I don't know about that, I guess I'll have to watch more videos and pay attention whenever someone avoids getting Guard Crushed by using Barrier.

Nope, her Hammer Guard Crushes in the final version and that's why we only get 2 item stocks for the Hammer now. However, while it Guard Crushes instantly, it doesn't take away 1/3rd of the opponent's Barrier like CTs do if they choose to Barrier to fend off the Guard Crush.

Canceling an attack on its start-up frames with a Barrier, usually done during a DD flash. So basically if the DD flash happens and my j.B is barely on its start-up frames, I can cancel it into a Barrier to avoid getting hit by a DD.

In theory, Stuff > 5C > Mami > 66 5C > 2C > Bubble > 6C > 22C > 3C > 236AXXA > Bubble Oki should work. Love TK Swallow oki, just as long as you do it in time to Barrier cancel or Kara Barrier the j.B lol.

Yeah, it's all about those items mid-screen. Stuff > 5C > 5D (Missiles/Bombs) > 66 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > 66 6A > Mami Stuff > 5C > j.D (Pan) > Stuff I just wanna see if the 236A (B finisher) ground bounce could allow you to do something other than a 5A pick-up. I wonder if they could make Stuff > 5C > Mami > 66 5C > 2C > Bubble > 6C > 22C > [5C > 6A > (j.)236AXXA] or [5C > j.C > (j.)236AXXA] > Bubble oki work. I like the Bubble route because it allows you to equip an item if you haven't already. If not then something like Stuff > Mami > 6C > 22C > 6A > 6B > 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > j.236AXXA > Bubble oki. The key here is doing (j.)236AXXA low to the ground so you can get the slide effect and setup Bubble oki. Edit: Ok, seeing that video, if you can end your combo with 3C > 236AXXA, then you should be able to setup Bubble oki. Now they just need to find a way to prolong the combo up until the 3C > 236AXXA part.

I saw something like that with a 2B starter, it did 3.3K but I don't remember the exact notations. I'm looking through the videos myself to figure out if 236A is the special that grants the whole slide/ground bounce properties. Air 236AXXX seems to be the same as before or maybe you have to be close to the ground in order to get the slide/ground bounce properties?

I think I remember someone saying that if you end a match during OD, you receive a 33% Burst gauge bonus next round.

Mid-screen combos aren't looking too hot. I've yet to see a Plat attempt a 5C > Rising j.C combo but that's maybe because it doesn't even work any more due to the supposed 5C attack level nerf. 6A doesn't launch anymore either. Looks like we'll just have to settle for ABC combos ending with Mami

Has 5C > 5D ever been airtight? I never gave it much thought until now since I would usually always use my Hammers for the loops. It's going to be fun doing 5A > 2A x N and having the opponent waste their Barrier in fear of getting Guard Crushed by 5D lol.

I saw a video where the Plat player attempted the Hammer Loop and it worked halfway... 5C > sj.B > j.C > JC > j.C > j.D > 5C... and then he tried to do 5C > JC > j.C for God knows what reason, so he dropped the combo. Still, I'll take a single rep of that thing if it comes down to that. I just hope that 5C > 3C works at least to setup Bubble oki.

Well some moves still have it so that you will instantly tech out (fuck, my Heart Car ). So I guess some SMP moves have more untech time than others. Sound effects and voice overs are serious fucking business, more important than discussing the actual gameplay lol. Here we have the Plat mains with this horrible Sena voice over but it's all good. I'm more concerned about her actual combos rather than pointless crap.

I'm guessing that the tech timing varies depending on the SMP move used. Plat's Heart Car can be teched instantly the 2nd time yet her 6B is more lenient when it comes to the tech timing (she was able to do 6B SMP > CDT).

I watched a couple more Plat matches and the regular presents go away on hit whereas the treasures remain even after getting hit.

I'm hoping that you can control where you want the present to drop in the same way that you can control where you want the bombs to land. Those presents look pretty godlike. Carl was in the middle of a combo and he stumbled upon a present, which broke his combo lol. The 236A distance coverage nerf might be more of a double-edged sword. It covers less distance which means less recovery, so using 236A to dodge stuff would be safer. The bad thing is that you won't be able to do 2C > 236A > 5C side swap anymore.

Ngggggh, missed it. I watched a bit of the stream last night but it was just people beating up the AI as Ragna, Tokaka, Bullet, Azrael, Bullet, and I think another Bullet so I said fuck it and passed out lol.
