  1. I had VP a while ago. Never really got into it even though everything about it is super awesome. Today was just a bad draw along with parental interference. I'll be prepared for the next one!
  2. Can't come. I misread the time for the class and it ends at 5. Meaning the fastest I could get there is like 6:30 with the bus assuming nothing screws up. The whole open area thing still doesn't work well with my mom either. Next meet up I'll try getting one of my friends to come along so she's (sort of) ok with it. Or maybe I will just not have a full day class next time.
  3. Wow, I respect Tsubaki a little more after seeing that. Didn't know she had such interesting combo tricks.
  4. Saw you on the EVO Stream playing MBAA! Just want you to know you're my hero! :)

  5. Miso is my hero. Forever.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPuLrKukK0s From AI Top 8 matches.
  7. I noticed this as well a while back and was able to continue the jDD followups for the exact same amount of damage. I only find it useful because after the 2DD you can try to mix things up and do an air throw if they don't expect it. Note: you can air throw from the regular Throw > 5DD > 6DD > 2DD but it's a bit harder. I should also note that Throw > 5DD > 2DD > Air Throw does a bit more damage the the jDD follow up from what I remember. Hope I said all that right. Still cautiously checking my terminology.
  8. Heh, pretty good actually. My Nu game has defiantly gotten better than mashing D and random bursting that's for sure. At least I think it has. I'll probably ask for some matches this weekend on the IRC and get some critique or someone who records to upload a match. :D

  9. More like burst early when your opponent is nowhere near you. Man I still hate myself for that one.
  10. Whenever I'm playing a match I'm usually calmly trying to assess my opponent and see what kind of habits or patterns he follows. Between that I usually mix up my own approach to try to catch them off guard when they try mixing up on me. Heck, I hardly ever pay attention to my character to see what I could do to approach (even more-so since I main Nu) and try to figure out what my opponent will do next. I suppose the biggest thing that has to be in your mindset is "don't panic" even when your taking a full pressure string, half you heath gets taken out, or you just plain old screw up, you cannot lose your cool. Once you do that, you've already lost. I should know, it happens to me every time I fight a good Haku or Tao. :8/: Also, don't drop those sexy combos.
  11. I thought the proper loop (If I'm looking at the same part you are) was 6A > 2147D with occasional 5B at the end to continue the loop due to being pushed out the corner. The second combo I believe you have correct. Though it would make things a bit easier if you told us which parts of the vid you're seeing the combos at. (or at least for me. )
  12. Even still, Lambda got something interesting so we might as well take it into account. Being able to break tons of guard points at least makes people think twice before attempting to block everything that Lambda throws at them. Something interesting I saw (sorry if it was already caught); It seems if you can get someone full screen with 214D~C you can do 236D~C and it will string together nicely. It will break two guard points for free if not give you a mix-up if they don't see it coming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HNVPYPvZi0#t=1m14s Going back to that point about guard point breaking, Lambda gets it quiet a lot in this match.
  13. I get where you're coming from but I disagree. Near the end of a match the player in the lead would naturally want to play more defensive. Why? Because the opponent is going to attempt to pressure/mix up as much as possible to get in the lead or get the KO himself. From what I saw on Hazama's side, he didn't really have a lot of safe openings to advance upon given his HP was low. If I was in his position, I would defend my ass for 6 seconds too.
  14. Sorry if I sound ignorant but how does the match being won by time limit pose an issue?
  15. That was a pretty sweet combo at 6:58. No meter for that kind of damage isn't too bad if you ask me. I'm seeing a lot of pressure out of Lamb from that vid, which is surprising to me. I guess Lambda exchanged some zoning abilities for a spicy pressure game.
  16. I'm digging the black color spread... but who decided to keep that awful green color with the dark skin? It doesn't fit Nu at all.
  17. Ah, ok. I suppose I'll just keep it for myself then. It's a big help for me because I don't have a laptop so I have to write down combos usually. I agree the text notes and a short video work really well, it's just a bother for me to watch the combo downstairs then run up to my 360 to practice it.
  18. I was talking about combining the videos into one large video so you could see them all in one link.
  19. I'm working on making a set of videos containing all the combos listed in the first post organized by difficulty. It was originally just to help me but I figured why not make make it available for other newbies wanting to learn Nu combos too. I expect for the beginner section to be done some time next week. If there are any combos not in the OP that you would like to see, feel free to reply with the combo string, a video ling to the combo (with a time stamp of when the combo is performed, if needed), and any notes you have on it such as damage done or character specificness. Thank ye.
