Hopefully tonight? I wasn't too happy with how I've been playing the past 2 days
-
Oh, Yuri makes me laugh. I kinda like him but he annoys me too. He complains a shitload about Nu when he mains Rachel, and goes on about how he'll never beat me (which is a shitty attitude, my Nu is VERY beatable). Etc. I was listing to him all the crazy godly things about Rachel in CT Nu changed a SHITLOAD in CS. She can't do 5DD>4DD anymore. Her ground swords aren't jump canceable. Her 2C sucks now. Players have to do her TK cresents well. lol, it'll take me quite a bit of time to adjust. Mu 12 looks interesting, I hope she isn't S tier. Depending on if I like her I'll sub her, but I wouldn't main her on principle, since I don't want to be seen maining S tier twice in a row. I'll have to see how I like Hazama/Tsubaki. I'm not even gonna think about a sub till I'm good with Lambda P.S-I just uploaded a match of Omni and me on the leaderboards, it was seriously one of the most fun matches I've had in a while, check it out, that shit was nuts
-
Yeah, CS Rachels almost purely a zoner. There's also a really a good Taiwan Rachel close to Mastu's skills. I'm really influenced by this super aggressive Lambda player named Azu, I think there's a vid on my youtube account of him playing that Rachel I mentioned, you can try checking it out. I have a feeling Mu 12 is going to be everyone's Nu crutch : / I'm a little annoyed she's going to be in the game without being tested for balance, she's going to be top tier I wanna sub one of the new 3 characters, I don't really like the other characters enough in CT to sub them, so it annoys me when people think I'll conviently switch to Bang or Litchi. Tsbuaki is low tier but she looks crazy fast and fun, Hazama's a zoner so thats suits me. Mu 12 might be similar enough to Nu, but if she's god tier I won't main her out on principle, I'd only sub her. Who do you plan to sub? And yeah, I'm very sure all those Nu players will switch to Mu

I will be, id have to get a ps3 with a pad or stick if i wanted to play well, dashing on that pad is atrocious. Getting the ps3 is cool, all the exclusive games Ive wanted to play are cheap now Valkarie Chronicles, MGS4, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Killzone2 Also good backup since my 360 has some tray problems, I'm too paranoic it wont work one day
-
Yes sir, but I don't think I can stomach playing Blazblue on it, I hated playing it on the ps3 pad

As long as my connection lets me play you the connection is pretty solid back home. I'm curious to see how things shape up too. No one more Arakune's mashing and getting auto win curses, no more Nu players spamming 5D and actually doing well. No more bullshit from Rachel. No loops from Carl. I'm only REALLY worried about Bang and Litchi. I'm kinda excited for Lambda, the normal player is gonna have to be a lot more technical just because all her good combo's involve 2147D's. I'll probably be terrible for a while until I can learn how to use her right. It's gonna feel good when she isn't played by a lot of people, she's pretty garbage without knowing how to do her TK feints and loops. I'm having some fun with her spike chasers as Nu, instead of using 236D after 3C I use her 214D, if they don't tech fast they take massive meterless damage, if they do tech they're stuck in blockstun and I can do whatever Glad you're sticking with Rachel. What do ya plan to do to win with her?
-
Yah, if I see you on we'll practice with some player matches, I can show you a couple of mixups if you'd like
-
Nah, most of the Nu's are a joke, they crack under pressure 5C really blows. Like, my favorite thing to do is use 2B (hits low)>2C>mixup. With 5C all you can do is 5C>6C>teleport or 5C>3C>236D. It's shitty and slow too, it's why I rarely use it Once you get used to Nu's TKs you can practice her TK feints into other combo's, it's full of nasty mixups. I don't like Nu's 5D that much anymore, I was having a hard time though getting in because you really liked to zone so I had to rush in patiently
-
Yeah. TK mixups really open up possibilities for Nu. You shouldn't use so many 5Cs, that move actually really sucks for Nu, you're better off using her 2C or 3C instead. You and Dourshi right now are the only Nu's on XBL that can get wins off of me in the mirror fight
-
Great job tonight, Masanex, you were giving me a hard time. You've gotten real good real fast. I'm seeing you're trying to use more TKs in your game now, pretty sweet
-
Nah, he was really abusing tactics. At one point he stopped attacking me and went purely for zoning unless he could get a free rush in. And the idea of not using D for a couple of days actually really helped me out. I'm incoporating more 2A's and more B attacks with Nu, It's working nicely with my rush in games. My connection back home is a lot better but the nat is strict so hopefully we can play. Just put up with my shitty lag for a few more weeks :P

Because I think I can still be punished for the backdash. That's something Cactus would have to experiment with, I'm sure I can be punished for this. PS: Stone was NOT happy with me calling him out on shit
-
Yep, mix in some pressure with those hop ins. I don't know Haku like you do so my advice is limited, you gotta play around with it and see what works. Don't do too many unsafe oki stuff though. I'd probably stick with the TK and whatevers safe and effective. I'm sure you'll figure something out, just don't be wreckless like me
-
Right, I can backdash your TK. Cactus criticized me for backdashing spamming his overhead or never blocking it, but he does it so rarely that honestly he isn't given me a reason not to Totally dude. Going on the offense like that feels really great. I myself am getting into the habit of doing more 3C>Spike chaser instead of wheel, it forces the opponent to tech immediately, at which point I can pressure even more or I get huge meterless damage. It can be DP'd though so I can't do it much. I did bait a few stuff from Pulsr doing it though.
-
You'll get used to it, keep doing and and working on it, even if you fuck up a little in your games. It took me way too long to apply all my mixups and oki games for CT, I'm hoping I'll understand Lambda much quicker in CS. Honestly, I was too scared to try this stuff out for a while. Then for a while I had to remind myself, "oh yeah, I should try this". Then eventually it's pretty much become second nature. I calculate the oki pressure I wanna do.
-
You're not going about this right. If my fat ass is blocking low in a corner, fucking TK the shit of me. I'll have to start reacting or predicting the overhead. If you condition me enough I'm scared of the overhead and you hit me that double kick of his into a combo. You could scare me so much you even grav as I wakeup I fucking abuse my oki game so badly against anyone who doesn't have a DP. I have to be a bit cautious with everyone to an extent, but I do it far less against Ragna, Jin, and Litchi. Don't just sit there and watch your opponent get up, fucking pressure them, man. TK hottaru that shit. It's a fast move
-
No, you have to wait until there completely up (takes predicting). The same goes with Nu's wakeup TK, I can't do it unless they're up, that's why I mix in 2Bs. It's all about conditioning, Mac. I bet once you get the hang of it you'll become addicted to the TK overhead Can't you Haku stomp someone if they just stay on the ground?
-
Hm. Depending on the spacing you'll get countered if I don't go for the fakeout and really TK. If I try to TK really close yeah, you'll jab me out. If you ABSOLUTELY react and see that the TK was a fakeout totally do Haku's 2A, it's one of the best melee moves in the game and is sick with enough stars. If the Nu's smart they can do a fakeout TK feint and backdash or stay neutral and hit you while you jab. Don't do it unless it's on reaction or you're REALLY sure they're gonna dash. If Nu goes for a 2B you can Haku stomp and counter me And yeah, I don't like rolling too much against Haku, too punishable. I'd rather wait until I escape or sit there until they jump over me from so much j.C spamming (Which is too fucking much from every Hakumen). Totally play around with your oki game, use it in training and start getting balsy enough to do it in a real game. You have the option of overhead, grab, low, use it.
