BROKENTIER - Clothing for virtual punchy game players
RaveSage replied to koogy's topic in Zepp Museum
Pre-ordered Nu Lambda Mu. Love dem robots! I sent an e-mail about getting the size I ordered changed so hopefully you got that too. ^^; -
At least BlazBlue, Melty, and Arcane are fairly similar games button wise. KoF is 4 button too, right? In that sense, the biggest problem is gone! All you have to do after is separate all the characters/play styles. I use Miyako in MB and end up charging in all day. Total opposite of my Lambda game.

The joystick broke again. GGs all. Shame I couldn't get to fight mightfo and Oso. D: Funny how I was able to land a few half decent combos despite all I can do atm is watch a-cho matches on youtube. CS2 better not ruin all my downloading. :8/:

PLASTICK 1.0 ready for action! (probably) Now using the power of duct tape to keep some of the switches in place. I can't find my old 360 stick, but when I do, 1.1 will be on it's way.
-
haha, yes, it's mirrored. Not sure anyone would feel comfortable with a right handed stick. (Though I've seen people play cross-handed before. Maybe that's why...) As long as the soldering goes well it should be done by tonight. I can't test it though so the worst that may happen is the stick is mounted wrong.
-
If I can make it on the 11th... I'll finish this guy up right away! (PS3 only)
-
Best thing you can probably do is just not use your grounded swords almost ever. Maybe 6D if he's jumping around to get in but otherwise, you just have to out-melee him and know how to block your own strings. 6A might be helpful too. j.2D/j.D at far screen can help keep em' at bay and stop C Parser I believe. CT Nu mirrors were pretty awful but with the swords mechanics changed it's a little easier imo. Just gotta read the opponent more.
-
I think I had a similar stick to that one. The problem are the button springs I think. I felt like I had to smash the buttons on mine to make sure I was getting the inputs read. Took it apart though so I have the PCB at least.
-
"Loose" stick eh? I would guess it's Swana brand. I prefer the loose feel but if it's not for you, probably try Semitsu or IL sticks if you get one built. That or add springs. To get a PS2 connection, yeah, you'd need to solder and get some extra parts. If just PC/PS3 all you need are some crimping materials and a screwdriver. I'd say I could get one set up for you but I never got a chance to get the one I had finished up. Don't like possibly messing things up. D: Now a 360 stick, I can actually do and I managed to get that all set up before. (the stick I used at your place) I could try setting that up if you're interested.
-
Far as I'm aware This is the only pre-made PS2 style stick worth getting. You could get an MC Cuthulu and not even need converters with a bit of work. My plans to build a new stick are being thwarted by evil yet again. Gonna be a while till I can get the parts I need unless someone wants to help me out. (I ship em to your place and give them to me.) I'll even give some of my swana buttons, ball/battops ect. as a reward. btw, this saturday is probably a no-go for me too. Trying to slip out for A-Fest for most of that day.
-
Just saw some KOF13. I'm hype for this too now. Been doing some research on how I could build some new sticks and lucky me, I think I've found a really good cheap option for all the things I'll need. Heading down to my local Container Store tomorrow to check things out. If all goes well, I will have found a way to build a stick for ~$80 considering I have a PCB on hand (~$100 if a PCB is needed). If anyone else is interested in me making one for them once I'm finished, defiantly ask.

Met with Chris today (Advil4theMasses). Shame no sticks but we got in a few pad matches. Refused to let me finish a basic BnB! Anyone else near Collin College Plano want in? Preferably with sticks. I'll keep trying to convince my mom to let me get to a UTD event.
-
Cafeteria is fine. If your class happens to be near A/B we might end up seeing each other on the way. I'll be wearing a light blue shirt and a necklace with a lighting bolt on it. Hopefully not too hard to spot.
-
Yeah, I'm there every day. my classes end at 2 tomorrow as well so we can meet then.
-
alright. I happened to be in the cafeteria area most of today. In a class right now but I'll be out at 12.
-
Any Collin College Plano folks want to meet up at some time? Not necessarily to play but at least chat or w/e. Btw, worst thing happened today. My sticks got "donated". Without my permission. So yeah, add that to the list of things I can't bring to meet ups. Still have some controller PCBs so maybe I'll gets some tools and make a PS2 stick.
-
Not sure how much help I can be but I would imagine the same tools as before would help in this matchup. 6A and 6D will help punish or keep Tao at bay respectively if you watch how she's approaching. I would imagine C Parser is another good tool to throw into the mix since it's got anti-air. From the ground I have no clue other than don't use 214D and use 5D sparingly or else she'll crawl right under it or get a free approach from the air if you whiff it.
-
Wish I could work somewhere this semester. 1st year though so I'll probably hold back on that for now even though it's impossible to get money out of my mom. D: But still, 3 people near Collin. Good things will happen.
-
Across the street?! :O I happen to be attending Collin this year. I'm assuming you mean the Spring Creek location since you're in Plano. Not sure if I could do late night stuff but if I can work things out I might be able to drop by for a match sometime.
-
Thursday is free. Hopefully I'll be allowed to go. Good matches tonight. Glad to turn my non-existent Lambda into fail mashy Lambda.
-
Yeah, since I'm pretty much open for whenever in the evening/late afternoon, you can pick whatever days you'd like. I'll call when I'm on my way there.
-
I might be able to make Monday evening and pretty much every day next week is pretty open aside from the weekend. Anyone plan on bringing a GG set up? I have a strange urge to learn that game now.
-
GAH, fail. My high school friends are having a get together before we all go off to college on the SAME DAY as the BB tournament at QuakeCon (Saturday 14th). Not sure if I'll be able to make the event at all now. ;-; Edit: Aside from that, I actually have a lot of free weekday time now. I know my way with the DART line so if anyone's playing BB/GG in Plano or other areas close to a station I should be able to hang out then.
-
I should be able to go to Quakecon as well. Thankfully it's on Saturday. Anyone planning to bring consoles at some point too? Mightfo, I should be able to come by this Saturday for some BB if you're up for that.
-
I'm usually open on weekends but sometimes I have driving lessons. (Don't go into how sad this is. D: ) There's one more 9-5 class coming up next month on a friday but other than that I ignore my summer class, which ends in 2 weeks or so. I usually get up at like, 10 on a good day that's not for school so unless there's something in the way I can try going myself or get one of my friends to tag along. Btw, in case you're wondering, my Nu sucked and my Lambda game is probably going to be ass. You keep that Mu away from me!
