CopperDabbit Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 Dacid, Ideally, I'm going to try and get the arcade to set the machine to event mode, like during the tournaments. That way I can just stay on the machine and won't lose any extra money. The other option is to have them stay there, and I just try again. There are definitely still some issues I need to work out, this among them. Everything is still kinda in the idea phase right now...

Oh I just thought of it, If you wanted to make it an easy transition for everyone who would go to SVGL, we could probably just replace one of the 2v2s with the CDC and go from there. Would that be doable?
Zaido Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 depending on what day you hitting up AI, i try to make it, and see if i can get my friends to come along as well... I haven't seen you dabbit... since..... i forgot wcw1? lol...
CopperDabbit Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 We could definitely do that james, but I like the tourny and would rather keep it around if possible. There's already two saturdays a month that don't have anything going on tourny wise, so I think it would be easiest to do it on one of those days.
Dacidbro Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Oh, can event mode still cost credits? I didn't actually think that was the case. That would undeniably be the best way to do it, if so.
Leo7 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Pretty sure event mode doesn't have credits. If anyone finds out otherwise though, do tell, people here in Toronto are interested in knowing. p.s. Copper, come to Canada
RinHara5aki Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 It depends on when, but count me in for an SVGL CDC gathering.
mooyang90 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Put me down as confirmed if you are traveling to AI. Time to read up on Arakune lol.
Mike Z Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I'll come to the AI one, and I'll make you leave broke. (^.^) But don't worry, you can stay over at my apartment, and I'll probably loan you some of the money-that-was-previously-yours for gas. :^) Actually, if you want, you could have a 2nd one here (which would be free games for maximum profit to your opponents), PM me if you're interested / have an extra weekend.
koogy Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I recommend you just grind your combos, and then learn like 1 or 2 basic mix-ups. Should be enough to beat the best players in America. just kidding I support your endeavor! Good luck!
Dacidbro Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Stop telling them I'll never win a tournament again if everyone else does it
Mike Z Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I'll never win a tournament againHow prophetic! <3 Also yes, Event Mode can still cost credits, whoever asked that.
RinHara5aki Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 here's my mixup *holds 7 and mashes c* 1337. :3 DONT GIVE UP ON BB!! :333
IkeTakeda Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I want to challenge the great dabbit :D Im down for the bug party.
Xie Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Hey, cool. Let me know when you're coming to AI (PM or something), so I can get the machine set for you. Or, maybe I can even throw an event the same day to help get things going. Though, can event mode really cost credits? The main reason I've been charging venue is because scott told me it couldn't.
Kenny tuty Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I don't want the money, but I'll try to go there just to play with you. Pretty sure you'll need litchi experience to go through the tourney too. haha I guess it's time for me to start playing again.
Mike Z Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 WAIT I am wrong about Event Mode, in CS it can't cost anything. (O.o) Wheeee....
Zaido Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Event mode is basically both people game over when the match is over. While free play is like regular mode whenthe winner stays on. Both Are basically free. Just event mode works better in this context then free play mode
TheBiter Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 that is some dedication...but there are easier ways (cheaper too) to get stronger
CopperDabbit Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 A few examples would be quite helpful Biter. Could you elaborate?
