In what sort of situation? why would you TK it in the first place?

If Tager sees it, you can probably get 2C'd on ice blades startup and eat a fatal.

After gadget finger (I should have asked which of Tager's option would beat TK ice sword, sorry for that). Dunno why, it just seems kind of good. Throw invul (airborne), has a weird trajectory so maybe can escape Atomic Collider? Make Tager block if he normal jump, dunno if same applies to super jump but anyway the recovery is not too bad? I never see a Tager sledge after gadget finger before. Will probably be beaten by 5A but then again 5A air hit is pretty lol. Trade with 5D maybe? I don't have evidence for any of this though, so feedback from a Tager player would be nice.

imm, im guessing it would lose to AC and 5a. personally if i hit a jin doing that with 5a id 5a > AC (i think that works) and you would end up in gadget setup again minus some health.

Yeah, the startup for the move is too long. Tager can just 5A you on your jump. And AC would just pull you in again. I just wouldn't risk any TK swords.

gadget finger is just like rock paper scissors. guess right u wont eat a reset. guess wrong u sometimes waste meter and u will:vbang: eat a reset

best advice I can give you is don't spend your whole time pressuring tager...your going to do something he can punish and he is going to hit you for it.

save your heat, you need to scare him with something when he gadgets.

funny thing 360A can beat D DP if its delayed...720 probably can too but don't expect that to happen much.

Since my comment got deleted and I received an infraction when I wasn't doing anything wrong, I'll ask a specific *question*.

I am new to using Jin as a sub. How would a new player go about fighting someone like Tager? I want to get better with Jin. I have some of his basic/intermediate combos down, just have to keep practicing them.

Ok, first of all, don't get scared of his 360/720. Yes, you should know it's there and you should bait it, but that shouldn't make you get scared of him. Use your 6B as a bait (not all the time though, Tager can collider you during the 6B animation). As long as your block string is tight, he can't do anything about it. Be on the lookout for the Tager IB'ing, since this is your cue to bait or jump away > j.C.

J.C is a very good tool to keep him at bay, since Tager doesn't really have an answer to it (unless you're too close).

Do not spam projectiles because he can sledge through them (although you can use this as a bait sometimes).

Also note that Tager is one of the characters you can do 3C > 236D on. This allows you to do jump > high / low / throw / bait 360/720 mixup.

As in, do 3C > 236D, do a running jump forward, then one of the following: airdash forward > j.B (for air-high mixup)> j.2C > ground blockstring, land > 2B (for low mixup) > ground blockstring, land > 6A (ground high mixup), or land > throw. The airdash mixup is probably the safest one, since Tager can't 360 / 720 you. He can backdash though, so be careful. It's all about educating him to not spam these things.

So as you can see, there's a lot of stuff Jin can do against Tager ^_^

5C delayed on block into another 5C is pretty decent. I've recently started doing this to Tager players. Tagers normals are really slow, so i go fishing for a lot of CH's.

if you go into teh air above him, he can hit you with 2C for a fat combo, so don't be too reckless with jumps near him. outside of that, just stay out of his range, and anytime he walks/sledges into your range, punish with j.C and 5C or maybe your dragon punches if 5C would be too slow. Hit confirm into combo. Otherwise just lame it out :)

Whenever i do jumping mixups i usually BB so i can punish his crouching for a good damaging combo

if he sees it and doesnt do anything it just resets my pressure so i can continue

not sure how safe this is though

Sorry for the scrub-ness, but I don't exactly get what you mean here. What do you mean it gives Tager oki (I'm assuming Tager since you play Tager)? How does 5A or jumping (on Jin's part, I'm assuming) give Tager oki?

if you do repeated 5C after it get blocked... he'll answer with jumping or 5A and you'll get hit by that and he get to end his combo with GF.

Guys. I didn't means using it over and over :( usually after a blocked 5C since a lot of Jin players like to Jump cancel after 5C, a Tager player sometimes responds to jump cancel 5C with Collider or a 2C fatal or even 5A. That's when I hit a second 5C instead. Does that make sense?

No but I do have magic.

Zeal pretty much explained how it works, I was just saying that we can beat it.

Far as I'm concerned jin should be spacing tager constantly and always looking for spark, only rushing him down when you make him too scared to poke.

Thats how the match up works when I deal with jins.

Not saying you can't rush down of course, just not as safe as it used to be.
