Bama had a great showing for it to be our first time playing a major for blaz. Skeletal minion got 4th place and i got fifth. Bama in the house! Sadly this seems to be the last real major tourney for CT. Good games to everyone I played

FlyMike Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Goddamn GG was hype!! Haven't played in so long, felt refreshing to play a REAL fg (besides Tek) again even though I got worked lol. Good shit to everyone. Sucks me/Espada/Memphis couldn't enter singles because we had to leave before teams finished. But this weekend was exhausting, yet cool. You peeps need to really keep GG alive at these tourneys. Maybe it'll get a revival. BB, let it die......

There were some really skilled players representing almost every character in BB, and I feel like I got some great experience. It was also pretty cool meeting some of the people from the forums. Most of them are super nice in person and generally great guys. I can't wait for the next tourney, and I definitely can't wait for CS. Congratulations to everyone that placed--especially Doren. You deserved it, man.

I can't say our matches were fun, but they were challenging! You play the matchup well, and you've got my respect for that. You were also fun to just hang out with. FIGHTING MACHINE! AlphaKami - You were mad chill, and I'm sad we didn't get to play more friendlies. Tell your friend I'm sorry we didn't get to play the friendlies he wanted, but I never saw him in the rotation. Boss - Mad fearless Bang, man. I don't know that I could just run up and overhead someone into super without hit confirming with a combo. Good matches! XD Kid Viper - Why didn't we get any friendlies, man? You were around often enough, and I know you're straight on some CT, but still. XD LordKnight - Never played a Litchi quite like yours before. It was a really enlightening experience, and gave me a greater appreciation for the character. Adonis - aaaaaaaa Rachel has stupid fast mixup and ridiculous damage output. Why won't you just stand still and let me hug you in the sky? ;~; Jan - I know you're on that CS now, but I still would have liked to see you play CT in tournament. You would have done well. SolidPlay - Grats on placing well! Wish we could have gotten some casuals in, though. Heidern - Thanks for running the tournament. It went smoothly, and you were very helpful whenever I needed anything. Everyone else - You know I love ya! Hope to see everyone again in the future!

It's funny how the characters that put me out were Tager and Hakumen:vbang: LOL I will be so glad when CS come out especially after playing it a little at FRXIII on some dudes laptop. I had my headphones on when I was watching, so I didn't hear this directly, but I heard afterward that they agreed to split the pot for 1st/ 2nd. Didn't see many players from midwest/ westcoast maybe they're waiting for Devastion/ EVO? There were over 60 people signed up for GGAC, but several people had to leave before or during the singles tourney (this one guy from Florida had to leave, because his ride wanted to head back, sucks that GGAC got pushed back to Sunday), that probably left 50-60 players. It was hard to get casuals going for guilty gear. The hotel made everyone sign an agreement to pay $150 each time they caught people playing games in their rooms and the TVs had plastic covers screwed/ nailed into the input panel to prevent people from hooking them up. So only a few of the people that drove had setups in their rooms. Saturday we had no setup in the game rooms until like 4 in the afternoon when we got Heidern to use his staff powers and claim a TV for us.

Coming from a place were im the only person carrying the whole community of Blazblue and only having PR Balrog as my student for sparring is quite rewarding after placing 3rd. Now for the shoutouts! Desu: Your Tager rocks! No wonder I had to timeout our match in the tourney! I hope to be able to fly again and meet the BB crew from GA. I know for sure that you WILL LEVEL UP against any Nu you meet if we get to practice often from now on. :D Skele Hakumen player: You might had all those people behind you cheering you and making me feel the pressure, but i had PR Balrog coaching on my side to relax and kill time after that first rape you gave me on the character select screen. Definitely one of the toughest matches i had to play after realizing you can't burn your magatanas on me against 6D full screen and Hakumen's horrible hop dashes. Good shit dog! Mako: Sorry you had to leave to Florida early. Still it was nice to see you back from Tampa. Hope we ccan tag next time! All Litchi players: Thanks to you lot of people came to me to give props for blocking retarded block strings!! Lordofknight is awesome. Too bad we coudnt play on tourney match. Ivysaur and all of the Carl army peeps: That was good shit you show there. Incredible that i lost my 2 matches in the tournament by the 1st and 2nd Carls. It's really good to notice that there's no perfect defense against Carl when he just need to land that loop for MASSIVE DAMAGE. Anyways, i coudn't run enough to guard break you all XD.
