Spark Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 SO what you're saying is, so that I understand completely, is that not only are the autoguard active frames for hakumen's slashes later on than what is written in the frame data. Not only that but, 2c's area to cut projectiles is not actually where the sword is but rather closer towards hakumen's own hitbox during the move. Correct? Well the frame data is right as far as I know for when Hakumen will cut projectiles. But, yes I'm saying because the frame ranges for cutting listed don't match up with the active frames for the sword attack, they probably don't the same hit box. If this is the case then does this mean that 2c will always lose to some projectiles, are the frames that actually cut projectiles cut properly as hakumen's other slashes, and will the cutting frames still clash with moves like hazama's 5d? No, 2C will not always lose to projectiles it will just be really difficult to cut projectiles because of how small the projectile cutting hit box is. The only reason 2C will clash with projectile/physical moves is because the projectile/physical move like Hazama's chain is clashing with Hakumen's sword's hit box before it touches the projectile cutting hit box. I think this is what you're asking for the last question, I'm not 100% sure.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 You pretty much answered all my questions thanks. One last thing, where are the autoguard frames located and how big are they exactly?
Spark Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 The auto guard frames are listed in the frame data. If by how big you mean how big the hit boxes are, I have no idea.

Sophisticat Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 CS Haku Hitbox Viewer. 2c is @ 1:17. I've no idea which is the "cutting" hitbox.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 It's not shown. Lol because it doesn't exist. /end complaining like a 5 year old Man, hakumen made me realize how much I just how much complain about fighters...
Warhound Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 So, Haku's throw slides now. That'll look cool at least... Could combo in the corner without use of any stars. That might be cool.
Sophisticat Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Looks like new Haku is going to be about single hits mid-screen that push into corner. Then the mixup rape begins. I might like this new version. :3 4c being super fast and cancellable is lol, it just makes it easier to push into the corner (blocked 4c -> kishuu -> throw -> ???? -> profit!).
Warhound Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Woah, where did it say that 4C is gonna be cancellable? My god, the posibilities... I'm gonna be rolling when I see how fast 4C and j.C are gonna be.

Looks like Blade might finally be CS2 saltless, let's hope I am when it's released.
mjting Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Can anyone confirm if our herp derp combo at wall with renka is still possible? like 5c>renka>5b/2c>j.2a>>>stuff still possible?

Tofu Warrior Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 4C was special cancelable in early CS1 loke tests, but it was removed because the devs thought it was too broken lol. Well now it's back and it's faster. I can see a lot of 4C xx Gurren, 3C in Tager's future. At the same time though, 4C still retains its unique property of being CHable at every point in the moves animation, so that shouldn't be so bad. That's my contribution to the thread. Now for the off-topic part of my post; Brice expressed interest in travelling to Toronto for end-of-the-year regional tournament on December 18th. It's been confirmed that all of our top players will be there like Pui (Carl player), Hermes (Arakune). Any other MTLers interested in making the trip?

mjting Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Loketest thread says no followups for both grab types except if on corner? I was thinking of something along the lines of grab>renka>enma>stuff.....well, if it still was possible. oh well.
Re4L14124c Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 @mjting: From the information about the supposedly BBCSII changes (in the news thread in general), it's actually quite the opposite; backthrow is now comboable normally at corners, amongst other things.
SimpleKiss Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I honestly don't know how to react to the changes. CSII is going to be a whole new game, and there's no way I can say how I feel about it until I've actually sat down with the game.
mjting Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Okay boys, let's keep our fingers crossed for decent haku changes.
mAc Chaos Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Anyone want to take a crack at translating Haku stuff?
banshee Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 [09:16] <jiyuphone> Hakumen did 2500 off 4c for 3 stars [09:16] <jiyuphone> No big deal I guess this is confirmation that 4C > 214A > 623AA > etc. works. Granted, the damage isn't that high, but the ability to carry the opponent into the corner off a fast, long range hit is a huge buff IMHO and a very nice tool in Haku's arsenal

Granted, the damage isn't that high, but the ability to carry the opponent into the corner off a fast, long range hit is a huge buff IMHO and a very nice tool in Haku's arsenal If Hakumen's meter gain is even slower, I doubt we'll see people burning 3 stars off a 4C too often for 2.5k damage unless to finish. Then again, it also depends on just how much everyone's damage got nerfed relative to Hakumen's. But we'll see.
banshee Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 [...] I doubt we'll see people burning 3 stars off a 4C too often for 2.5k damage unless to finish. True, that's why I said its main advantage is to carry people into the corner. In CS you need to be close to do that (unless CH) or throw out random Gurrens. Besides, 623AA loop should return at least 1 star, even in CS II.
