KC needs to work on his execution and combo choices a bit. He does some relatively hype stuff from time to time but he made me facepalm more often than not.

That's assuming that the frame disadvantage is only worse by one point :/ The j.2C hit-box nerf had better not fuck with the instant overhead against Tager cuz I'm gonna be shitty. I'm just now making some use out of that and it could all be gone in a few days. Edit: disregard that nonsense, it was all but a training mode glitch :/

I hope you're right, 6A doesn't seem punishable atm. 2B starter, 3k combos in the corner, get hype.

6A more disadvantage? WTF!? As if -4 and no longer being able to break primers with it wasn't bad enough. I like how 5D does 2 more points of damage 2B P1 buff is nice though. j.C got nerfed worse than expected with that P1 and hit-stun nerf :/

We'll have to find out when we get our hands on the game, I doubt that the untech time is that good that you can just DC that 6C and get another one in the corner.

I'm guessing that a 6C CH or a DP D (2nd hit) in the corner and with 50+ meter will do the trick but to answer your question, I personally have not seen that yet.

Yo damn, playing against the CPU is not all that bad. Jin tries to grab you at every chance he gets. I'm getting much better at teching throws now because of that. Guy online tried to throw me more times than I could count just a few minutes ago and I teched nearly all of those throw attempts. Pink throws are a given, those are easy as hell to tech but I'm surprised I teched that many green throws lol.

@ Hoshi - I'd like to believe that maybe that day was just not his day lol. I agree with you about "you never know what he could be thinking". Like you said, he might have been trying to condition the opponent into AA'ing him and then doing j.236D or something to punish. The world will never know lol. In the last couple of matches that I've been trying to reset pressure with jump ins, I just get jabbed during star-up. Later on I just baited the AAs with well-spaced j.Cs lol. @ Yuushiro - I'd love to believe that but DP C's recovery is just too atrocious, they would have to cut the recovery by half at least to make it hard to punish lol @ Jourdal - You might be right, maybe he was just trying something new and it didn't work that well for him lol. I did like his use of DP B as an AA near the corner though. It's worth the risk as long as you have the meter to RC since it's a guaranteed combo if it his (CH or not), unlike DP A which only works as a CH.

I watched those Ren videos and thought "is this really Ren?". He's doing some questionable stuff in those matches. One example that stands out is that he's jumping a little too often to reset pressure, something that you don't see from him that much. Jumping to reset pressure should be done very conservatively, people with decent reactions can just jab you out of the air.

I used to get that a lot in CT, I sometimes get it when I try to air-to-air somebody with j.A too fast when I'm crouching lol.

Funny that you say that because there are times when I try to DP D and Yukikaze comes out instead lol. That's true though, a missed Yukikaze input will most likely turn into a DP D.

I fuck up the input for Yukikaze most of the time so I'm better off just DP'ing lol.

Utage just made me rage for a bit, damn Matsunaga did a long ass combo on my Toshiie and then finished me with his super art where he chokes you and makes you blow up. It looked badass but it was still not cool for him to do that lol. So I jumped in the lab and it seems like that combo doesn't work, they'll tech out before you can use 214C. So you'll have to do another DP C which isn't too bad for 3.7K damage. I'll play around with it some more but it seems like it's a bit easier to land than the combo I'm currently using. Edit: Never mind, this combo really is inconsistent right now. That and if you don't do 5B instead of 5A, then the opponent will tech after 2C.

I believe it was Yuushiro who said that j.C CH > 6C wouldn't combo when I asked him if it did, glad to know that it does lol. So 2B's proration really got an upgrade, huh? I agree with you about Ice Wave, it's one of the best looking DDs out there and it's the king of projectiles. Something worse than Ice Arrow... Carnage Scissors, Tsubaki Install, or Calamity Sword although Ice Arrow is pretty horrible itself. The only good use I can find for it outside of a combo finisher is for sniping Noel after she uses Thor's Hammer, I've had lots of success with that lol.

Did he have that mini-Hero Time ability in SB2? If he didn't, then Utage Kenshin is much more broken lol.

Kasuga is decent, her clone L1 + Triangle skill is pretty good. She binds enemies with strings using certain techniques and she can bind them with dodges, dashes, and every hit with her PI. Lots of fun.

Just be careful because if the opponent is daring, he can just do short dash + Barrier if they feel like they're going to get 2D'd (5C > 2D is obvious). If they read it right, you're pretty much fucked because of 2D's whiff recovery. If they get to the point where they're doing short dash + Barrier then do 5C > 5D instead and you'll most likely tag them trying to dash forward. Good to hear that about the DP C corner combo, DP C loops awl dei errday.
