  1. Jin ending a corner combo with DP C and then doing a safe jump OS with j.2C. I didn't know about that cross-up barrier/j.B and low profile against Makoto's DP OS, good shit people.
  2. That nerf is not nearly as bad as the 6C nerf, we can still combo off of it on CH although no more j.C CH > 2D on grounded opponents. We just need better reactions for it now. j.2C still leads to dashing 5B on a regular hit, it's all good.
  3. This. If this means less Jin mirrors for me to deal with, then I'm okay with it. The way I see it... CSII Jin > CS Jin > CSX Jin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CT Jin.
  4. You want them to block though, all the way down until you can use your AUBs. Yup, you can get blown up by his j.B and j.C if you're not careful. Gotta condition him to block by throwing some DP As out there from time to time.
  5. I felt the same way when I first read that acronym, I was like "the fuck is this?" lol.
  6. This, you want Tager to be in the air at all times if possible as he doesn't have access to his Busters, Collider, 2C mash, and Sledge. I usually end my combos with a 3C > DP B mid-screen. If he techs as soon as possible, then you can catch him with 2D to force him to block as soon as he techs in the air or meet him in the air with j.B > j.Axn. In the corner, you want to reset him with 5A > 5C > 5D > 236D > j.Axn > j.B > 5Axn > mix-up. If you've frozen him before 5D then instead of doing a second DP C, do 5A > 5C > DP B > delayed DP A and get ready to rape him in the air. Aerial oki ftw lol. I also wonder why I have never seen the Japanese go for a 5B > j.2C instant overhead on Tager. Are they not aware that they have that option or are they too scared to use it?
  7. I fucking hate CT Jin, the only good thing about him was the j.B loop. CS Jin used to be my favorite because of the 3C > 236D resets and 3C > 214C corner oki. CSII Jin is now my favorite because of his various combo options, you're given a shitload of time to do stuff after a DP C knockdown, 5B AUB, 5D resets, and I'm experimenting with using 2D for oki after the 5B > 5C > 3C ender on characters who don't get hit by 214C due to their hit-box. So far it has yielded some amazing results, it catches back rolls and forward rolls and it forces people to block on neutral wake-up because of 2D's long active frames, that and you're out of DP range. Gotta use it with caution because if it whiffs then you're in deep shit, high risk, high reward oki lol. I don't know how people find Jin boring, his resets and gimmicks are fun as hell to use. It sure beats the monotonous way of just playing solid all the time. The way I see it, people find him "boring" because he's easy to use.
  8. That reset will only work once if the opponent fails to barrier block. Other than that, you can go for the 4-way mix-up after 5B by doing a dashing 2B, 6A, throw, or IAD j.B/j.2C cross-up/IAD j.236D fake out. I just love the shit out of 5B... anti-air, AUB, pressure reset, mix-up, good proration and a very quick starter.
  9. I'd like to know the answer to this as as well. His combo potential looks okay, he lost some and he gained some. He still has some of the longest, non-meter combos mid-screen in the roster thanks to Sekkajin. Instead of 6C, we just have to work Sekkajin in as many combos as we can on ground hits and 5C > 2C > 2D on aerial hits. We lost some damage thanks to the 6C nerf but we get better oki with Sekkajin and I'll always favor oki over damage. We get a shitload of options in the corner this time around though and that makes up for it IMO. 3C > 214A > stuff into 4K in the corner, yes please.
  10. That 6C nerf is really going to hurt our combos. I loved doing mid-screen stuff that lead to the DP C loop. Something like... 5B (crouching hit) > 5C > 6C > DC > dashing 5C > DP B > dashing 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 2C > DP C. That will work near the corner but not from mid-screen like it used to -_- I can't wait to get my hands on him and see what I can whip up with the 6A and 214A combo options. I also still have a shred of hope that we can still do something after 6C aside from just 2D and 214C mid-screen. Expect the traditional combo video from me after about a week from the NA release date lol. I'll never get bored of playing as Jin. I said it before and I'll say it again... I'll stick with Jin until the end, even if he gets crippled by the nerf bat as he has now.
  11. Highly doubt that's the case, going from P1 90 to 77 is just too much.
  12. I was starting to worry that we would no longer have a side-swap combo off a j.B/j.2C/5C starter but we still do: 5B > 5C > Sekkajin > dashing 5C > 2C > 2D > dash under, reverse 6C > 214C.
  13. Kogatan no longer plays Jin? Well shit, first Tetsu and now Kogatan. I haven't seen Gaga or Kei play since CSII. Who the fuck do I watch now if I want to see some Japanese Jin gameplay? lol Shirushi man, don't let me down. Ren is loyal as fuck so I don't have to worry about him... I hope.
  14. ... I haven't played a competent Noel in forever, thank God for that. I don't think I can deal with those 2D to 4-5K shenanigans any more after knowing that she got nerfed pretty hard in CSX.
  15. No tips or strategies here. It's your gimmicks against its gimmicks, your resets against its resets, who pushes that j.C button first and lands a CH. It's all about who the better player is as well as your knowledge as a Jin player.
  16. Something that can be easily remedied by doing dashing 6Cs, which also makes it easier to use 5B in the combo as opposed to just 5A. An example could be... Forward Throw > dashing 6C > DP B > dashing 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 2C > DP C. People need to start getting used to adding dashes to combos as much as possible, doing so enables you to tack a bit of extra damage to them.
  17. I wonder if those 214A corner combos do more damage than the DP C loop. I can understand doing them close to the corner after something like 6C > DC > j.C > 214A but off a 5B/j.B starter, I would rather do the the DP C loop. Woah, woah, woah, woah... woah. Yukikaze catches lows now? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that Ragna's 2D is a low.
  18. Woot, thanks a lot. I can live with the damage nerfs if it means that we can combo off more stuff now, that and 5B and j.C are better this time around.
  19. So, does anyone know the full list of things that have changed from CSII to CSX? I know that her P1 was nerfed for a bunch of her highly damaging CSII starters, she's able to combo off a Bat and Cat Hammer CH, the bombs' trajectory can be controlled and you only get 3 of them now. That's about it though.
  20. Oh lol, gotta get my eyes checked. One would think that it would be too good to be true.
  21. It works in CSX, watch here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ux10yHTmuQ#t=1m57s Well shit, if we can still do 2D after 6C on crouching opponents then the 6C nerf isn't so bad now that Sekkajin can be worked into combos without ruining them. I wonder if 5C CH > 2D still works though, I'm guessing that it does.
  22. I'm doing 5B > 5C > Sekkajin > dashing 5C > 2C > sj.D > AD > j.2C > j.C > dashing 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C > 214C or 5B > 5C > Sekkajin > dashing 5C > sj.2C > j.D > AD > j.2C > j.C > dashing 5B > 2B > 5C > 214C when I get my hands on the game. Whichever builds more meter. I wonder if we can do 5B > 5C > Sekkajn > dashing 5C > 2C > 2D > dashing 6B > Sekkajin > 6C > 214C. Might be a bit of a stretch but it should build a bit of meter if it does work. Does 214A go over Tager's 2D or did it get him during recovery? I'm gonna go ahead and try it out, I could probably do that on reaction but it's not like Tagers use 2D that often.
  23. Agreed, j.B loop was stylish as fuck. Now it's just mash C > get combo.
  24. Meh, I'd rather watch the faithful Jin players (Ren, Tetsu, Kogatan, Kei, Gagaga, Shirushi) go at it than a bunch of random Jins that make me facepalm. Good riddance even if it means that we'll barely get to see Jin in action anymore. Quality > Quantity.
