Yeah, either Nu is reanimating as the replacement Mu, or Saya dons the Sword of the Imperator armor, either option is pleasing.

chances are nu is going to go back to normal and replace lambda. I had not thought about Saya replacing mu though, that would be pretty cool.

Also the way noel's drive works makes a lot of sense, the concept itself is not wrong. It's just that like certain other things in the game, ASW still has no friggin clue how to balance it properly.

This is how you do it.

Now you know how to talk like Huey.

The alternative could be Noel using Mu as a super form, like during the final battle Noel faces Litchi, and in an effort to lower Noel's resolve Litchi places her panda between her breasts and taunts Noel with both assets. Noel has a BSOD and turns into Mu and kicks some ass.

Damn, time to main Noel just to see the henshin scene whenever she fights Litchi. :D

And I hope they don't just bring back Nu with just the D swords. Cause Mu and Nu are nothing alike save for the fact that they're zoners. I hope they'll find a way to replace Mu's playstyle in the next game. I really like the idea of Saya becoming playable, if they decide to go that route.

Or make ξ-14 the new Mu, whatever works.

Ugh.

PNW set a record. 7 meets in 7 days.

This is why we da gawds. We play like we get paid for it.

Woah, that's a lot of meets, in MTL we only do 2-3 per week.

I'd be curious to see the color palette they'd use for the new Mu if she's "replaced" by Saya. I just hope she doesn't get Justice'd/Kliff'd in the next game.

I just noticed that the latest vids from tachikawa had 0 playing tsubaki. :(

Hope he's just subbing her...the last video of Nao I remember was him playing Makoto. :vbang: I wonder if any Mus will even qualify for SBO...

Mu is pretty good, but two of her worst matchups are among the high tiers so... yeah...

With H.H not playing in the final bouts of the B2 block I doubt Mu with qualify for SBO, though I'm not really suprised, she's a super complex character, and they haven't had her for that long.

-Your saftey bubble, there are times when you can throw out projectiles and stuff, but more times when you can't.

-The ranges on important pokes, mainly 5c, j.b/c, 2b and airthrow. Yeah. Mu's airthrow counts as a poke, at least to me. That thing is godlike.

-Using delayed projectiles, unless you've done it before, it can be rather akward. But try out things like 6[d], then some blockstring, and see where the stein hits, then try and set up cool stuff with that extra blockstun such as safe overheads, gapless pressure between big moves, stuff like that.

Combos are combos, nothing special there.

On another note; I issue you guys a challenge! How many steins can you get out in 20 seconds of a match?

Thank you! Now I know more of what to do other than just practicing combos in training mode and pretending to myself I know Mu even though I don't haha :D

I'm secretly trying to learn Mu. Where do I start?

1.Learn corner combos off 2A,2B,6B, 3C, and grab and midscreen combos off 2C CH, air-to-air j.C CH, and air grab RC.

2.Learn when to press/hold D and cancel into 236A, 236D, or jump back

3.Don't use 6C or 214D outside of combos/setups until you get a better feel for the rest

4.????

5.Profit!

In training, in a casual, or in a tournament? If I get recorded at ECT this weekend I'll try that last one.

Would someone be willing to train with me so I can get better with Mu? I find her tough to get used to, even though I know some of her combos. .__.

I HIGHLY doubt I'd be a very good trainer, I'm still learning myself, but I can offer some general advice. :3

I switched form Lambda to Mu myself. Mu is NOTHING like Lam, and is a really tough character to just pick up. Just knowing combos is one thing, but she's much more than that. She can't zone nearly as well as Lambda. Unlike Lam her damage doesn't come from her zoning but from her scary corner game and her oki. It was a TOTALLY different thing going from Nu/Lam to Mu for me. I personally found I liked her more, because she was such a strong mindgame character..she was just really interesting and gave me more to do than just zone all day. But I also found she's way more work, with Lambda I found I could learn combos and just run and pick up decent damage just from zoning. But with Mu that isn't the case at all. You really have to scare your opponents. It's all about lockdown and spacing with her and not so much zoning. Although she does zone.

The best thing you can do is to start leaning her pressure and her setup game. Her combos are completely useless without those. Learn how to create and maintain your laser wall, and how to gain momentum. Learn to find time to set up steins, and don't ever try to play her without them. These are an AMAZING tool. Also, unlike Lambda she has a reversal that she can use at any time. And it's good...very good. Just don't get baited, it's pretty punishable. (But really, what reversal isn't.)

But yeah, learn lockdown, learn setups. Learn to devour your opponents delicious guard primers ahaha.

Anyways, all that aside...the main reason I ended up dropping Lambda entirely was because I personally found I enjoyed Mu more, but she was a lot of work for use as sub character. I've been playing her for like half a year and I still don't feel anywhere near good enough yet. Expect to have to put a lot of time in if you want to be good with her, but she's TOTALLY worth it imo.

I'd train with you but I still have a terrible connection with pretty much anyone in the Mainland since I'm all the way out in Hawaii. :( I've since stopped playing online and switched to offline casuals.

If you want I can play with you online. But online can only get you so far. I suggest you hit up your local scene since there's SKD, Zidane, and LK all in that general NY area. A good thing to do is to learn your combos then apply them in your matches. Just because you can do a combo in training mode doesn't mean you can land it in a real match. But yea...Mu will take a while to learn and get good with but she's really fun to play as.

I can do them online but sometimes I drop them. I don't want to switch from Lambda-I just want to have her as a submain while Mu is my main. I played like 300 matches with Mu in player. But I'm gonna keep practicing. :eng101:

Today is the first time that i got a pm from someone in psn complaining how irritating it was to play mu after he lost twice in succesion when he was using noel . Probably because none of his 2d and 4d mashing were succesfull and i was running away the whole time, so he could not get too close all the time.

But i was suprised that she can slightly zone noel if you are in air above her optical barrel range
