Yeah, I'm not sure what I was thinking. Liz's damage is insane.

Disclaimer: This is (mostly) my opinion (e.g. it's based on what I've seen and read, but I'm still only one player) and not exactly what you were asking for. It's also nearly 2:40 am. Here you go though...: Oki Tiers: S: S. Labrys, Chie, Yu A: Kanji, Yukiko, Teddie, Aigis* B: Naoto, Akihiko, Mitsuru, Labrys C: Elizabeth, Yosuke Aigis doesn't have strong traditional oki, but she has Vampire Saviour level mixups and resets for oki situations (and in the middle of combos). I'm taking those into account as part of her oki game. Damage Tiers: S: Mitsuru, Akihiko, Aigis, Elizabeth A: Naoto*, Kanji, Labrys*, Chie, Yu B: Teddie, Yukiko, Yosuke, S. Labrys Characters marked with a star have very high situational damage output; Naoto with SMP loops and Labrys with Red axe. If I'm dead wrong on any of this, or anyone just wants to nitpick about it, I'm all for that. Accurate character breakdowns are important, and I'm not a top player by any means .

This will help: http://www.meltybread.com/forums/kohaku%27s-video-room/nicovideo-account-tutorial/ Atlus blew up the guy's account though.

If you never lose, you will never get better. It is possible to learn much more from any loss than a win.
-
If I remember correctly, the mook was written for 1.01, not 1.02, and the SMP loop hadn't been discovered yet. I'd take everything in it with a grain of salt.
-
As did AH3. Fortunately, both remember which characters were selected in the previous match, so I guess we can expect P4U to be the same way in that regard. Hopefully mashing start will select the same colors as before, though. Too many options to scroll through otherwise.

Fortunately, dual modding most sticks is really simple and quick these days. I'm buying on PS3, but most of my local fighting game scene overall is on 360.

[P4A] Naoto Shirogane - Gameplay Discussion "Ace Detective"

Oh, you're right - I thought I'd seen another "Counter!" message for the 214D hit, but it's not there upon rewatching it. -

Not exactly a match video, but I searched for "電波 P4U" on NicoNico, and got this: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm18351925 The description credits the combo at 1:22 to Denpa. It's... 214D (CH) -> 5BC -> Shoot x5 -> (super cancel) Mudoon -> (something - looks like a reload?)C -> 5D (kanji) -> 214C -> 236A -> 5D (more kanji) -> 236A -> 5C -> 236B -> 5C -> 236A -> IAD (I think) j.A j.C -> 5C -> 236A -> B Shot x5 Requires corner, does 6773 damage. Well, it's not the SMP combo, but honestly that could be patched out at any time. 6700+ is a pretty solid punish. If I had the Japanese move list saved or actually knew the language, it might be a little easier to decode the bits I can't read (which is most kanji, to be honest). -
I don't remember, I only played casuals for everything except Melty. Should have entered AH3 too though, I was shaking off the rust pretty fast in that game. It helps that Fiona's combos are mostly not hard though (I say mostly because of ef loops, which have quite possibly the most awkward timing of any combo I've ever considered close to BnB status).
-
I know this is super late and all, but Extend was at the last ReSe, as were AH3 and Melty. To be honest, I haven't played BB seriously since CS1, but I enjoyed myself in casuals even though I don't know Lambda combos more recent that TK Crescent (dash) 2DD loops or [6A 2147D]xN.
-
Who else is getting P4A?
-
I'm going to ReSe for Melty and maybe AH3, but I'm not planning on entering BB since I haven't played Extend at all. I hope it gets a decent turnout though... the last BB tournament I traveled to didn't even happen. @Robo: Aren't there some other players coming from that area you could carpool with?
-
I've found it easier to get local players (who are mostly coming from the SFIV series) into Melty than any other anime game (including not only BB/GG, but also Marvel) because it puts so much emphasis on footsies. That, and there's a pretty decent guide to help with the SFIV -> Melty Blood transition over on MeltyBread. I should point out that not all of the active Melty-playing groups post on MeltyBread, so ask in your local Dustloop and SRK threads too. As far as setting up matches goes, it's no harder than setting up matches for any other game. In fact, it's easier to transport a setup around for than any console game, assuming you have a halfway decent laptop. Button config isn't as good as it is for Arc System Works' games - you have to restart the game to rebind your buttons, but it's "push buttons to assign" style and as such still better than Capcom's "scroll through a menu" style.

There were some NC KoF players going, but I don't know about anyone going for any other games.

Well, I haven't posted here in a while, mostly since I got bored with BB and quit between CS1 and CS2. Pretty excited about the eventual release of AC+ on PSN though. I mean, it's not going to be great online, but anything that gets people back into Guilty Gear is a good thing. Also, if anyone near Boone happens to read this, we have weekly fighting game gatherings these days. Fridays, 5:00PM till 11 or whenever people have to go. Currently, the main games people play are UMvC3 and Melty, but there's interest in other stuff too. Get in touch with me if you want to know more.
-
There are several places where people get together for gatherings. Check the first post of the SRK thread... unless you mean one central location for everyone in the state, in which case I don't really think so. Oh, and if you're near Boone, I'm probably the guy you want to talk to.
-
I expect nukes, at least for her Astral Finish. Other than that, no clue how she'd play.
-
Guilty Gear is the best game, why did I ever pick up anything else after it?

Q&A about Joystick Building, Parts, and Purchasing
Narcowski replied to mr.mortified's topic in Hardware
If you want a 360-only stick, any TE is a good TE. If you want PS3 support as well (for tournaments), the Q4RAF is a great deal at $150. Normally, a dual mod will run you $50-60 if you're doing it yourself and already have all the tools. See http://www.focusattack.com/products/Qanba-Q4RAF-XB360-PS3-PC-Compatible-Joystick-PREORDER.html -
The new version of GGPO can be downloaded from http://ggpo.net/ggpo-build-030.zip - the link is all over the top of the forums. No need to use IRC or anything.

Why had I never played this before yesterday? It seems so good, and Hol Horse is pretty fun. In other news, I am awful.
-
I swear, this game's title still looks like AquaPizza to me. Other than that the gameplay trailers make it seem pretty solid.

People are still going to buy this when PSN comes back up, right? Wait, no. The store isn't coming up till (weeks) after PSN. People will buy it then though, I hope...
