  1. That sucks man. Get well soon. Also, I got my QDs for buttons. Since Plastick still isn't looking too hot, I'll probably start taking the pcb out in preparation for the ProjectBox Stick that still needs a name... Edit: Also, since I need screw-in buttons for this and future projects, would someone like to buy/trade for my snap-in Sanwas? Some have solder on them right now but I can clean em' up easy.
  2. The most wonderful post on DL ever.
  3. Oh yeah, love dat vine. Heck, I'll drop all my tech classes and become a botanist right now. The Arcana listing section has the real names but if you scroll to the bottom of almost any page, the elements are listed there.
  4. > Begins watching the second match in the first vid My comments: "Wow." "What the..." "Holy Shit!" "Holy Shit!!" "HOLLY SHITTTTTT!!!" And from that point on I was/am still in a constant state of awe. I now have two characters I am set on trying. Cathy n' ChainLady+Plant. Which arcana was Cathy using? Also, I'm only going to possibly be open for Sat only this week Jet. Sorry man.
  5. Having a mech =/= robot character for me. Also, she's a grapple user, right? Not my style. :x I do like Petra from what I've seen of her. Pretty much any character with lots of zoning/spacing options is my thing and I'm seeing a few potential starting points, so it's all good.
  6. Not sure if these were posted some time back, but I found what could be some good future AH3 resources. A Wiki detailing a good few characters and Arcana. Aparently, every Friday this guy will comment on various AH matches and explain things. There are some recorded vids here too so I'll be looking at those like... right now. There's only one robot in this game and so far (that I know of, some characters haven't been detailed a lot). I don't like her much right now though.
  7. I feel like this was what was holding me back too. Back when I had CT, I autopiloted all day and lost all day. Then when I got into my local scene it all vanished after a while. I can't play CS at home, yet I somehow beat people who invest time into this game because I've played them a lot now and can adjust my strategies to combat theirs. ...Well, except Oso. I'll get him one day! Also, local offline play is fun as hell, so get to it!
  8. Just a few examples of my PS majutsu. Stick Art 1 Stick Art 2 You probably can't tell, but I had to edit Medusa (3rd Left) a lot. Sigs
  9. I used to run octo back when I had my real sticks (and I liked it :O ). Dunno if I could go back to it now though. Besides, that's $5 I don't have. D: Edit: Haha, wow. Right after I post this I ask my mom for money and I get + $20. Life is now that much better.
  10. Hmm, a $90-ish stick... I'm guessing you mean the Real Arcade Pro series. So yes, as far as getting smooth parts, the most you'll have to pay for after the stick itself is like $30 or so for buttons (from LL) or you can buy some of mine if you want. If possible, I'd suggest you get a PS3 stick with a 360 converter. PS3 had a firmware update that made a large number of 3rd party converters stop working. There's also dual-modding.
  11. Hi. Gotta have my Bots!
  12. Hi. Avatar level up! Btw Mightfo/Jet, whenever you plan on modding your sticks, I've got a pack of 100 .110 quick disconnects (for buttons) coming in this Wednesday so if you need any, I can supply. I also have .187s (for joysticks) if you don't plan on using the pcb part of your JLF.
  13. Hi. Great meet-up ya'll. I finally leveled up my Lambda game (C mashing n' Spike Chaser) Shame I didn't get to play Oso and his friend. Also, Robo-Ky is defiantly going to be my GG main. Also, shoutout to iMSY to driving me near the bus station and me making a mad-dash to catch my bus in time. Btw, I forgot my hat I think...
  14. and my bow
  15. Same here... Btw, Adam might/might not be going Friday. He's becoming Osu God...
  16. Ugh. My mom is insisting I stay home this weekend. I really want to make it to at least one meet-up so it'll be a last minute notice if I go to either one. Saturday will probably be my only option. @KinK General rule at meets is bring your controllers or at least one. Consoles... I think everyone has that covered this time? Someone will chime in if more are needed though.
  17. From the way those buttons felt, I'd say they were Sanwa buttons. AH2/3 sticks should both have them I assume. The "hori" buttons I was referring to come in things like the Fightstick 3, EX2, ect. The Hori sticks that cost ~$50. Also, I said I can help make things solder-less as possible if you need some help. Still need to pick up a few things but It'd be possible. ...Also I hope you're good with cutting tools because using that guide (the one jet linked) means you get to cut up a JLF. I've never done that before and lack cutting tools. Also, who needs a triple mod stick (which would be hella messy) when you can have the magic of PROJECT BOX STICKS! Seriously, once I get all the stuff for mine set up, I can use my stick for the N64 if I feel like it! Edit: Actually, after looking at the video tutorial of modding this stick (posted by jet) I noticed that the buttons in your stick aren't even the crappy Hori ones. They're snap-in contact pad buttons... YUCK :8/:
  18. Shoutouts to meet-ups near the Dart station!
  19. I should be able to do at least one day. Maybe both if I hustle with my class work.
  20. RaveSage - Location: Dallas (Goes to Collin Community College - Plano) Mains: - Miyako in MBAA/AC Availability: Most Saturdays. Equipment: A monitor. T-T Hosting: No can do. Future Games: Arcana Heart 3 Controllers: Plastick Working on a project box stick. Converters: None.
  21. If you need to borrow a soldering iron, wire, QDs, or something I can let you use mine. Next meetup / when I come for my stick we can open yours up and I can tell you what you need to do. (frigid had the TE stick right?) - If so, those are Sanwas. Don't be tempted to get snap-in buttons (pretty colors). They are hell to install in a mod protect. Get screw-ins. Semitsu is just as good (the guys at the GG setup had some) their ever so slightly more stiff but it's hardly noticeable.
  22. Haven't heard anyone say that place is reliable... I wasn't even aware that it existed till you posted it. Also, it seems that one might come without a mounting plate (probably the reason why it's a few $ cheaper). If the stick you have is anything like the hori I had, there might be a nasty outcropping on the inside of the stick made for mounting the stock joystick. you have to do a lot of cutting/dremel-ing on a sanwa for it to go in. I've never seen pictures of your stick's insides so I can't say for sure but it's still safer to just get a stick w/ mounting plate and take it off if you don't need it. Also, I'm almost 100% certain that this stick is the exact same thing but without a wiring harness setup and has easier parts to replace ($2 micro-switches vs $12 pcb) just as easy to install.
  23. Locally, nobody. There's supposedly an American parts dealer in the Six Flags Mall but... 1 that mall is apparently crap. 2... American parts Online, you want LizardLick, hands down. Good shipping and prices. Sadly, their popular JLFs went out of stock recently. They usually get more in less than a week. Also, they come with a spring and a gate. You'll need to order a ball-top (or bat top if you want) though. Soldering probably required but I can (probably) help make it easier if you want.
  24. Aloha told me Friday hat he's probably not going to make it. Something about his basement or w/e. Just a heads up. Adam and I confirmed... as well as one more mysterious person who wanted to tag along as well. ... sorry.
  25. A Pulsar going through the opponent sounds nice. Does it work like that even if they opponent is in the corner?
