Yeah we could, 623C CH > dashing 5C > stuff, it was a relatively tight link though so you usually saw people just go for dashing 5B > stuff.
-
It might just be on aerial CH though and I'm betting my chips that it is. I've yet to see anyone attempt that stuff > 6C > DC > IAD > j.C > j.2C > 5C > stuff combo. Is it me or does 6A seem slightly slower? It might just be my imagination and I'm hoping that it is. Crossing up with j.214B/C was a bit of a double-edged sword. You could put yourself in the corner or do the same to your opponent. Back in the day you just timed your Ice Car C after j.D and if you hit the opponent as soon as possible while he's above you then you'll trade spots, if you time it and hit him at the last possible moment then you'll keep your spot lol.

Man, the 6C nerf is worse than I thought. There goes our combos on crouching opponents :/
-
If Ice Arrow is useless as a combo finisher then what the hell is it good for now? Random, lucky sniping? lol 6A no longer breaking primers, 2D being slower, and the 6C nerf is some sad shit. Whatever happened to the increased I-frames on 2C, did that make it to the final build?

For starters, that was one horrible punish for a blocked Noel's 3C lol. That outta the way, there's not much I can tell you since I'm actually the inferior Jin here. Just polish that 5B starter corner loop combo, you missed out on a shitload of damage and Heat by dropping it. I would also try not to use 3C that much in block strings since you don't get much out of it without Heat and the risk is not worth it. That 3C > RC > dashing 2B > stuff was nice though. I learned some stuff myself such as that 5A > 2B reset attempt and that if you're too far away to 2D/6C an Ice Blade CH then just go for a dashing 5C and either 2D to maintain pressure or 5D for baiting stuff.

6C, IAD j.C, j.2C, 5C, 623B combos, huh? How exactly does this work? 6C > DC > IAD > stuff or is 6C JC'able now? It sounds cool as fuck though :D j.C CH > 2D no longer combos... well as long as it combos into dashing 6C then we'll be good. I'm hyped for those 6A, 623B, and 214A buffs though. The j.236 series have a faster start-up and Throw > AH works, FUCK YEAH. I'm really worried about "2D being slower" though, even if it means Primer busting :/ Everything else seems "meh" at the moment but we'll just have to wait and see what's in stored for us fellow Jins.

That's the one thing I never bothered to learn, I tried and tried and I just couldn't do it. I figured it would just be easier to find alternatives to that combo that are only slightly inferior in damage and Heat gain.

I'm not good with adding those effect sprites, that's why I'm not trying to mess with it lol.

Actually, never mind, you got this one Dignity lol.

Shit sounds lulzy, I'll take this one on.

Aha, thanks a ton for this. -
I've never seen that [5C > 6C > DC]x2 > sj.C > j.D > AD > j.2C > j.C > 5B > oki ender done before. That and I've also have never seen j.C > Sekkajin. I'll have to fool around with these combos and options whenever I get the chance to. Good stuff.

By the white and gold Jin, I meant the third one on the right, going left-from right starting from the default color Jin: My apologies, I should have been more specific, thanks though. -

Thanks, I'm not expecting it to be dead accurate since it's not the same as doing palette swaps with sprites but I'll trust in your skills. -

Might be a stretch but can one of you guys recolor Jin from this image to his white/gold CS palette (from the original set of color palettes)? -
To watch: Valkenhayn vs Rachel or Hakumen vs Hazama Actually playing the match-up: Jin vs Litchi I don't get to play that many Litchis but that match-up is fun as hell for some reason.

The only thing that's worse than losing matches and dropping combos is losing a match that you were about to win because you dropped a combo lol. Shit happens to me more often than not.
-
Yup, that one, thanks. I'll make that into a nice avatar for myself once I get to try Relius out lol. Now that avatar that you're sporting is a lot better, the red outline surrounding your text is a bit too thick for my taste but other than that, that's a nice avatar.

lol, I wasn't trying to put you down or anything. In fact, the post I made wasn't even related to yours apart from me questioning that 3C > 236D on Tager lol.
-
3C > 236D works on Tager? That's news to me. Also, I would advise people against using 6A too much in this match because being at frame disadvantage against Tager is not the place to be. Think of yourself as getting Gadget Fingered after your 6A gets blocked. You'll be in the position where you have to play rock-paper-scissors with a jump to avoid a Buster, stay grounded and block to avoid a Collider, or DP to beat both but still be in risk of getting baited. By the way, if you get an anti-air hit mid-screen, try to go for 5B AUB resets after a high j.D and 5D > 236D resets near the corner. Those AA combos would look like... Mid-screen: 5A/2A/5B AA > 5C > 6C > DC > j.B > j.2C > JC > j.2C > j.D > (dashing) 5B AUB reset. (j.B instead of j.C in case that you accidently cross yourself after a 6C > DC) Corner: 5A/2A/5B AA > 5C > DP B > (dashing)6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 5D > 236D reset. Your opponent will eventually find out that he's eating AUB resets with 5B and will begin to barrier guard, so now what you wanna do is deplete his barrier by mashing 5A > j.A. Instead of doing that (dashing) 5B AUB, you now go for 5A x n > JC > j.A x n > j.B > (dashing) 5A x n > repeat until you both hit the ground at which point you'll want to go for a quick mix-up and back the fuck off. If during this block string you see that he lets go off his barrier while you're grounded, then AUB his ass with 5B/5C. If you deplete his barrier completely then you're at a huge advantage as he is unable to block AUBs and will now eat 50% more damage. It's the same deal with a blocked 236D after a 5D or if he's going for those super jumps > barrier to approach. This should work against every character but it works specially well on Tager because of his huge hit-box. We need to make use of this block-string now while we still have the chance. They're making it so that it's impossible to do this block string by increasing the guard knockback while the opponent is airborne, by limiting the 5A > itself gatling to 3 reps, and by making barrier guarding push you back even more.

I seriously hope they stick with the loop, at first I hated it but it has grown on me. I like how my combo options quickly change from mid-screen to the corner. That and DP C > 5A > 5C > 236D (pressure reset) is fun as fuck. Although I'd take those 3C > 236D resets over 5A > 5C > 5D > 236D resets any day. For now I'm just hoping for an actual AA in the form of 2C and that 6C AA > 2D works.
-
I might get back into making these again, to kill some time and to learn a few more thing with the Shop. By the way, SolarMisae, do you have a link to the original ReliusxIgnis image?

I only know about Persona because of Shoji Meguro but count me in as hyped. Atlus + ASW + Shoji + (maybe) Ishiwatari, you can't go wrong. If it's a fighting game supported by ASW then count me in. Since I don't know shit about Persona, how many playable characters are we looking at if the game is still alive and kicking for some balance patches/new disc releases?
