  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zbs1bKl6Fow#t=8m30s wicked combo from Haku for the win. Most interesting how it linked.
  2. Yeah, I saw a Haku in CS use the 4C poke to get an extra hit after the Super Counter. I'm not sure how much more you can tack onto that Counter for damage. It's already super strong, I could only imagine it not being too worth it to try to continue it much more. Work on that corner combo. I've been working on my 6k corner combo more often lately. I keep screwing up on it in matches though. I'm an art major, as in graphics and drawing. Mostly deal with photoshop and coral painter.

  3. I think SkinReaperW and MasanexAmaha. I forgot who was level what. Either way, just sigh. I hate how very mediocre Nu players can put up a fight against an expert Nu. I'm not pro, but I'm definitely an expert Nu.

  4. Good point. But I thought damage scaling only starts taking place the moment the first hit actually lands? If they block my 6B > 5C, I normally go for 4B at least once a match. They tend to go low to block a sweep, but I guess it is safer to 5C > 2C > TK saber. It's just that if 4B yields a hit, in CT it's an easy 2.5-3k combo.
  5. I feel like vomiting now... I just met 2 online Nu's in a player match who only knew to use 2C and D swords. Every wake up they'd use 2C. Sadly, being online, my 2A and shit didnt work and they'd somehow get the 11 frame start up of 2C inbetween my 5As. I fought them with my Haku first and tried to tell them to stop 2C spamming but they're like "whats 2C mean?" I... almost cried a little. The fact they were level 54 and 69 =/

  6. So far in every video I've watched of Lambda, I've never once seen anyone 5C mash > 4B yet. Was this removed? It's a valid link and mix up option in CT, although it's normally only fully safe if you have 50 meter to RC if they adjust to block it properly. So, can anyone confirm if 4B still links from 5C?
  7. The reversal super is pretty comical when the person tries to grab. It's almost like a Sparta kick into a well of a million swords. It's probably best to just jC > 41236C since it'll be a counter hit and should work. If not, then you know a million other combos to work from =p

  8. We got a Dave and Buster's here, but there's no fighting games. It's fucking lame. Not a single one. I'd try to at least start with a SF and BB machine. If there gets a crowd, I'd buy into a Tekken, along with other suggestions. I'm not sure how big of an area I would invest in, but hell, buying a 360 and a HD tv is usually cheaper than buying a arcade cabinet. I welcome any ideas you'd have toward this though. I've been asking my co-workers and friends, but I'm still in planning phases. I need to talk to the guy who runs Aerial Rave tourneys here. Maybe he'd have some info.

  9. http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/sm9363187 Around 11m30s is a Lambda vs Haku match. It's more or less exactly us as we are now.
  10. So, I was going over a business plan with a buddy of mine here. Basically, if I can't get myself into the art field, I was going to try to open a bar/arcade type of thing. Outside of basic functions, what would be something you'd like to see at one of these places? Since the midwest has basically no arcades, it's kind of a niche market that I might be able to work with.

  11. Typos happen. It's still pretty funny that a 6B would combo into anything other than 5C spam, 2C or 4B. That would probably be the most OP CH move ever if you could 236C after it.
  12. Haku's counters have different active frames. Like I think the 6D is the fastest starter with shortest active, while 5D is like a frame or two slower on starting but longer active. 4D I think was pretty slow on start. I'll have to double check this. I'm just going off of what I remember when I first picked up Haku. Also, it looks like I'm going to have to learn to command dash if it was that effective =p

  13. Yeah but it doesnt take long to get up really. A lot of people don't use down attacks anyway, they just wait for you to tech. Haku is an exception here since a lot of his attacks can hit low on downed opponents. But like Ragna, Jin, Carl, etc. It seems to work fairly decently, as long as it's not over used. I donno though. I've been able to counter people when waking up with 2A because of it. It's kinda weird.

  14. So, hey, I've had a Carl user before not use any tech to wake up and he was able to always grab me despite my 2A and 2B attacks. Although Haku has crazy range and fast attacks against downed opponents, we should test this a bit. I see a lot of Japanese players do it when they get knocked down, although I'm not sure the main point of it. I tried it a little in a few ranked matches and it screwed up my opponents hardcore.

  15. Guard crush =/= barrier burst/out of barrier
  16. I don't know if I'm going to really work on Haku much anymore until CS. I'll just keep my pace with Nu. I want to play Tsubaki, but there's really no one similar to her aside from Ragna, and even then, they're incredibly different.

  17. Well, I'm used to countering swords with swords. I know how to deal with Nu when I'm Nu, but I'm still getting the feeling for it when I'm not Nu. Your Nu was horrid lol. You picked it up a bit toward the end of our matches, but nothing specials. I wasn't really tired. Just kind of wanting CS to come out already. Not sure why they haven't even announced a release date.

  18. Wrong thread. This is for Nu, not Lambda.
  19. I always thought 5tech was 2tech. Iunno! So confused!

  20. you'd have to message me on XBL so i can see these in a timely manner =p I'm usually up for games

  21. I guess it depends what wake up you do. the 8tech gives you grab invinc, and the 2tech gives more normal invinc but is vulnerable to grabs. I forget how that all goes...

  22. I think it was said that Nu's airgrab is the 3rd or 2nd best of the game. Litchi being the one with the vacuum. Air grab mechanics are really all over the place. Half the time it's a throw counter or whatever. All I know is that Nu has one of the quickest starting air throws, so it's hard to against it. Haku's range for a grab is longer, but it's not as quick in the air, I believe. I'll have to check frame data again.

  23. To answer your question you messaged me on XBL: In CS terms, 214DC will break primers, I think 2. So you want to avoid getting hit by it. Air blocking 6D or 2D is much better in terms of challenging the 214DC. Basically, high jump and block, wait for 6D or whatever and land and continue from there. Don't IAD cause you can get clipped by the 214DC or take the 6D/2D swords
