Yohosie Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Tager is a big man, and i love a big man who grabs some defenseless skimpily dressed females haha knee drop the mother fuckers while speaking in your cool ass voice, tager-sempai
Mugen Tux Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Robot, Fedora, THE END HAS COME And Dizzy is just epic cute. Coincidentally, I love how they work.
Camalange Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Platinum is just a total goofball of a character who is both adorable yet also a playful parody of overly loli/magical girl characters. That's what first brought me to the character. She stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the cast and I find that hilarious. Her profane comments contrasting with her appearance is just golden. Her playstyle fortunately really clicked with me too. I like versatile characters and I found her random item based drive to be very interesting. There are very few things more satisfying than defeating an opponent with a little girl who proceeds to ride away on her flying carousel pony.
Lunar_Divider Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I put on a blindfold, spun around six times, and threw a dart at a giant fucking chart of characters to play. Coincidentally I got the worst fucking character in the entire game.
Narroo Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I put on a blindfold, spun around six times, and threw a dart at a giant fucking chart of characters to play. Coincidentally I got the worst fucking character in the entire game. Which is?
BeautyIsPower Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Relius was just no question for me. Love the character and the playstyle. That said I can't wait for Izayoi, my new main.
Lunar_Divider Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 ReliusI dropped that rain coat, fedora wearing green haired faggot when I realised he had no combos.
Dawn of Musou Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I think all I did in CT was mash Ice Car with Jin cause it was mapped to the right analog stick. Was too lazy to try anyone else back then so I stuck with him. Turns out I can be legit with him.
Velvien Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Tried out characters I liked in story mode. Taokaka baffled me, I didn't find Ragna particularly interesting, but Tsubaki clicked perfectly.
vmcoelho Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I picked Ragna since the first video i saw from Blazblue CT... liked the character design, gameplay style and etc... i always enjoyed playing rushdown/pressure characters so i sticked with Ragna for the rest of the games =)
Agni Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I am completely unashamed to say I that picked up Plat because she was a magical loli. But I ended up liking how she played so it's all good. With Lambda, it was because I had found myself interested in Nu, especially her drive (not because I could mash DDDDDDDDDDDD all day but because I liked the concept) back in the CT days but I didn't really get the time to play her. So when I got CSE I dedicated myself to learning Lambda. Plus, you know....robo-girl, man.
LeDom Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 At first, I tried to play Noel because she seemed like an easy character to pick up. Plus I liked her design But eventually, I got to find out my playstyle in fighting games was generally to rush down the opponent with melee attacks, so I switched to Makoto.
skooball Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Originally I was going to go Tao back in CT mainly because catgirl. Somehow I ended up going with Tager and played him up until halfway through Extend before I went soul searching trying out other characters before picking up Platinum as my new main. Platinum was the only one who I felt most comfortable with and rather enjoyed.
KayEff Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) I PLAY RAGNA CAUSE RAGNA TIME RAGNA TIME ALL THE TIIIIIIIIME Edited June 7, 2013 by KayEff
Venussail91 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I initially picked Litchi in CT because I thought her style would fit me best (since I usually base my character choice off style in fighting games) but I found it unexpectedly uncomfortable. My second choice was Rachel (partially for personality reasons) and I just felt sooooo much more comfortable with her style, so I stuck with her (yes, even through CS1). I actually got into GG after BB. My initial choice was Dizzy since I was looking for a zoning type who was female (as females usually fit me best) but at the recommendation of a friend I ended up maining Testament. As for P4A, again I was looking for a zoning type and I did NOT want to use Elizabeth (her style didn't even remotely interest me), so I chose Yukiko.
wiredgod Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I like playing characters no one else plays because I dislike mirror matches and it lets me explore more uncharted territory in games.
Martian Buddy Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) I've always had a fondness for playing grappler characters in fighting games, ever since I was a little kid and picked Jack-2 constantly in Tekken, so finding a main (Tager/Bullet) has never been a challenge for me. Plus it's always so much more satisfying to me to win with a grappler than any other playstyle, since grapplers are so rarely higher than mid tier, and that's if they're really good. That and grapplers also almost always have the best personalities in games. Edited June 7, 2013 by Martian Buddy
beanwich Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 When I got my first BB game, which was CSII, I mostly played Platinum and Makoto because I thought they were both super-cute, and they are! But then I tried God-Troll Hazama, because I thought it might be fun to try a male character, and I loved him. I really love his design, his personality, and his play style. For the win.
floatwater Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Uhh i picked the booby lady first. Then Jin in CT. shortly after when CS came i just played ragna, so i kinda didn't really explore the cast. i just stuck to whatever felt natural.
ozzy830 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) The reason I play Rachel was because I said to myself when getting CSII (I'm gonna watch the opening and pick who Awesome!!!) Then I saw her sipping that tea, I already knew... In P4A I first mained Liz because I wanted to play a zoner (since Rachel was a partial zoner/rushdown) Then I played P4G and my fav characters are Kanji and Chie. I'm not the grappling type of person so I switched to Chie since I dont really care about Liz (I played P3P and still dont consider her a favorite to me). she is hilarious but I perfer Chie (Its the meat that beat you!) and Kanji (This is how a man does it!) lol. Edited June 8, 2013 by ozzy830
Primiera Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Started with Makoto because she was more or less the basis for my true love, P4A Chie. Eventually I became disinterested in her due to her actually sharing very little in common with Chie, and switched over to Taokaka since she's so good at rushdown and mid-range, and IMO she's more flashy. I'm very happy with Taokaka, and for some reason she's getting buffed in CP so ... #TIERWHORE
Camrac Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Playing Hakumen since British super knights are cool. Besides, I come from a solid Street Fighter background - I might as well use a footsie character. Additionally, Tager is sub par along with the red haired women. That just leaves yankees, and there doesn't seem to be one in BB outside of Azrael (who I haven't gotten to play yet). So yeah, recap: Grapplers: No good. Red Haired Women: No good, either (supposedly - we'll see when CP drops on console) Yankees: Maybe Azrael Bottom-line, I'm really just waiting for a red haired, yankee, mobile grappler girl to be added to the roster. lol
A Classy Gamer Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Say, I have a question for this thread. Some of my favorite characters in other games are Faust and Anakaris. Now, I've been playing Arakune for a while and really like the character, but is there a character that plays similar to Faust or Anakaris?
