying gratitude for setting this up, and for setting it up in Cookeville of all places. I know a lot of people made a drive to get here, especially Tad. Thanks a ton for making this possible Tad, and I'm really sorry we didn't get a chance to play Gear. I finished up with Naimat and was gonna ask you if you wanted to play some, but you were passed out on the bed and I didn't wanna bother you. We'll play at MTN fo' sho'. And thanks to everyone who showed up. I'd love for this kind of thing to happen more often, even if it's not five minutes from my house. :P
  21. This is nothing to worry about. P4A has a guard bonus just like BB does. Basically, if you're kept in blockstun for six seconds or more, your character will start instant blocking everything automatically until you're put out of blockstun. That means free Heat for as long as she keeps spamming it. Of course, you could always just Instant Block the jC, or Counter Assault/Dead Angle/whatever-P4A-calls-it for 50 Heat if you're not feeling confident with your timing.
  22. Nobody is stepping out of line when they say they don't want CS1 Litchi stuff in any game. It's not a matter of "hating making reads" with her. It's a matter of "oh, so you just put me in a combo? Okay then, go ahead and get 50+ meter to do a Super that makes the next three to four mix-ups you do safe, all of which you can hit confirm into to get another ridiculous amount of meter and likely do another Super once you're done, and none of which I can Burst/DP out of." Chie's Meteors can be easily back/airdashed if she uses them to approach you, and many characters have Supers they can use after neutral tech to punish her if she uses them on her opponent's wakeup and gets too aggressive. Yu's Ziodyne can be airblocked if he uses it outside your neutral tech (which nullifies any chance of a mix-up using it), and even if he Rapid Cancels it to try to score a mix-up, the most he can get with 100 meter off it is about 1K. And yes, Kanji is a grappler character. But yeah, Elizabeth is nowhere NEAR CT Nu level, lol.
  23. That background is what you see when Blazblue can't find whatever stage you selected. Considering P4A was probably started using BB's engine, it's not surprising to see it default to that background whenever something goes wrong with the one chosen. I wonder if that means the two use similar background files, and if the two are interchangeable? YES. As long as they aren't against me. :3c
  24. Good games to the MTNG room. I feel like I grasped a lot tonight, even if the majority of my wins were kinda dumb, haha. Better watch out for when I get mah combos down! EDIT: P.S. Fuck Kanji and his command grab for beating out my Awakening Super.
