  3. Thanks. I can't wait to see volante vs all those, assuming that change stays. His combo potential and reset potential are 2 different things. Something had to be done to CS carl cause if he was left untouched he would be OP in CS2. Don't forget carl's damage is not dependent on screen placement, but on his starter. His combo potential had to be nerfed to be in line with the other characters. On his resets: nah I was mostly exaggerating. I love that loop too much so seeing it go made me sadface, but he'll still be fine without it. The loop gave you multiple ways to land things, but if the j.2c kd stays we'll find new resets with that. You can do 6C 2A 5A 5B 2D 2B slight delay 6B. He still has his 2D unblockable. Carl dealing 5k in CS2? Uhh we'll have to wait and see. How long she lasts is dependent on the carl player. 3D pickup isn't for damage, but for oki. The good thing about carl is that resets are his strenght, so forcing people to stand up after a kd is really important. It doesn't matter if it blue beats or deals 5 damage cause you're gonna go for a reset. That's the whole point of 3D pickup. Force standing and go for a reset. There's no way to know how good he'll be since we don't know what is final and what is not. Also, you'll have have to guage his effectiveness vs the other characters. Heck for all we know he might end up being OP and needing a nerf. In other words, we'll just have to wait until tomorrow. In the loketest, 3C was techable, CH 3C wasn't. Techable 3C was done to prevent random hitcomfirms into summon combo. Assuming cantabile untechable till ground stays, we'll have new summon combos. 8D had bonus proration in the test. Making it unblockable with a bonus would have been broken. They made it blockable to reduce random 8D hits into a combo. This way it's more of a "WARNING, don't jump again" kinda thing rather than guaranteed damage. Breaking 2 primers with bonus proration is more than good enough. People still won't jump. You want him to be broken o_O? Lol, your idea of hiding in the hat is funny. Being able to combo after j.C kd would depend on 2 things. It's untechable time, and the height at which carl hit them with j.2C. If they can tech quickly then he'll have to hit them with j.C pretty low to the ground to combo off it. 3D pickup 6C 5A 5B 2B 6B/5C. That gives nirvana more than enough time. 3D pickup is gdlk against everyone. They have to emergency tech now. After a knockdown if you slightly delay 3D, so that it's active frames don't end during your opponents invincible frames on neutral tech, they'll be forced to block like the last 2/3 hits of 3D. They can still reversal, obviously, but it has to have invincibility (You're still going to have to bait reversals even with 3D pickup). This also means that they can't emergency tech and jump back barrier right away cause the remaining hits of 3D will keep them grounded, and if they're holding up it's practically a hit confirm. They can't mash out anything that isn't invincible on wakeup or they'll get counterhit. Unlike an instant 3D after a kd, emergency tech won't beat a delayed 3D. Even if they catch on to the fact that you're delaying 3D, it doesn't matter cause you can change up the timing (instant after kd or slightly delayed after kd so it's a guessing game). Coupled with the fact that carl is the reset king, and you start to see dangerous this can be.

  6. I liked them. They were fun. You were really working DAT 4C/j.C like a stripper and her pole lol. It made it real hard to for me to approach. Resets are so dangerous on haku so I tried to keep them as counter-safe as possible. That's why at times it would look like I messed up a reset, which I did occasionally, but I was trying to bait out your counter so I could punish. Nice matches those were.

  7. OMG I'm in love with valk. Goodbye tsubaki. All that's left if plat. Transforming midcombo takes sometime to get used to, but damn why didn't he come out earlier.
  8. As a 360 owner the wait doesn't even phase me anymore. I mean we just got valk today, lol. I want her to come out early, but if it takes 2 months, like ps3 valk to 360 valk, I wouldn't even notice :/.

  11. hellz yeah. I don't even care about the new carl. The only vids I want to see are that of my waifu. If carl happens to be in any of them, then that'll just be extra.

  13. It depends The reset 5B 2B 5C 3D j.B j.C, for instance, might be gone (If j.C kds on airborne opponents only and forces crouching on standing then it would still work). The 6B j.B j.C j.B loop is gone. If j.C causes kd on standing then 5B 5C late 6D j.2C j.B j.C wouldn't work (It would still work if it only cause crouching on standing). It was done as an attempt to try and reduce his damage, but in turn he lost some of his reset potential. The only good thing I see coming from j.C kd is j.C kd into 3D, but there are other things you can do to give yourself the 3D pickup anyway. Such as 2C 8D 3D, or after a 2D loop 3D, etc. So I wouldn't really call this a positive so to speak, but more along the lines of "another way to end your combo with a kd into 3D". It will make way for new combos obviously (possibly even new resets), but it's not his combos I'm personally worried about. I just don't want his reset potential to get lower. Lol, now I'm not saying "OMG he's ruined I'm switching". I loved and abused that 6B j.B j.C loop soooo much so when I heard it was gone it was like receiving a phone call from a police office saying that my wife was in a fatal accident, and they're sorry, lol. Even with all these changes, carl, imo, still looks strong. I wouldn't be surprised if he got more nerfs in the final version lol. Arc is trying to make the theme of CS2 be "Low damage midscreen, but high in the corner". The thing is there is no such thing as low damage midscreen but high in the corner for carl. Carl's damage depends on his starter and what combo he does after the starter. It doesn't matter where he is on the screen. Funny thing is since 3C is techable, he needs nirvana with him at all times to get any sort of worthwhile combo in the corner. Since cantabile usually whiffs in the corner when you're too close you can't cantabile 22D like you can midscreen. So he's actually better midscreen than in the corner. Lol, opposite of what arc wants. I like how they've put more emphasis on nirvana though. I hate how, in the current system, she gets poked out of everything so easily. It became so brainded in many matches. They just safely poked at her for free because carl can't do anything about it. I really hope the changes: fuoco always coming out, anima SA, 8D positive proration/removing 2 primers, brio needing barrier in air, volante multi-hit against projectiles, 3D pickup, and air ch 6D wall bounce all stay. These will solve a lot of the "I'll camp right next to her cause" and "lol 5a will stop her if you try anything" that our opponents like so much. I have a question. Are these considered projectiles Litchi's staff, Ragna's Dead Spike, Noel's X marks the spot gun thing she fires (lol sorry don't know the name), hazama's chain, and Mu's steins They all eat volante for free right now, so I'm trying to see if even with the multi-hit against projectiles they'll still be able to eat it for free or not. I'm pretty sure litchi's staff, and hazama's chain still would. Steins would probably cancel it out easily as well too. Not sure on ragna, and noel.
  14. Am I the only one who noticed the noises she makes in her astral video? Like when she was dashing. She almost sounds like an infant. It's like arc did everything they could to make her as cute as possible and I love that. It makes you wonder how she could have possibly been one of the six heroes. lol, I mean she pracitically used kisses and hugs to try and defeat the black beast.
  15. o_O? Why are they attacking his gatlings? I know they want to lower his damage, but taking away his gatlings removes his resets/setups. j.C j.2C doesn't bother me, it's j.C j.B. The loop only worked on 8 characters, and it wasn't used for damage, but to set up resets. I'd rather they nerf his damage to hell, albeit not too low, than take away gatlings which in turn nerf his reset potential. I guess I just love that loop too much cause of the amount of resets you can get off it. 2 primers and bonus proration? Wow, Interesting.

  17. Yeah, in the corner use 7 or 9 in place of 8. If you try to do 8D in the corner right after allegretto, say 5C j.B j.Allegretto 8D, it'll most likely come out as anima instead. If you want to move her forward then you'll have to do what zong said. Move her forward, with 9, during 5C and j.B. You can slightly move her forward during allegretto but not too much. Also, whether you use 7 or 9 depends on how close nirvana is to the wall and what combo you want to do. In the corner after allegretto 8D, if you want to do the 2D loop you have to make sure nirvana's face isn't touching the wall or else 2D might whiff giving your opponent time to tech and escape. If you don't want her too close to the wall so that the 2D loop doesn't work, then you can use 7D to push her back a little bit. If you're going for the j.2C allegretto loop only then it doesn't matter how close she is to the wall. (I hope I didn't confuse you with the last paragraph)
  18. That's why I put good/bad for valk and tao. How easily they can get in makes a difference, and in the bad for valk I made a reference to his normals cause they are just too good. I don't think she'll have an answer to them either once he gets in. Just like rags and bang, once they get in their normals might overwhelm her unless she has her bat. It's all theory fighter to pass the time though, so harmless fun nontheless.
  19. Well, since there's no new info on her or footage, I might as well join in the fun Her potential bad matchups imo vs Haku You're gonna have to throw away your typical zoning game. He can easily slice her slow projectiles on reaction. I think missiles will be useless against him. He'll easily counter or slice them. You can still zone him, but only with bombs I think. You'll have to be really close though so that he has to worry about you coming in on him and command grabbing/hitting out of what ever he might try to do to counter the bombs. Melee items will probably be the way to go against him. His godlike pokes and reach vs the range on her melee. vs Bang Once het gets in it's going to be autopilot heaven. Having to rely on having her bat to have a reversal against him is godsent for bang. Not only does she have to press D to get the bat, assuming she is able to knock him off her after he gets in, it's not guaranteed that she will get her bat when she presses D. So he can do whatever he wants without fear of retaliation. He can guardpoint her slow zoning though. He doesn't have to teleport either. The good thing is that unlike lambda, because her zoning is slower, she recovers faster. So if he does teleport, she'll probably would have already recovered in time to punish him. vs Mu Lol, you can't even press D to get items talk less of trying to zone. Melee all the way. I think Plat is going to have to play RTSD. No stopping for snacks(bombs) and drinks(missiles). Get up in DAT @$$ and wreck it. Plat's mobility might make getting in easier. The problem is you have to watch for steins (lasers and exploding steins), and Mu's godlike normals. Melee items with good range might be the go to option, such as hammer(16t) and cat(lion), so that you can match her normals and make bypassing them a bit easier. Once you have her cornered, bubbles prevent her from jumping away freely, so bubbles + hammer/cat/fan(depending on range) could be a legit anti mu strat. vs Litchi Almost the same as hakumen. Her godlike pokes and range is hard to deal with. Plat's zoning though won't be negated as easily. Melee items will probably be favored more as well in this matchup, just like haku. Litchi is also a zoner, and her zoning is faster than plat's. So plat will probably have to play up close than try to outzone her. vs Ragna She isn't Mu or lambda. Her zoning is much slower, and she isn't going to be zoning you from full screen either. Since her zoning is slow, and even when she zones it's most likely going to be from midscreen, once he gets within 5B range plat could be in trouble. The good thing though is with the IB nerf we don't have to worry about brainless IB DP anymore, so melee is going to be effective. Why I say this is bad is cause once he gets in, which will be easier for him to do than against Mu/lamda, I don't think plat will have an answer for anything he tosses at her. Potential good matchups vs tager Lol, for obvious reasons. Haha, I hope this is 7-3 so that I can troll tagers with her. Especailly AXIS. Ofcourse I'm just joking. vs tao Depending on how tao turns out in CS2, this could be a good or bad/even matchup for plat. -Good if taos drives don't negate plats bubbles. This lessens taos air mobility greatly and gives plat leway to zone with bomb/missiles. So you could just rinse wipe repeat [bubbles and bombs/missiles]xn to force tao to make a move. Bombs/missiles chip so she's going to have to do something eventually, and all you have to do is react and counter. If she tries to come in she'll have to block plats bubbles, giving plat a freebie to pressure. -Bad or even if her drives negate plats bubbles. She easily gets by her zoning, so it becomes a melee war. Taos normals and speed might overwhelm plat, or plats melee might give tao trouble. Will have to wait and see. vs Valk Same as tao -Good if wolf can't easily negate her bubbles. He's limited to approaching from the ground like tao, which goes back to the same strat for tao as well. -Bad if wolf can negate bubbles. His normals are almost on ragna level. Thank goodness his damage and effectiveness has been toned down though in CS2, Valk is really silly right now. Like ragna, once he gets in plat could be defenseless. His normals could be too much for her to handle. Vs Arakune Ara has trouble with zoners, the thing here is his air mobility could be drastically limited by plats bubbles. Ara lives in the sky so this could be great news for her. Also, being able to change the trajectory of bombs will give him trouble. He has to come to her, just like in his lambda/mu matchup, and he has to watch out for her melee items and loli upgraded items from loli install as well. Theory fighter ftl.

Walked up again and grabed. Lol, all I had to do was 5B or 5C hahaha. Then i got hit by rhapsody. Good stuff last night.

Yeah soujiro was my favorite character in Rurouni Kenshin, and in any anime I've seen for that matter. I wanted to be just like him when I first watched the show, hahahaha. Lol, not the killer part, but you get what I mean. I loved how he didn't feel any emotion. DAT stoic look he always had. Lol, now I'm not saying that I don't want to feel any emtion, but what I meant by "i've always wanted to be like him", was that if I were an anime character, lol talk about my weird childhood dreams, I would have loved to have been like him. I liked his ability the most in samurai x. DAT speed was just too gdlk. I also liked his name as well. Lol, yeah I liked everything about him. Btw this is Soujiro the Tenken from SRK, hahaha as you can see even my dustloop name pays tribute to him.

  23. Lol, yeah I knew it wasn't a joke. It's just I laughed so hard that I wondered if you were a comedian. I know what you mean though, SF4 also put a bad taste in my mouth. I liked A3 and 3s, but I never really got into them. So i got SF4 expecting an upgrade. Lol, you can imagine how surprised I was. It was dumbed down too much.

  25. LMAO, that's exactly how I felt when I saw your avatar. I was so pissed cause I wasn't unique anymore. By making you admit you copied me atleast I'd have felt happy knowing that I was unique, but you else stole "my" idea, so to speak lol. Now I feel bad for how I approached you lol, and I'm sorry. It's just I was under the impression that you stole my avy and I kinda got angry cause I was the only one with a serious plat avatar. Everyone has her in her cutesy, heart shaped eyes form, but mine showed the dark-side of her, and I loved how unique and different mine was from the others until I saw yours, lol. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I guess great minds think alike lol.
