I was looking forward to when the game when they announced it, and I even watched Chaos;Head & Stiens;Gate in anticipation of it coming out in February (S;G is godlike though). I still kinda wanna play it, and I'll buy it whenever it comes out, just to main Kurisu .

Got an order confirmation from Amazon today, stating that this game won't get released until early January of 2013. :\

It was originally slated for March, so not yet, but I ordered it January 5th (or 6th, something like that) and my scheduled delivery is after that, so it's broken a year-long wait period for me.

I believe this game was secretly cancelled a while ago. Shame too, because I wanted to do Kurisu infinites all day long.

This game is already out in Japan, but 7-Sixty can't seem to get their shit together or something. I dunno. I doubt we're going to see it in America if things keep up like this.

But yeah the NA release was based on the (at the time) new update which did indeed hit Japan shortly before the game;s 1st planned international release

Also Gamestop has removed the listing for this game altogether ; w; For as much progress they made (translations, implemented patch, releasing production material, public testing, ESRB rated), I wonder what ended up holding the 7Sixty release back?

maybe they realized it was cheaper to cancel the release of a game that wouldn't sell as opposed to fully releasing it

lol but considering how much money (they must have) put into it already, you might as well have released it.

And seeing how it was only being sold as the Special Edition they could've made it a true limited print and maybe brought back through enough demands/secondary pre-orders. Also ALOT of people were looking forward to this release, it's fanbase was (no surprise) niche but very supportive and vocal. Even now tons of users are asking on their Facebook/Twitter what's up with the canceled pre-orders.

The Amazon cancellation thing happened back in August, too. I want to say it was to Canadian orders? 7sixty came back later and said it wasn't cancelled. We'll have to see what happens in this case.

And as for Gamestop not having it listed anymore, I think that's been delisted since late September. A bunch of people reported pre-order cancellation calls from Gamestop at the time.
