Hi ya'll being a rachel main, trying to stick with her is gettin a bit rough on my expenses having to win 1 out of 8 matches. and i've always been meaning to learn new characters but to the point, which characters do ya'll feel can be practiced using CT. just to learn bnb's and general gameplay. cuz it's tough to practice when people are beating your ass down with their ragna, litchi, or bang mains

Huuuh? I can't see how Bang can be, for the most part. His CS combo's make his CT combos look like jokes. His moves have higher levels, and several things go together, that simply can't in CT. I'd say Jin, though. As long as you know you can't get away with black combos, nearly as often. :psyduck:

just stick with bnb combo's it be alright. oh yeah carl just drop the clap loop voila.

litchi can't combo from her dp no more i thinks so its a combo ender... hakumen's bnb's are different too i thinks.

I think the reason why Bang was suggested earlier is because you can play him CT style and still get results. Same with Ragna, and to an extent Tager. I disagree with the earlier suggestions of Jin, Litchi, and Hakumen.

CT Bang works in CS, but you'll still need to learn bnbs all over again. Dunno anything about Hakumen. I don't know anything about Litchi. A friend who used to main him says she's way easier in CS though. If she was difficult to pick up in CT, then that means she's considerably different in CS. Carl looks the same sans clap loop and new projectile. Jin is entirely different. Ragna, just end his air bnbs with Berial Edge instead of ID into knockdown. His 5C is faster but shorter, as well as his 2C but it's a Fatal. His Dead Spike takes out a primer.

Carl can be practiced in CT, a lot of the things players do often now could also be done in CT, but no one bothered to explore/use them because of his infinite. A major example is 2]D[ loops.

CS seems to be more of a defensive game if you're not playing one of the top 3. Go ahead and just use the char you want and work on IBing, blocking, and countering.

such a sad statement coming from a game that encourages offensive tactics lol, negative penalty anyone?

maybe i'll try out bang, since i guess i like approaching with projectiles

can't play tager cuz i can't 360 for the life of me.

does the "new nu" play all that differently? all i know about her is she gots that tackle move and her swords are shorter range

man, 2nd day learning bang, got a 10 win streak at AI lol. he is way too good. cuz i'm a pretty scrubby player

This threads kind of a moot point. You can practice your "CS combos" in CT, but you won't get any matchup experiance, which is much more important IMO. When you sit down to play CT, just play CT. Especially if you're a console only player, cause this shit's not gonna hit the shelves for another 6 months.

Noel seems the same to me so yeah I'll stick with her.

Don't listen to this guy.

Anyways, Ragna/Bang/Tager play semi-alike to their CT counterparts...you just have to incorporate the new stuff that each character got. Belial edge for Ragna...Gadget finger for Tager...

And oh yea, work on IBing, so important in this game especially against top 3.

Practice to get better at the game in general. Learn good fighting game habits. Knowing how to do a bnb or tricks doesn't mean shit if you can't land them in the first place.

i just made this thread so i can figure out who would be good to just get my feet wet with using CT. of course I'm not gonna learn matchups or even proper inputs or combos to memorize (finding out bang's 4C is now 4B), its cuz I know playing characters like Litchi or Tao for the first time would be very difficult to try and get a grip on just only playing at the arcade. gotta learn to walk before you run.

How well is Toakaka for a transfer?

um if you got a grasp on taunt combo's then its not too much.

Hmmm...Are there any characters in CT that could be used as practice for the new characters in CS? I have a feeling that a Jin player wouldn't take too much time adjusting to play as Hazama, but I have no idea about Tsubaki.

uh.... have you tried out CS? I don't think it's a good idea AT ALL to attempt that.

hazama and tsubaki don't really play like other characters do.
