Managing that with match up gonna be tricky but fun. Over all a great and fun character who can really be good character to play just to help develop as player. (well most low tier does)
soujiro seta Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I finally used her extensively today, carl got not a single second of my time. I love tsubaki. She is so fun to use. Her concept and style of fighting is very unique. I like how her rushdown is very different from the other rushdown characters. I also love using her 23698C during my mixup it looks so damn flashy, and then I go in for a tick throw, 2a spam, 6a, or block to bait out a response. I'm overdoing they way I'm playing her, i know, but i'm having so much fun right now. I really wish I don't become addicted too much lol. I'm still trying to adjust to CS carl so hopefully she doesn't take over his spot.
Sadeyo Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Tsubaki has Arcana Heart play style. Repeated A, B, C, and D but the drive being an unblockable to some new properties. Tsubaki may not be able to home in on her enemy but what makes her style slightly better then some of the Arcana Heart characters is that she capable of rapid cancelling. (Maybe an Arcana permits rc. I haven't used them all.) All in all my brief experience with her she could be a real fighter.

I just say they should up her damage and give her Charge Storing for the balance patch. nothing more, nothing less.

Few mixup things: 2369c whiff is really hot off a JCable move. 3c, j.d, falling j.b is kind of cool. Can also j.d and whiff j.c then go low. If you ever get a good jump in chance, j.c is really good mixup. Once they block j.c you can either do the j.cc hella late or land and go low/throw. Can do 5a/2a->recover->kara throw as a good tick throw. If they catch on I'm pretty sure you can just do 5a/2a->6c to go for the fatal counter combo. Uh, does anyone know if the Tsubaki frame data is up somewhere yet? I don't think it is up in the guides section on DL iirc.

Yggjrasil Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I just saw first hand Ginsing doing a combo that did 4k+ of my life. It was pretty awesome indeed. too bad it was all for naught though,but still it was extremely impressive I was rather shocked that Tsubaki could do that much from one counter hit

Is anyone else stuck at 93% on tsubaki's story with the true ending still incomplete? I've finished everyone elses story(that I can) but my rush for mu is cut short due to a case of not knowing what the hell I'm missing. Beaten every character, lost to every character, distortion'd every character, astral'd every character. Out of Idea's. I'm sure it's something simple and easy that I'm just not seeing, so let me know if you've got an idea.

Sol.Badguy Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Hmm, it just says pick first option, which is what I do, but it ends up with the same thing and says "alternate ending blah blah possiblility of continuum shift" maybe I had to beat someone else's story b4 it would let me finish hers. I'll try it again.

Shaffler Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Well, the toughest one of her trials is probably the second combo in Mission 6 since you really have to be precise. Which Mission are you having problems on? If I may take a guess, I take it you're stuck in the air combo missions? You'll have to press j.C like really early to nail the hit. Once you jump, you press C rather than jumping then waiting to get to the peak of your jump and then press C.
Mr. Kimura Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Good stuff on the j.C stuff. I just started her trials (I'm only on 04 I think?) and found her to be very fun, beyond my expectations. I took her to some matches and actually did better with her than Bang. Tsubaki gives you wiiiiiiiiings.

Not only can you do it from a grab, you can counter across the screen if someone is dedicated to a long move. I've AA'd with it, too. Makes me feel so pro when it lands.

(Who am I kidding, there's no such thing as a "super special awesome killer combo" for Chewbakey) Am I the only one here who wishes 3C goes under shit? Though I don't know how but one time, when I did 3C against a Jin who did an ice car, Tsubaki went right under like how Noel would. Is there still a frame of hope for 3C going under shit?

Things to know: Canceling her Lv3 attacks with a 2D puts you at 0 frame advantage on block if you cancel them on the first possible frame and don't hold D. Moves that aren't worthy 2D canceling for frame advantage (charge canceling them actually puts you at worse frame advantage): 5A 2A 5B 2B
