You see Carls like eesuke doing 7k from a 3c at the start of the game against noel and then proceed to lose the round coz he cant get a single hit afterwards. Then you see Dio who did not do a single combo over 3k but he actually wins (some). I think the most damage Dio did was off a jB FC. He did tick throw with N-O-C and still couldn't follow up with a combo lol. Then he proceeded to lose that round because he got timed out since he dropped that combo haha. Oh Dio Didn't get to see a single souji/kyaku game before they were kicked off, fml =(

Oh Carl.... oh, i didn't mention about Dio's "fake mixups" (as I like to call it) with his 6C ender into another 6C/low... which everybody knows about by now and just lets him follow up after the 6C and recover midway through that combo lol. It was very entertaining

I actually got a Volante and 4D rep in tournament grand finals! I was very happy. There's a sense of accomplishment to doing that combo outside of training mode lol. /tooting my own horn.

It's rare that I actually get a starter in a real match that will get me volante and 4D, so I usually just get a volante rep and then allecan j.B j.C 8D, but this time I actually got a good starter! I think it was CH 623D if I'm not mistaken. ...or something. lol.
Zoogstin Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 If I hit can hit my opponent with a 2D before the 7th hit of a combo and I didn't start the combo with a 5A or 2A then I'm going for the volante and 4D combo. Otherwise I'm with you and I just go for a volante.

And then i usually regret it because I'll probably fail and pay for it =( Otherwise, volante allecan jbc8d/5cjb8d is the way to go lol. Although off certain combos, you can't even do that... you need to do the j2cjcdjb8d... regardless... the point is i can't do my combos lol. sadface =(
ZONG_one Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Zeero D: The way I've been practicing is going into ranked while waiting in training mode with Carl. and I practice Carl combos, then play like arakune or hakumen or lambda in ranked. then go back to practicing Carl combos after the match. :]

I guess I'll have to sit through training mode and work on 2B starter combos. D: Lol I hate 2B. I do hit a lot of people with it out of jump startup though. Maybe they're trying to jump out of 5B > IAD? I'll see them blocking 5B low, then get hit by 2B which makes no sense to me unless it's jump startup.

Usually only get them if people are being dumb, like tagers who 5D spam nirvanna 9_9' side note, what's proration like oh 4D as a starter? I like to use it as a cross up reset when i can. looks flashy XD

J.B timing right. i seem to over-shoot it often get that wonderfully mashed out 5b-6b auto gatling. i would love it if they got rid of that. it's not THAT hard to go 5B 6B->buffer a direction+D for nirvana to release in c.c
