  1. Probably. But at the same time, they have a giant nail in the face and you're standing over them in your underwear with fireworks going off in the background, all in remembrance of your great deeds of justice. So, I think it's okay to be called a tier whore in that sense. $20 says people will still avoid my Lambda tag because they can't figure why they keep impaling themselves on my D swords.
  2. I will say that the only thing I am disappointed in is that Lambda doesn't have a new Distortion Drive. I hope you enjoy setting people on fire with a clone of yourself, Tsuuna.
  3. So it'll start like this combo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m05cwZxYJk0&feature=related#t=29s ?
  4. Read the forum before posting. That's my best advice.
  5. Is the 4B 2nd hit the only thing that's hitting? Like, you can't use this combo if both hits of 4B connect?
  6. D swords cause almost no block or hit stun anymore. If you 5DD > 4DD, they could easily forward dash and put you in a world of hurt. However, not everyone has godly reactions, so yes, 5DD > 4DD is still a mix up option, but not anywhere near as strong as it was in CT. Since the 2nd hit on 5DD no longer causes hit stun, 4DD will not combo, but they have the same start time as CT (I think...). There are better options than using 4DD though. With Lambda, you have to mix it up. You may have to 5DD > saw blade or 5D(one sword) > 214D (or D~C depending distance). If you develop a pattern and your opponent picks up on it, you could face serious damage. Of course, the things I listed above do not combo. You would use them as pokes or when the opponent blocks your 5Ds. All dependent on how far they are. Hell, I've seen a lot of Lambda's use 5DD > 236C because the opponent thought they would 214D or 236D. Mix ups and keeping the opponent guessing. Same concept applies for every character. This is at least how I would be playing Lambda, since I use a similar style with Nu already.
  7. It's kind of like using 5B to connect 623D after you finish a 623C 236C 236C. It adjusts the spacing so that you can finish/start the combo. I might be the only person who calls them spacers. I'll look through some Tsubaki videos for a reference.

  8. I'm not sure how specific I want to get with Ragna, since I'm mostly using him to get a better feel in melee for Nu, Haku and Tsubaki. I'm already pretty good with Hit confirming, but just remembering what combos into what is always the first learning step. If you've watched Tsubaki, you know her 2C is her AA, and that she can combo off that pretty easily. I don't have a reference on hand, but she sometimes will do a spacer move like 2C > 5B > (I think a small dash) 2C > air juggle. Does Ragna have anything like this?

  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhrAB8WMsx0 I'm sure you've seen it, but I'm sure we can all learn something from this.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhrAB8WMsx0 Instructional video on getting better with Haku/Ragna. It was very helpful.
  11. Mid tier? More like win tier, amirite?
  12. let's get some rounds in if you aren't busy

  13. I've fought you a couple times in Ranked I believe with my Nu. If I remember you had a pretty solid offensive, so do you mind if I ask for some Ragna tips on keeping pressure? I'm picking him up so I can learn Tsubaki faster when CS hits.

  14. Also just encountered that guy in ranked. Beat him pretty easily with my Nu. As I said. Predictable defense because he's always trying to attack.

  15. Also get online. I need practice.

  16. I just fought Nati2alt06 with my haku. he used carl and litchi... I'm so glad Haku is getting a freakin 4C poke in CS. That was honestly super retarded fights. I really don't know if the guy is any good. If it was my Nu, I could prolly of destroyed him. He basically always had an attack on the screen going, and his defense was pretty predictable. I guess that's anti-Haku tactics though. After landing a few counters he stopped being retarded for a while, but went back at it.

  17. I was destroying that guy with my Nu. I almost beat him but they told us to stop =/ He was completely new to the idea of a melee Nu it seemed. Even when he back dashed on wake ups, it was easy to work around if I did a simple cross up instead of looking like a tard and taking a 360. Also, I'm working a bit on my Ragna now so I can get the feel of Tsubaki faster. Tips or suggestions? Haku's pressure game is completely different than this.

  18. naw, i went all rounds with him but i screwed up and got in a reset because barrier blocking made me do a jB and he got a counter hit

  19. http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html Use this instead.
  20. I get avoided because of my Nu tag. I know we're not pro players, but I would label us around 'experts'. Still, you think people would grow up eventually and realize that Nu is part of the game, learn to fight her.

  21. You got em! Nu is nothing compared to Adam Arcli- I mean Tager.

  22. I only got to play like 4 people in ranked, and everyone else avoided me. I called it a night after that since it got annoying. I can never get any solid practice in ranked anymore =/ Kauferus Ragna is improving though. I was a bit of a dick with Act Pulsar though, I will admit =p He's getting the aggressive side down, but he could use a little work on defensive and inching up against Nu.

  23. I think the only things that got their jump cancel removed were the D swords, so 2C should still work since it is still a combo to 2C > jC j2C > jC j2C > j214D
